The fact that only one human is able to convey so many different tones, emotions and fears into these characters is nothing less of impressive. Dee Bradley Baker is incredible.
More people need to be awed by this. Apart from a close resemblance in tone between Hunter and Echo, it is simply amazing how the guy singularly pulls off these very distinctive characters.
When Tech asked “When have we ever followed orders?”, that was the moment my heart completely sank. His sacrifice and sassiness will never be forgotten.

Tech’s death is one of the few Star Wars deaths that genuinely made me tear up man. From the first line he spoke he was my favorite. For him to sacrifice his life to ensure his squad survives is a perfect send-off for him. I’m gonna miss him.
The fact that Wrecker has to live with the fact that the last thing he said to Tech was “don’t you do it Tech” must be heartbreaking for him. No goodbyes just him pleading for Tech to not sacrifice himself and his wish being denied.
People went in to the finale, thinking we were gonna see the rescue of crosshair, and the season ends with the bad batch all together ready for more adventures in season 3. Good god were they wrong. I'm not crying, your crying.
Yeah I thought the same, but I didn’t think anybody- ESPECIALLY not Tech, was gonna die! I figured that Omega would get captured, and that they would find Crosshair, but shoo this episode was stressful😭🫠
“I may process moments and thoughts differently, but it does not mean I feel any less than you.” Tech was really underused in the first season and they did such great things with this character. I started to relate a lot more to him. So yeah, this scene hits hard.
The Bad Batch are supposed to represent autistic adults. They are excellent representation for people on the spectrum. They are autistic savants, and Tech seems to be based on Daniel Tammet.
@@vicboi8109 Because not all autism is visible and it's a spectrum. I am autistic and I felt like I wasn't "normal". And besides I didn't mean they are all literally autistic, I meant that they are meant to be represent the concept of autism - being different and/or alienated from your peers. They are different from the other "normal" clones, so they were deemed "the bad batch". But they're not actually "bad", just different. Like autistic people. We are different, but we aren't bad.
I’m glad Tech didn’t come back, his sacrifice was that of a hero’s and he didn’t die in vain. This moment ended up giving The Bad Batch their happy ending
I agree I know people always want to see a character have some sort of comeback or something but for a story telling standpoint this was the right choice and it was so well done. He gave his life so his family could survive.
@@user-wn1rw1mu3cwhat Crosshair was saying was that they’re nowhere near as capable of pulling off the missions they used to without Tech. Tech was such an important part of how they functioned as a squad and losing him was a major blow.
Dave Filoni shows us in each series that one member of the squad sacrifices himself so that others can live. Previously Fives in Clone Wars, Kanan in Rebels and now Tech in Bad Batch. And yes, the sacrifice scenes are always emotional and well executed.
I wonder how Crosshair will react after learning of his brother’s fate. Perhaps he’ll feel guilty. RIP Tech, you will be missed. And now today, we lost Tech one year ago.
He didn’t even close his eyes as he fell. The last thing he ever saw was his family. Tech was always so selfless and never hesitated to put himself in danger for them and was like a father to Omega (even more so than Hunter imo). I’m gonna miss him so much.
He perhaps did not understand emotions like we do, because his genius brain did not allow him to understand it, but in his own way, he understood us and that was what hit me straight to the heart.
This scene hits hard because the entirety of the show, our main characters somehow seem to always escape death or intense situations where their backs are against the wall, so the feeling that Tech would somehow make it was always lingering in the back of my mind… but then the sudden realization that he won’t be so lucky this time just hits you right in the gut. Rip to my fav Bad Batch soldier, Tech 🫡
@@stopper0203 The adult clones are most likely going to die off, 1 by 1. Omega, on the other hand, is very likely to survive to the New Republic era. I'm willing to guess that Omega will become a foundling of the Children of the Watch, and then eventually take over the mantle of Armorer (from the previous title holder), thus becoming the Armorer who mentors Din Djarin in "The Mandalorian."
Not following orders is what made them so special too. The start of this series was with the refusal of an order and if he is truly gone, it's how Tech chose to go out.
Taking a look back at this scene a year later after the Series Finale and realizing this is probably the first time that Disney has ever killed off a main character to fall damage without a body for confirmation. Rip Tech the Brave, your sacrifice will not be forgotten.
Even though I was onboard with the goggles meaning tech lived, now I see it as Hemlock delivering Tech's body to the Bad Batch when he gave them his goggles. Tech falling might have gone askew just enough that the tram crushed everything below his eyes. This would have resulted in the top half of his helmet and goggles being recoverable. The goggles making it out is the confirmation for the body, hence why Hemlock said "It was all they could..."
Coming back after the series finale- man this hits even harder knowing he is for sure gone. I’m crying my eyes out just because we know now for sure that he is gone.
The moment I saw the title Plan 99, I instantly knew it meant sacrifice. Just like how 99 sacrificed his life for his brothers on Kamino, Tech sacrificed his life for his squad

I wouldn't say 99 sacrificed himself. He ran down a straight hallway with live rounds going down it without actively seeking cover, all while attempting to get grenades that evidently weren't needed. He died a fool, not a hero.
yeah - even as someone who's been insisting that he was definitely dead since the S2 finale aired, it kinda didn't feel real. I kept expecting him to show up at some point in season 3. The moment the credits rolled and he _still_ wasn't back are when it fully set in that he really did just up & die here. Makes rewatching this scene feel hella different knowing he genuinely is gone
I for sure thought that Echo was gonna be the one to die first. That whole scene with Hunter in episode 14 made me feel like Echo was gonna die. Dang, Phee's gonna have a hard time.
I didn’t figure that they’d kill off echo, only because they had him already die once they weren’t just gonna kill him off again. But damn, I really didn’t want tech to die, I actually really liked his character (even in season 1, where he was a bit more cut and dry)
I think one death is better than 2, Tech did what he did to save his squad, his family. Also, I honestly didn’t notice that Phew had a thing for Tech until watching episode 15 and what’s surprising is that we got the last 2 episodes of season 2 this quickly.
People have survived worse in the Star Wars universe. He was in a situation that realistically would be impossible to survive. Then again, so was Echo, Gregor, Maul, Boba Fett, Ahsoka... Hell, even Palpatine "somehow" returned. Also, it is a very common story trope - If there is no body, the person can still be brought back, somehow. I'm not saying he is alive, just that they might bring him back if they want to.

The worst part is that the camera shot made it clear that even if Tech survived the fall for a fraction of a second, the train car would immediately pulverize him upon impact. Tech's closed casket, next to no doubt about it. Note that Hemlock says the goggles were all he could "salvage" not all he could "find." Meaning the goggles were the most inact thing about Tech.
We are talking about the same Hemlock here, correct? The one who will do anything, say anything to get what he wants, when he wants it… and will stop at nothing to ensure its success? Hemlock is a lying, cockroach but a clever one I’ll give him that much. Giving those goggles back as a “gift” was an act of control. I think there’s a high chance that if Tech did indeed survive like I believe he has, Hemlock has him.

The tragedy of this is that Tech died never get to see his freedom. While the rest of the Bad Batch lived on as free men on Pabu, Tech died as a soldier. Never being able to live peacefully on Pabu, never being able to see Crosshair's redemption, and the worst of it, he didn't even get to see Omega grew up.
I've already commented on this vid, but I can't believe I've only now just noticed that even after Tech shot the connection hinge, Wrecker still tried to hold up the train cart at 0:14 so it wouldn't fall. How horrible it must have felt for him to lose his grip on the only thing stopping Tech from falling. I think Wrecker definitely felt the impact. Bless him.

Honestly never saw this coming... I thought Echo might be the one to go, but Tech? It really got to me. Just finished watching and... I have no words except... well, f*ck Saw Gerrara. He's [in]directly responsible for the situation that led to Tech's death.
Saw was never the same after his sister's death. But this was just unjustifiable. He's up there with hatred towards Tarkin, Rampart, and Hemlock. All of which are former Republic turned Empire.

No matter which clone died, we’d be upset but the choice boiled down to between Tech and Wrecker. However if I may offer a glimmer of hope, with Star Wars I always go by the principle that a character isn’t dead till you see they’re dead remains….it could be Tech still lives. All Hemlock said was, his goggles were all that could recovered….maybe Tech managed to save himself in the fall and left the goggles for Hemlock to find.

I mean I still think Fives takes the cake, since you'd watched him change Rex, and watched as all his brothers died, and as he tries to save them from doom, they kill him. Then he tries to have his role model, the clone that saved him from doom see that he was just trying to save them, as he slowly dies, knowing he failed. Techs death was sad, but I don't think it tops the hopelessness of Five's death.

Techs Death was problaby one of the most brutal death ever, he had only a light armour, with such an high fall and the train above him, he basically got all his bones crushed.
Something about the line ‘when have we ever followed orders’ feels so perfect and antithetical to ‘good soldiers follow orders’ cause the Batch aren’t soldiers they’re family.
The fact that Hemlock found his body makes me believe Tech is not dead. He may have taken his body for horrific experiments and modifications in order to become his "ideal" soldier Edit: I stand corrected. Cowboy hats off to you Dave for actually killing off a main character.

Like people want Windu back but it ruins the significance of Anakin’s turn. Even IG-11’s sacrifice was ruined in the new season of Mando. I think one of the more haunting aspects of Techs' death is the fact we see his eyes, with most clones, their helmets cover their whole face, so they're just another body to be killed, but with Tech, you see the look in his eyes, that solum resolution as he falls, it the last time you truly see "Him" and not just another clone.
This whole scene was tragic, but honourable. Tech going out protecting his squad to ensure they live to fight another day made my heart sink and curious for how the squad adapts to him being gone when season 3 comes. Another thing that makes me curious is how the Batch will react when they next encounter Saw. His charges did cause all the damage to the base, plus the rack rail power outage which led to Tech's death. Really shows the lengths he'll go to ensure the Empire's fall even if it results in death on the wrong side.
Saw doesn't ensure its fall, he ensures that it'll grip the galaxy tighter. This accomplished nothing but increase Imperial security. Like the BB said, anyone they kill can be replaced other than Vader and the Emperor himself whom are both untouchable.
Hunter would blame Saw, Wrecker would want to break his jaw. Once Crosshair finds out, he'd want to shoot him and Omega would swear never to forgive him. Echo, well, he'd want to kick his ass.
Saw may be protected for the remainder of the show for plot reasons (can’t die until Rogue One), but Cid does not have that protection. How cool/ironic would it be that Omega (the one who liked Cid the most) will be the one to shoot Cid for her betrayal?
Tech’s internal realization that there’s nothing that could be done to save him is just.. heartbreaking. These are the emotions we need and deserve from cinema and Hollywood as a whole. It’s crazy how much more emotion a damn animated show has brought me growing up, more than the movies and the things that look and feel more real than animation. Maybe it’s because the clones were always my favorite part of the lore. I’m the 5th in a lineage carrying the same name. I find myself sometimes to be a clone. To carry my name is to honor my fathers name and so forth before them, and so in that sense I feel immense sadness for the clones and their situations. They only ever were bred for war. For a singular purpose. It makes you really think, did my father have me for that purpose? Did his father have him for the same? Tech’s death is a reminder that, as men, it is honorable to accept defeat and know when you’re beaten. Weigh the odds and consider the lives of those that are intertwined with yours. If you had a chance to save your siblings, parents, friends, or whomever made an impact on you, would you find yourself with the same courage he had..? Or as much as we’d like to believe we are that, would we really just be as scared and emotional as the rest of the bad batch. It takes great writing to really delve into the inner depths of your heart and feel things for people that don’t even exist. Just.. well done. All the filler this season was worth it. All the ups and downs are realized and we know the stakes. Hunter echo and wrecker are LIVID. You know their anger. You feel it within yourself. Your teeth grind and your fists clinch. Techs death with not go in vain. This is the greatest Star Wars media in recent memory for me. It combines the prequel and sequel eras and gives you a sense for how desperate the galaxy is becoming in the empire’s rule. (Cuss warning) I’m so excited for next season and I’m ready to feel fucking primal rage as these 3 probably do. Oh baby I CAN NOT wait to see where this goes.
Darth Maul, Obi Wan, Yoda, Palpatine, Leia, and many many others have survived falls of similar height no problem. And yes: “there force users” but the simply truth is Star Wars has established falls aren’t lethal And if you don’t see a body they aren’t dead all we see are goggles Add in a group of mysterious clones who hide their faces (one of which has similar body proportions to Tech) and can you blame people for not taking this death seriously? I sure as hell didn’t.

We know how much of a cruel bastard Hemlock is, why settle for delivering the goggles when dragging the body before the Batch would have rubbed so much more salt in the wound? Plus if the cable car had indeed splattered Tech, those goggles would have been a good deal messier. But no, they're clean. Broken, I'll grant you, but clean. Tech's role in the BB series is done, but I suspect the writers aren't quite done with him yet.

While it's regrettable he died, I'm glad they didn't pull a "Somehow Tech returned". Too many times I see a character "die" in Star Wars and other media only for them to come back and make their "death" pointless. Deaths should have meanings and bringing someone from the dead feels like a copout. I wish Tech didn't die, but I don't want his death to be taken so lightly that we can pretend it never happened.
This moment feels like Gandalf the Grey in Lord of the Rings when he says 'Fly you Fools' only Tech says to Wrecker 'When have we ever followed Orders?' Only differently.
Tech is one of my favorite characters in the show. this scene hit me like a ton of bricks. When it happened I immediately screamed “NO” and wrecker and omegas reaction killed me and later on when the doctor threw tech’s glasses to hunter my jaw dropped. Season 2 was an a emotional rollercoaster can’t wait for season 3
That whole bit with the glasses is why I'm not convinced that Tech is dead. I've watched enough anime and animated shows to know the death isn't confirmed unless the body is seen. Why settle for throwing the glasses when they could have been far more cruel and dragged Tech's body before them? And don't give me that whole 'The public is too sensitive, Disney won't try that' crap. If I had a dollar for every on-screen death (excluding animals or droids) in Clone Wars, I'd be able to buy myself a PS5. The way I see it, the Empire is using Tech for something. Something big, and they don't want the rest of the Batch digging into it.
Honestly, as much as I liked Tech, I was okay that he really died because bringing him back would’ve really undermined his sacrifice. In the words of Colonel Meebur Gascon, Tech did what a soldier does, sacrificed himself for the lives of others.

I noticed before but it just hit me that Wrecker was holding all of the weight of that train car when Tech severed the connection until his strength failed him. He blames himself even though he knows it isn't his fault.
I mean that's the thing. Even if by a miracle that Tech survived not only the fall, but getting crushed by the carriage, his body is gonna be in critical condition. Hemlock would probably do something similar that happened to Echo when he was on Skako Minor.
Holy crap, Tech and Crosshair are getting turned into Death Troopers! (Probably) And also, the Empire does form its own Task Force 99 (as if replacing the original Clone Force 99), so I guess Hemlock and Tarkin pick Tech and Crosshair to be its first members.

Man, this show was really good and tech not being able to be there in the end was sad and the shows finale really was bitter to me. I’m going to miss the excitement of Wednesdays. This show was the first to ever put me to tears

I somehow felt they were going to kill him off about halfway through the season, yet his death was so impactful beyond expectation. The concept of what Plan 99 must mean is so noble and devoted to the squad and at the same time a sad and alarming way of going away. And those have got to be some of the hardest-hitting last words I’ve heard in all Star Wars, considering what Clone Force 99 represent.
I can't stop thinking about this. Thinking about how Hunter and Wrecker likely won't return to Pabu till Omega is found, thinking about how Phee won't know what really happened to Tech till then, thinking about Wrecker just stood there in complete and utter disbelief. He didn't even turn around for Omega. And Crosshair, anything he wants to say to Omega, Hunter, or Wrecker he can. But to Tech? His last memories with Tech will be of him making his biggest mistakes and he won't ever get the chance to have Tech tell him he understood the whole time and that if Crosshair wanted them dead, they wouldn't be having this conversation. This was unexpected, despite how expected it was I'll never forget the Warrior Genius that was Tech. In all his combat scenes I could only think about how damn badass he was despite being the "nerd" of the group. Dude really helped carry in combat situations, and anything that involved a circuit.
After watching the finale, I will say that it was wishful thinking that tech was alive/being a believer in the “techs alive” theory. Although I say that there was some basis to this theory, as echo survived the clone wars citadel arc after being blown up by a literal turbo laser tower, and techs death was one of those off screen ones.
Echo survived in pieces as a result of his accident. Tech is falling under massive debris while still connected to it, in the heat of combat. It probably wasn’t a pretty sight for Hemlocks men once they discovered his body.
As sad as it is, we all saw it coming. He was getting a lot of screen time and he even got a love interest. I cried many tears, RIP tech, you'll be missed.
No screaming, no fear, just a solider doing what he does, protecting his squad mates, his family.

Tech’s death is one of the few Star Wars deaths that genuinely made me tear up man. From the first line he spoke he was my favorite. For him to sacrifice his life to ensure his squad survives is a perfect send-off for him. I’m gonna miss him.

Dave Filoni shows us in each series that one member of the squad sacrifices himself so that others can live. Previously Fives in Clone Wars, Kanan in Rebels and now Tech in Bad Batch. And yes, the sacrifice scenes are always emotional and well executed.

This scene hits hard because the entirety of the show, our main characters somehow seem to always escape death or intense situations where their backs are against the wall, so the feeling that Tech would somehow make it was always lingering in the back of my mind… but then the sudden realization that he won’t be so lucky this time just hits you right in the gut. Rip to my fav Bad Batch soldier, Tech 🫡

Taking a look back at this scene a year later after the Series Finale and realizing this is probably the first time that Disney has ever killed off a main character to fall damage without a body for confirmation.

Even though I was onboard with the goggles meaning tech lived, now I see it as Hemlock delivering Tech's body to the Bad Batch when he gave them his goggles. Tech falling might have gone askew just enough that the tram crushed everything below his eyes. This would have resulted in the top half of his helmet and goggles being recoverable. The goggles making it out is the confirmation for the body, hence why Hemlock said "It was all they could..."

yeah - even as someone who's been insisting that he was definitely dead since the S2 finale aired, it kinda didn't feel real. I kept expecting him to show up at some point in season 3.
The moment the credits rolled and he _still_ wasn't back are when it fully set in that he really did just up & die here. Makes rewatching this scene feel hella different knowing he genuinely is gone

People have survived worse in the Star Wars universe. He was in a situation that realistically would be impossible to survive. Then again, so was Echo, Gregor, Maul, Boba Fett, Ahsoka... Hell, even Palpatine "somehow" returned. Also, it is a very common story trope - If there is no body, the person can still be brought back, somehow. I'm not saying he is alive, just that they might bring him back if they want to.

The worst part is that the camera shot made it clear that even if Tech survived the fall for a fraction of a second, the train car would immediately pulverize him upon impact. Tech's closed casket, next to no doubt about it.
Note that Hemlock says the goggles were all he could "salvage" not all he could "find." Meaning the goggles were the most inact thing about Tech.
We are talking about the same Hemlock here, correct? The one who will do anything, say anything to get what he wants, when he wants it… and will stop at nothing to ensure its success? Hemlock is a lying, cockroach but a clever one I’ll give him that much. Giving those goggles back as a “gift” was an act of control. I think there’s a high chance that if Tech did indeed survive like I believe he has, Hemlock has him.

I've already commented on this vid, but I can't believe I've only now just noticed that even after Tech shot the connection hinge, Wrecker still tried to hold up the train cart at 0:14 so it wouldn't fall. How horrible it must have felt for him to lose his grip on the only thing stopping Tech from falling. I think Wrecker definitely felt the impact. Bless him.

No matter which clone died, we’d be upset but the choice boiled down to between Tech and Wrecker. However if I may offer a glimmer of hope, with Star Wars I always go by the principle that a character isn’t dead till you see they’re dead remains….it could be Tech still lives. All Hemlock said was, his goggles were all that could recovered….maybe Tech managed to save himself in the fall and left the goggles for Hemlock to find.

The fact that Hemlock found his body makes me believe Tech is not dead. He may have taken his body for horrific experiments and modifications in order to become his "ideal" soldier

I mean Clone Force 99 is a reference to him anyways. Rex even said '99 huh? Nice touch' when he heard the squad's name
I think one of the more haunting aspects of Techs' death is the fact we see his eyes, with most clones, their helmets cover their whole face, so they're just another body to be killed, but with Tech, you see the look in his eyes, that solum resolution as he falls, it the last time you truly see "Him" and not just another clone.
If you notice just before seeing his eyes the last moment, you can see him close his eyes like he accepted his fate.
"It's a good thing we were wearing helmets....because none of us could bare to look her in the eye."
This whole scene was tragic, but honourable. Tech going out protecting his squad to ensure they live to fight another day made my heart sink and curious for how the squad adapts to him being gone when season 3 comes.
Another thing that makes me curious is how the Batch will react when they next encounter Saw. His charges did cause all the damage to the base, plus the rack rail power outage which led to Tech's death. Really shows the lengths he'll go to ensure the Empire's fall even if it results in death on the wrong side.
Saw doesn't ensure its fall, he ensures that it'll grip the galaxy tighter. This accomplished nothing but increase Imperial security. Like the BB said, anyone they kill can be replaced other than Vader and the Emperor himself whom are both untouchable.
Hunter would blame Saw, Wrecker would want to break his jaw. Once Crosshair finds out, he'd want to shoot him and Omega would swear never to forgive him. Echo, well, he'd want to kick his ass.
They're gonna probably beat him up and bring about that breathing difficulty problem he had in Rogue One.

Tech’s internal realization that there’s nothing that could be done to save him is just.. heartbreaking. These are the emotions we need and deserve from cinema and Hollywood as a whole. It’s crazy how much more emotion a damn animated show has brought me growing up, more than the movies and the things that look and feel more real than animation. Maybe it’s because the clones were always my favorite part of the lore. I’m the 5th in a lineage carrying the same name. I find myself sometimes to be a clone. To carry my name is to honor my fathers name and so forth before them, and so in that sense I feel immense sadness for the clones and their situations. They only ever were bred for war. For a singular purpose. It makes you really think, did my father have me for that purpose? Did his father have him for the same? Tech’s death is a reminder that, as men, it is honorable to accept defeat and know when you’re beaten. Weigh the odds and consider the lives of those that are intertwined with yours. If you had a chance to save your siblings, parents, friends, or whomever made an impact on you, would you find yourself with the same courage he had..? Or as much as we’d like to believe we are that, would we really just be as scared and emotional as the rest of the bad batch. It takes great writing to really delve into the inner depths of your heart and feel things for people that don’t even exist. Just.. well done. All the filler this season was worth it. All the ups and downs are realized and we know the stakes. Hunter echo and wrecker are LIVID. You know their anger. You feel it within yourself. Your teeth grind and your fists clinch. Techs death with not go in vain. This is the greatest Star Wars media in recent memory for me. It combines the prequel and sequel eras and gives you a sense for how desperate the galaxy is becoming in the empire’s rule. (Cuss warning) I’m so excited for next season and I’m ready to feel fucking primal rage as these 3 probably do. Oh baby I CAN NOT wait to see where this goes.
My personal best thing since Clone Wars season 7, although I haven’t watched Andor, the popular choice.

Darth Maul, Obi Wan, Yoda, Palpatine, Leia, and many many others have survived falls of similar height no problem. And yes: “there force users” but the simply truth is Star Wars has established falls aren’t lethal

Add in a group of mysterious clones who hide their faces (one of which has similar body proportions to Tech) and can you blame people for not taking this death seriously? I sure as hell didn’t.
@@theduke9292 Finally someone else mentions the goggles. We know how much of a cruel bastard Hemlock is, why settle for delivering the goggles when dragging the body before the Batch would have rubbed so much more salt in the wound?
Plus if the cable car had indeed splattered Tech, those goggles would have been a good deal messier. But no, they're clean. Broken, I'll grant you, but clean.
Tech's role in the BB series is done, but I suspect the writers aren't quite done with him yet.

While it's regrettable he died, I'm glad they didn't pull a "Somehow Tech returned". Too many times I see a character "die" in Star Wars and other media only for them to come back and make their "death" pointless. Deaths should have meanings and bringing someone from the dead feels like a copout. I wish Tech didn't die, but I don't want his death to be taken so lightly that we can pretend it never happened.
This moment feels like Gandalf the Grey in Lord of the Rings when he says 'Fly you Fools' only Tech says to Wrecker 'When have we ever followed Orders?' Only differently.
And you hope we see Tech survive.

Tech is one of my favorite characters in the show. this scene hit me like a ton of bricks. When it happened I immediately screamed “NO” and wrecker and omegas reaction killed me and later on when the doctor threw tech’s glasses to hunter my jaw dropped. Season 2 was an a emotional rollercoaster can’t wait for season 3
That whole bit with the glasses is why I'm not convinced that Tech is dead. I've watched enough anime and animated shows to know the death isn't confirmed unless the body is seen.
Why settle for throwing the glasses when they could have been far more cruel and dragged Tech's body before them? And don't give me that whole 'The public is too sensitive, Disney won't try that' crap. If I had a dollar for every on-screen death (excluding animals or droids) in Clone Wars, I'd be able to buy myself a PS5.
The way I see it, the Empire is using Tech for something. Something big, and they don't want the rest of the Batch digging into it.

Honestly, as much as I liked Tech, I was okay that he really died because bringing him back would’ve really undermined his sacrifice. In the words of Colonel Meebur Gascon, Tech did what a soldier does, sacrificed himself for the lives of others.
@@SgtAJ218 I do like that he looks at his family one last time as he falls and you see him close his eyes, he makes sure that was the last thing he ever saw, his family, he goes out with that being the last thing on his mind.

I noticed before but it just hit me that Wrecker was holding all of the weight of that train car when Tech severed the connection until his strength failed him. He blames himself even though he knows it isn't his fault.

I don’t think Tech’s dead but his sacrifice will hit even harder than if he did, once we find out what Hemlock turns him into.
I mean that's the thing. Even if by a miracle that Tech survived not only the fall, but getting crushed by the carriage, his body is gonna be in critical condition. Hemlock would probably do something similar that happened to Echo when he was on Skako Minor.
Holy crap, Tech and Crosshair are getting turned into Death Troopers! (Probably)
And also, the Empire does form its own Task Force 99 (as if replacing the original Clone Force 99), so I guess Hemlock and Tarkin pick Tech and Crosshair to be its first members.
@@topnotchshinobi I think Crosshair’s close proximity to Omega and the clone lady means he’d probably be rescued but Hemlock is deliberately keeping Tech by himself and he’ll end up being an early Death Trooper as Omega and the others think he’s dead

Man, this show was really good and tech not being able to be there in the end was sad and the shows finale really was bitter to me. I’m going to miss the excitement of Wednesdays. This show was the first to ever put me to tears

Damn it Saw! If he had listened to the gang and disabled that bomb and worked with them. Then everyone would of made it out alive and they would of found Mt. Tantis. He is directly responsible for not only Tech's death, but for Omega being captured.

I doubt tech is dead. Since the doctor said “this is all I could recover” then presenting the goggles. He’s probably alive, if you don’t see a body on screen then they aren’t dead
Counter point, people say this was a kids show, if that’s true they were never gunna show his body, they heavily implied he’s dead ( also no way he survived that fall he ain’t no jedi ).
@@ClassicStudStudios people can survive falls from that high. It has happened. Once you hit terminal velocity it's the same chances no matter the height but the amount of people that do is so small and let's just say he won't be walking anymore.

I somehow felt they were going to kill him off about halfway through the season, yet his death was so impactful beyond expectation. The concept of what Plan 99 must mean is so noble and devoted to the squad and at the same time a sad and alarming way of going away.
And those have got to be some of the hardest-hitting last words I’ve heard in all Star Wars, considering what Clone Force 99 represent.

I can't stop thinking about this. Thinking about how Hunter and Wrecker likely won't return to Pabu till Omega is found, thinking about how Phee won't know what really happened to Tech till then, thinking about Wrecker just stood there in complete and utter disbelief. He didn't even turn around for Omega. And Crosshair, anything he wants to say to Omega, Hunter, or Wrecker he can. But to Tech? His last memories with Tech will be of him making his biggest mistakes and he won't ever get the chance to have Tech tell him he understood the whole time and that if Crosshair wanted them dead, they wouldn't be having this conversation. This was unexpected, despite how expected it was
I'll never forget the Warrior Genius that was Tech. In all his combat scenes I could only think about how damn badass he was despite being the "nerd" of the group. Dude really helped carry in combat situations, and anything that involved a circuit.
After watching the finale, I will say that it was wishful thinking that tech was alive/being a believer in the “techs alive” theory. Although I say that there was some basis to this theory, as echo survived the clone wars citadel arc after being blown up by a literal turbo laser tower, and techs death was one of those off screen ones.
Echo survived in pieces as a result of his accident. Tech is falling under massive debris while still connected to it, in the heat of combat. It probably wasn’t a pretty sight for Hemlocks men once they discovered his body.
As sad as it is, we all saw it coming. He was getting a lot of screen time and he even got a love interest.
I cried many tears, RIP tech, you'll be missed.
