    I replaced the hose on one back in like 2008 without instructions...I was successful, but swore I'd never try that again, lol. I gave it away to a friend, still fully functional, around 2017. It was 11 years old at the time.

    Excellent video and tutorial. I was immediately able to locate the problem which was the bridge rectifier which I verified as I was able to start the pump motor using an external 12V power source. Problem is that I am unable to source the bridge rectifier so if anyone can assist would be appreciated. Thanks much for the time to post this vid which I am certain has helped so many of us mere poor mortals. Thanks again.

    I have an old bissell proheat 2x that was in storage for a long time and was not working. Turned out that the heater core was all clogged up. I replaced the pump and bridge rectifier just in case, but it is not clear how to connect the hoses to the 12V pump. I know the where the hose that is hooked to the heater core is connected to the pump, but how about the other two hoses? To which ports on the pump does the other two hoses connect to? Thanks for any input.

    To test the solenoid, just plug in the carpet cleaner and pull the trigger to heat for a clicking sound? Do I need to turn on the carpet cleaner then pull the trigger?

    I removed the heater and found that I can force air between the inlet & outlet, so it must be one of the other components (solenoid, pump). On my model (looks like the one in the video) there are 2 hoses that go from the plastic riser tube (vacuum?) to the top of the pump and the pump motor. Do they actuate relays or something?

    I’ve only used the machine twice it’s been stored for 4-5 years. It still looks brand new. I just took it out and my brushes aren’t turning and no water spraying at all. All tanks where empty all this time. Belts look fine. How much does pump and motor cost together?

    • @MpVacuum316
      @MpVacuum316  Před rokem

      Pump runs about 25 but I think the problem you have is the heater might be plugged up ….

      if the pump is working and the heater is not clogged the tubes must be clogged

    I have the same one but not getting suction on the bottom part but I am on the tool wand. I turn the dial to carpet but suction. I cleaned it and took it apart cleaned the filter and nozzle on the front. Still no suction??? What am I over looking? Can the drive belt cause it to not have suction on the carpet part? Still have suction on the tool wand?

    If you are able to spray water thru the accessory hose but do not get water out of the nozzle, could the pump still be bad?

    • @MpVacuum316
      @MpVacuum316  Před 3 lety

      No ...the pump should be good. If this is your problem I will the solenoid valve going towards the spraying tips ...

    Mine stopped spraying from bottom but still sprays using the hose tool. Hose and spray nozzles are clean. I also cleaned the heater. What else could be the problem?

    • @MpVacuum316
      @MpVacuum316  Před 3 lety +1

      It could be your pump or the solenoid valve

    • @nwong8
      @nwong8 Před 3 lety

      I replaced the solenoid. cleaned all the hoses and heater. Still same issue. In fact, now the hose spray stopped spraying also. I checked the pump, it does have spark. Does that narrow it down to bridge rectifier?

    • @MpVacuum316
      @MpVacuum316  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes the pump runs on that bridge rectifier. Your pump could be plugged up even though it still sparks.

    • @nwong8
      @nwong8 Před 3 lety

      Replaced the pump and bridge rectifier. Spraying is fixed but now it has low suction. Suction was fine before replacing those pieces. What do you suggest?

      I would check the motor gasket.....
