It does seem while I bet the 1000$ one has that far zooming feature which is sometimes not needed, it also has like a lighter choice of filtering. I think the Pixel camera shows more realistic lighting even if sometimes that can be more bland looking in the image instead of brightening up average areas. I bet some people like it because with a light filter it's more deceptive.

Really awesome comparison. My fav phone to date has always been pixel 3 but I'm about to buy a 13 mini as its the closest new phone that matches the size that I prefer. Camera differences in relation to cost difference was what I was looking for in a video. Great presentation and content all around. Much appreciated!

I have a s22 ultra and a pixel 3xl I use for work and it's still holding up very well
I still use my Pixel 3 XL at home to watch videos in bed at night and listen to music and podcasts. Beautiful display. Incredible speakers. Smooth and fast software. Killer camera. The only downside is that the battery is fairly weak these days. I have a Pixel 7 and Galaxy S22 Ultra that I actually use as daily phones, but i will always love and find the Pixel 3XL to be one of the best phones ever

Nice video. But selfie camera 📸 on pixel 3xl can punch out far. Have a slider on it. Goes out further than that 🙂 all so on front recording in day why does the iPhone make you look like a ghost lol pale as. Pixel looks better skin. Etc
I think the iPhone has flat profile, I didnt change anything or color grade. I forgot the wide selfie on Pixel 3 XL, I should have added that function too!! 👍😁

For a 2018 release (pixel 3XL) to battle so closely with a 2021 release (iPhone 13), then Google is incredible.

I think for the average phone user, it's too close to call it. When you look deeper than just the camera's, and look at value for money in 2022, a brand new Pixel 3XL is much better value than a brand new IPhone 13, and will satisfy most peoples needs. It's a real shame that Google don't support their older devices for longer, and this is probably the biggest consideration when choosing a phone, but if your happy with the android version the phone gets stuck on or you are able to install a custom rom and are happy using AVG or similar to protect the security of your devices, happy days. I have just purchased three Pixel phones, a 2XL stuck on Android 11 which is ok, a 3XL stuck on android 12 and a 4XL which will get android 13, i love all 3 for different reasons, and i got all 3 phones brand new for less than the cost of the standard IPhone 13, i'm a very happy chappy. Whilst Pixel devices are not perfect, neither are the IPhones either, but for me, the experience of using a Pixel is overall better than using an IPhone, as i personally prefer android over IOS. Personal choice. The main reason i buy older Pixel devices brand new, is 1. value for money. 2. 3 phones with rotated usage will last 3 times longer, i.e. battery life. 3. You have 3 devices to play with and experience, instead of just one, more fun. Happy days.

With google editing software its a monster but technology on the new phones have left it behing in other areas.....i.e. blue tooth , refresh rates, gb, ram, video etc.....but still the best selfie camera!!!! Ultra Wide 97 fov baby!!!!
Still good bang for the buck. Just be sure to swap out that battery on the Pixel 3/3XL for a new one as they can bloat and expand.

Despite being 4 Years older, it didn't only match the iPhone 13, but even put it to shame in many aspects.
If not for night time video, the iPhone is arguably the one behind here.
I was shocked how the iPhone was more over-saturated, blown out like a cheap phone, but at the very same time, managed to feel so flat.
Considering that the Pixel 3 still has unlimited Google Photos access (in "Storage Saver" mode), and has very powerful AI within the editing tools too, and for 200$ offers a full flagship experience except for the processor, it is a massive W for most people
In retrospective the price of the old Pixel 3 XL after 4 years is incredible comparing to the performance! Do you guys remember the original price ? Now 150 dollar? That's incredible

It doesnt get bigger. This is a replacement unit from Google. I didnt notice that until after few weeks of use. I didnt bother sending it back for another replacment.

Obviously Pixel 3. iPhone 8 does not have "night shot", Pixel 3 may also have a better video stabilization.

@@nagendravenkat5887 oh performance, hmmmm... I think it will be the same but a little edge on iPhone 8. It will also get iOS16 while Pixel 3 XL is now stuck on Android 12 unless you install custom ROM. For battery, you may find the Apple's battery replacement an easier way (but costly).

I have a pixel 3 and bother has a iphone 13. There was a full moon near sunset so it was not dark out. We both took photos and compared. On the pixel you could see the moons with the crators with the Iphone 13 all the moon features were gone, washed out.
The cars in the forground and signs cleaner too. Id have to say pixel 3 is a better camera over Iphone 13. Maybe the 14 is better. But now the Pixel 7 is out and should be better than the 3s camera.

@@GadgetRevNow I like the Pixel 7 Pro but not the size. My 3 is better than both in terms of handling. And not happy they lost the rear finger sensor. Im on the fence on changing to a pixel 7 pro. Some good things and some bad things. Really just might get a new battery for my 3 and see whats up next year.

The video is weird to me on the selfie camera. Like compared to the pixel, on the iPhone you look like a ghost. It’s so white. My iPhone 12 doesn’t do that. So idk.

I bought myself a Pixel 3XL from a chinese store for roughly 100$
I must say installing a 3rd party GCAM app(MWP 8.4)is better than these photos.
Pixel 3XL is still a bang for the buck camera phone but don't expect performance to be fast as newer android phones.
To be honest iPhone 13 overall best 3xl just good in low light and night photos also its not fair comparation 3xl is very old 😢

Well, the computational photography of Google makes the photos looks the same. The difference will be the video, coz it outputs what the sensor can only deliver. Videos will rely on the raw performance of the sensor.
