the one stat that really sticks out about brady is if you number crunch and look at what he's done in the playoffs > he has 18 playoff games where he has thrown for +300 yards or more including games of 505 & 466 yards passing
next is peyton manning at 9 games and in manning's last playoff game (SB) he tossed for only 134 yards , 0 TD's ,2INT's at age 38
at age 43 brady was SB mvp and had the greatest first half stats's wise in sb history

Its interesting how most are praising his stats and wins but neglect his greatest ability. He makes everyone around him over perform. He brings the entire team to a new level of excellence that no other sports personality can claim. I don't understand the full measure of this but listening to many who played with him over the years I understand some of it. His true talent is not measured in statistics. Its only a byproduct.

Jim Brown was just like a person from another planet dropped off here, LMAO. But it's hard to compare eras, and fitness regimens and modern training techniques and money, money, money. If there was kind of money back them Jim might have stayed, but then we don't get to see him in The Dirty Dozen with Lee Marvin and that amazing cast or with Rachel Welch and Burt Reynolds in 100 rifles :)

And I have tried my very best these past 22 years. There are no shortcuts to success on the field or in life...... This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes, I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore. I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.” - Tom Brady
