Because their balls are so big they must land the helos every 5 minutes to allow the RPMs to get back up
The real answer is training, this is what 75th rangers Delta Force and other SF units do in real airborne assault ops
Also publicity and recruiting. These vents increase their image and also get them new people to sign up. Plus as mentioned above it's an excellent training exercise as well
