That beginning reminds me of Beethoven's 23rd Sonata written in similar time. Both of them have minimalistic opening theme - first time in Tonic chord then in Neapolitan chord. And both have quite similar mood for me.
Thank you so much for uploading this! I’m playing the piece with a group of friends next week, and having the score to study for tricky corners is tremendously helpful. What a great resource! Greatly appreciated…
"Da capo il minore ma senza replica ed allora ancora una volta il trio, e dopo di nuovo da capo il minore senza replica." When D. C. al Fine is too good for you.
Also one of those instructions that make it crystal clear that the tradition is that a D.C. means that you have to play all repeats again unless otherwise instructed like Beethoven does here.
Very nice to meet your channel, J. Sanchez ! Great performances and high quality of images ! Do you plan to upload the rest of the Beethoven's string quartets ? What program do you use to cut your pdf files ?
Thank you for your comment! Yes that is my plan as of now. I convert the pdf to jpg images using an online converter and I just use Paint to cut the images and Photoshop to invert the colors on repeats when applicable.

Un'opera davvero gigantesca nella sua concezione e nella sua temperie. Impressionante il Molto Adagio.

Thanks for watching!
If the audio is too quiet let me know and I can re-upload, I think there were some errors during rendering.
Who's performing?
Karl Suske (Violin)
Klaus Peters (Violin)
Karl-Heinz Dommus (Viola),
Matthias Pfaender (Cello)
A little louder would be nice. It's ok but if it is too loud one can still silence it down ...
Marrant comment le dernier mouvement tient le milieu entre celui de la sonate 18 et celui du quatuor 14 !
39:12 very fast triple stops in the violins
they are too fast 🤣🤣
25:03
2nd mov't REALLY tough. Bad key. Hard to keep from making false diminuendos. Great job people!

Is there a reason the cellist plays 13:11 an octave lower than written?
Yes, at the time it was standard notation that if a cello part had a treble clef section, it would be played an octave lower than shown.
I thought I heard a harpsichord in he beginning for a second
Second Movement?
Interprétation franchement médiocre.
