For anyone asking about the solder peice of wire. I read in other comments thats there to ground out static friction from the materials going through the hose. Pretty much to prevent low risk shocks to the user. It will still run without reconnecting however.
I have an old bissell proheat 2x that was in storage for a long time and was not working. Turned out that the heater core was all clogged up. I replaced the pump and bridge rectifier just in case, but it is not clear how to connect the hoses to the 12V pump. I know the where the hose that is hooked to the heater core is connected to the pump, but how about the other two hoses? To which ports on the pump does the other two hoses connect to? Thanks for any input.
Shennanigans like this is why I will never buy another Miele. Why do I now have to deal with this stupid spring recoil? Oh, because on a $1,300 vacuum cleaner, they used (as of Feb. 2024) $2.01 springs (think bent paper clips) to control the cable rewind mechanism. Surprise, surprise, those just snap at some point. Now you have to take apart the snapped together all plastic vacuum cleaner and deal with this sort of thing. All to get to and change a spring that is guaranteed to break, and most likely be the first thing to break, and yet, the most difficult part to deal with. Customers should not have to pay for bad design, we already paid for the vacuum.
This video was not complete, why do a video that doesn't show putting it back together , and or,not even showing how the repairing process goes.boooooo.
You don’t need to solder anything, the pain in the butt part is forcing the hose back over the plastic barbs, but it can be done. I ripped that little wire out have no idea what it does and it works just fine without it.
Is that normal if the yellow (little round button) stays on? Your video has lots of (different tools needed a number of screws changes). Best advice: Take it in!!!!!!!
And i need help taking the plastic off so i can get to all that.. i dont want to break the plastic but i dont see any more screws connecting so i guess ill keep trying.. my problem with it is the red rolling brushes wont spin but it turns on an the fan is spinning an it only has 1 belt on 1 side so if any suggestions id appropriate it.. btw i have a brissell pro heat select pet 2x
This isn't hard. Even I did it, when my vacuum guy blew me off. I needed to replace the foot petal that lowers the head so you can vacuum. You can get the screws out with a tiny allen wrench that is used in the Belkin AirTag holder, the kind that says it needs a "key" to be unlocked, and has a silver loop at the top. I also found the MulWark 6 piece screwdriver bit set, about $9 on Amazon helpful. It has a 2.0 mm (-) PH00 (+) 2.4 MM (-) PH0 3 MM and PH1 set. I use that tiny screwdriver set to tighten doorknobs, handles, etc., and it's a lot quicker than the "real" screwdriver set I got at Lowes. A lot of hidden hair near the rotary belt that makes the brush roll rotate. Did not notice that at first. Look there, get seam rippers.
Did you happen to see if that motor was available from dyson or another manufacturer. I can get mine to work if I hit it with a hammer but then it stops immediately
Excellent :) Mine needs a good cleanout, but was hesitant about just ripping off the control panel! S638, bright yellow, but seems virtually identical otherwise. Thanks :)
Thank you! This helped so much. Definitely hard to get the twisting ring off and then on again, but we did it. I wish Sharks didn't fall apart so quickly because I like this model and it's accessories.
I have this vacuum and it stopped turning on. I smelled burnt plastic. Took it apart and I can see the larger white pin connector has a burned spot. I can see on the one you’re working with here it is also brown. Not fried like mine though. Min 3:04 its the first pin. Connected to the cord reel it seems. Can that be replaced? The pins and wires. Not sure what to call them. Thanks
My bissell carpet cleaner release pedal has snapped off something inside my machine. Have you got a video on how to unscrew everything so I can get to it pls?
Amazing video, I just fixed my shark. I was worried that I won't be able to fix it as it's more than 10 years old, but thanks to this video, I just fixed it.
Appreciate it. For at least a temporary fix, it's great!
thank you
Maybe not the worst repair video ever made, but the worst, most incomplete one I've seen.
Garbage product
Great fixed my roomba 😊

Watching you struggle to connect the hose back on was satisfying cause I gave it a good half hour earlier and still no success lmao
WOW sweet saved me $80 bucks and works great again !!!
Insert screwdrivers into my ring piece ? Got it 👍
Thank you

Hello could you send me a picture of the two hoses you are trying to connect
@@MpVacuum316 Hello! At the moment, I can't because I am out of town. But I should be back in about 2 wees and will send the pics then. Thanks!
Hey quick question the little green wire that got detached how would you attach that back ?
Hello you have to solder it back ...
what is the purpose of the black poly tubing that comes off bag compartment coming all the way to the cord winder?
Best home cleaning system money can buy, Bought my G4 new in 1994 still outlasted and out cleaning plastic vacuums 30 yrs on . 👌👌
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for this vid. It was exactly what I needed. I think the powerhead assembly is available on Amazon for about $100.
Glad it helped
Hi, I have problem with this product, no give error and is powern on, but when I try to start clean, he restart in loop with counter
Get a Go Pro and use a tripod. Very shaky video and not well planned. However, I learned something.
Thank you
Worst video on this machine. Camera angle was so poor, we had no idea what you were doing.
Awful video

Missing the best part :( but good advice ! :)
Next time!
Hello...did you ever find the video of how to connect the tension spring? And what Sebo part works in the Miele?
I used a Sebo canister vacuum … the spring seems to work fine …
Funniest repair I have seen in a while. You F'd it up. How not to repair a crosswave.
Care to make a video that demonstrates the right way to rectify the issue?
Perhaps explain where and how to remove the canister part. Thanks
You got it
Excellent video thank you so much. You helped me a ton.
Glad it helped!

if the motor is sparking (with burning smell) does it need to be replaced?
yes
Another way to test the solenoid is have someone press the red button that activates the water and listen for clicking
Correct

My motor was clean

Ridiculously difficult to clean. Who has a T10 laying around. Horrible design.
I agree
Thanks for the T10 info. We were trying to figure out what we needed to buy. We didn’t have one laying around either.
Any tutorial on the seb 228?
take it off carpeted counter
It would be nice to see the inside!
What’s the name of that gear you were hammering ? I need one

Hey! 2years later and you’re still helping people out. Cheers dude!

I’ve been searching to find a video to replace the cov but only find other models that don’t look anything like my up14... any ideas? Thanks
