Good Going Anthony. Try raking the sand instead of digging in one spot. Also look to another area as the crabs can feel you walking above them. Stay back from the waves, look for the V's in the sand and pull the rake towards you. You did a Great job and i so like your enthusiasm. Great Job. Gerry in Florida.

    Great idea and nice video!
Next time try to step closer to the water and you will be rewarded greatly.
I noticed that you always stayed at the very edge of the foam.
Your pants might get a little wet, but you can just roll them up and what you get is worth it.
I've been to many beaches in California, and regardless of the weather or tides, they always seem to hang out there.
If you really don't want to get wet, you can also just dig deeper into the sand and you may sometimes find big ones as well.
Another thing is some areas on the beach hold more sand crabs than others so if you haven't found much even after doing everything mentioned above, it's a good idea to try somewhere else.
    Hope this helps!

Like pelo projeto e criatividade.

Great tool, probably saved $30-$40 over a new one. But y’all should watch some YT videos on how to harvest sand fleas. The mesh is actually referred to as hardware cloth and you need 1/4” size. Try to find used, it’s very expensive. Keep up the good work!

You will catch more at night. Don't forget that they can see you and they feel your vibrations when u walk. You should be catching at least a dozen at a time. Also your loosing fleas because your rake teeth are way to long. So a easy fix is to cut a strip of mesh about two inches wide by the width of the rake and tie strap them on

The big ones are getting in between the tines of the rake. It seems most sand flea rakes have a flat edge. You might do better putting the mesh on the other side of the rake

Sorry for the misspelling, it was to be tines.
That way if you reversed it, you dont have the tines in the way, and it will be more like a store purchased scoop, look at it and let me know what you think.
Have a very good fishing day.
