I’m a no Mahomes stand, but he hasn’t even played 10yrs. This is his year 7, so give it 3yrs to see if your initial statement is true. I’ma Lions btw, we gone beat them 49ers and play the Ravens in the SB.

You gotta admit in football that ring argument can’t be the end all be all in such a team dependent game. I understand maybe not now but if mahomes wins three in 7 years this is gonna be one of the greatest stretches in nfl history, if he wins 4 or even five, he can’t be discredited

Right!!! Somehow Mahomes is better than Montana and Peyton now.😂
Brady had to earn his right because he was a 6th round pick with not much talent that started out as a game manager, completely different than mahomes who was a top 10 pick and is the most arm talented qb in the history of football… completely different scenarios
@@Dean543-cc3fd you're seriously either trolling or don't have an IQ above a cucumber.
Brady is ONLY looked at as the GOAT BECAUSE of winning super bowls. Anyone who watched would tell you talent wise/individually that Peyton Manning was better and Aaron Rodgers was also better. You Boston fans are biased understandably so but also try to use revisionist history. I do agree Mahomes hasn't passed Brady yet it's too soon. Simple as that. But talent doesn't make Brady the GOAT.
@@JP-jd8wr Brady could make any throw they could make from the pocket. Just because he couldn’t run around when the play breaks down doesn’t mean he wasn’t as talented lol how does all that talent help rodgers or manning in playoff games?
Apparently in the "Mahomes Era", Mahomes has won the SB twice.
At at same time old man Brady won the SB twice as well.
You can't pass someone who beat you twice in his 40s until you get more rings than him.
This “he beat him” argument for football is so dumb. They don’t actually ever compete directly against each other. It’s not basketball. Look at the afc champ game with Pats vs Chiefs. Dee Ford lost that game. Was sealed and done.
Seriously. Because if Brady had lost twice to Mahomes, the tally would be 5:4 Brady and every media outlet would say Mahomes is GOAT. So h2h wins matter
"You can't beat the guy." Except Brady beat him twice in the playoffs, when he was old. Do people forget Brady started his playoff career 10-0 with 3 Super Bowls in 4 years???

If he keeps his pace up, he will be the GOAT, but Tom has it for now as he’s been there some that for over 20 years
I’ve been saying it’s way to early to tell and to wait about 7-10 yrs down the link for the greatest talk. Many (mostly Gen Z kids) get upset when I say that but it’s the truth. However what you said above is facts if he could win Super Bowl (which will officially make the Chiefs a dynasty) keeps this up no doubt it would definitely be a debate vs Brady years down the line.
Mahomes couldn't beat brady in his 40s in a conference title and a superbowl the debate is over
We have to wait a few more years to see what happens. What happens when Andy Reid retires? What happens when Kelce retires? His production already dropped after Hill left. He threw for 27 TD's and 14 interceptions this season. Brady didn't throw that many picks in his last 16 seasons! And in those 16 seasons, only threw less than 27 TD's 4 times. I literally can't believe this...
Tom Brady not running significantly improved his longevity
Yep. And it could hurt anyone trying to have his longevity. Being a good scrambler is nice, but too much running can cut your career short in the NFL at QB. Brady had to develop elite-level pocket presence and throwing motions to compete (many consider him to have the prototype drop back/throwing motion). People forget he was already mid-career when he started his fitness/health routine and improved his throwing motion. What made him great was his adaptability to any situation and his intangibles.
There is a huge difference from the most talented and the greatest of all time. Talented? Yes, Mahomes is extremely talented. Greatest of all time? Too early to tell.
Mahomes still has work to do bc you can’t compare 6 great years to over 2 decades of greatness, he’s getting there but he ain’t close to Brady yet pump the brakes.
Takes like these is why I'll never take ESPN or their analyst serious.

QBs don't beat QBs. They don't go head to head. They play against DIFFERENT defenses! This isn't boxing or wrestling. That's NOT how football works. Mahomes had no o line while Brady had an AMAZING defense in that Super Bowl.
One argument I always hear to diminish Brady as the goat is that he was a "system QB" or a "game manager". Y'all pretending like he's Dilfer or Brad Johnson when he has the rings AND the stata. Dude has 7 rings and owns all meaningful QB records. He is the Jordan, Russell and Wilt of the NFL.
THANK YOU
In 3 of the Super Bowls he was. In the 1st Super Bowl, Brady had 1 TD in the entire playoffs! In the 1st and 3rd Super Bowl, it was Belichick's defense and Super Bowl 53 where that defense ONLY gave up 3 points - an NFL record.
@@abc_12333 And he threw 500 yards and 3 TDs against the Eagles what's your point?

They’re trying to put Mahomes as the goat, yet when Lamar Jackson beats Patrick Mahomes this Sunday Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson will be on the same level. 😂
It’s not logical to use wins as a metric to determine how good a qb is, stafford on the lions was trash then becasue he lost? Jimmmy g on the 9ers was good because he won?
@@theone7778 It isn't logical to use it as the only metric, but it is logical to be part of their overall measurements. QBs contribute to winning or losing more than any other position in football. They often can make a team good or bad simply by their play. So, you must consider win shares, 4th quarter comebacks, red zone efficiency, etc. when talking about QBs. Otherwise, guys with artificial stats like Dak Prescott will look better than they really are historically. Winning is the most important stat, and QBs contribute to that outcome more than any other player.
I think the biggest problem Pat will have is when Andy Reid calls it a day, people always forget about him.
People always say Pat is the reason why they win and they cannot say that about other players. Ask the patriots how they are getting on without Brady, he won on some seriously flawed teams. In 06 he went to the conference game and came close to winning with literal cast offs at wide reciever.
Pat will be fine
People act like we always saw Tom as the goat because of his ability and now that there is another quarterback that wins at the same level with more ability its a 1:1 comparison. Tom was always doubted and seen as a game manager, even after multiple superbowls. Peyton was getting the numbers and the MVPs, then it was Aaron, then it was Pat, but Tom was always there to knock them out of the playoffs. Football more than any other sport can be won with strategy and film study as your greatest weapon and that is what people in the media seem to not understand. In 2004, when Peyton had one of the most explosive offenses ever, Tom held the ball on offense for 38 minutes to keep the colts offense off the field. That is methodical, deliberate, not flashy football that wins playoff games. That is game prep and total control over every phase of the game from a singular position which is nearly impossible in the sport of football. So yes, Tom doesn't run as fast or throw as hard as many other quarterbacks, but he has won more than any franchise in the history of the sport and that is a measurement of how well he can control the game as a singular piece more than any other player in history. That should be revered and respected more than it is currently. Pat is on his way to doing that, but he will have to at least come close to the longevity because when it comes to head to head matchups he'll never get another shot.
Mahomes over Brady is ABSOLUTELY BLASPHEMOUS!!!!
Media just need headlines at this point and new topics of discussion lol
Mahomes is my favorite QB, as many others would say, but it would be illogical not to crown Brady at this time.
