Bassist Nikki Sixx wrote this song after the medics in an ambulance saved him during a heroin overdose. They gave two shots of adrenaline after being dead. The shots kickstarted his heart.
There is a lot of great songs from Motley Crue like "smokin in the boys room" "wild side" "Dr. Feelgood" "Girls Girls Girls" "Primal Scream" "Looks that kill" and "Same ole situation" There is also a Netflix movie about Motley Crue titled "The Dirt"
it was... this one song generated MILLIONS in speeding ticket money for cops world wide.. you couldnt, NOT slam on the gas when it came on.. it was a fckin bali hi..
When you said that you didn't think you'd heard it before, I was thinking, no you haven't because you'd remember. I was 19 when this was released and I STILL rock out to it at 53!!!
Fall 1989 - I was 19 - my second year of college. Although we are grandparents now, it was incredible to be a teenager in n the USA in the 80s! We had such a great time! Love the memories!
I use to put this on when I was drag racing. Always pumped me up for the 16 or so seconds, over a 1/4 mile. I had a VW bug & that thing use to bloody fly, for a 4 cylinder 1536cc air-cooled flat 4. I use to beat 6 & 8 cylinder car for about 1/2 track, then they'd catch up. You actually could hear me coming before you could even see me. People in the small town use to set their clocks by me starting the VW bug in the morning. It was this great song or Prodigy, Minefields.
so ironic that you used the terms "double shot" and "adrenaline" given the inspiration for the song is bassist and founding member Nikki Sixx getting two cardiac needles straight to the heart to deliver a massive shot of adrenaline in order to kick start his heart following one of his many heroine overdoses. I was 16 when this song was released and a massive (and still am) Motley Crue fan. I had just bought my first car, a 1971 Pontiac Firebird, and had a nice stereo system installed so I could enjoy the great music of the time. If I was driving it was not a very good time for this particular song to come on because if it did, almost without me realizing I was doing it, my foot automatically just sent the gas pedal straight down to the floor. All these years later and it is still one of my all time favorite songs and easily in the top 3 greatest Motley Crue songs. 🤘Motley F'ing Crue 🤘 Othe songs from the Crue: Wild side, Saints of Los Angeles, White Trash Circus, Mother F**ker of the Year, Primal Scream, Knock Em Dead Kid, Live Wire, Shout at the Devil...........
This is on one of my high adrenaline/cardio workout playlists. Pure energy, hard driving, kick you in the teeth 80's rock. "Thunderstruck" and "If You Want Blood" by AC/DC, "Nothin' But A Good Time" and "Fallen Angel" by Poison, and "Panama" by Van Halen are great starts. Slightly earlier 80's go with .... "White Wedding" or "Mony Mony" by Billy Idol or "I Hate Myself For Loving You" by Joan Jett
My knowledge about Motley Crue was so little that I thought the name was Motley Crude at first, totally not on my radar back in the day. And then one day I heard "Girls! Girls! Girls!"...holy moly, that was just WOW! The energy, the fun, I was hooked. If you want a recommendation, watch the video for that song which has an interesting back story. And the entire album of 'Doctor Feelgood' is great. My daughter & her dudettes played the cassette so much that it broke, had to get them another one.
As a life long Crue fan I feel bad for what I’m about to say: Motörhead Ace of Spades might take the title but my Motley Crue loves are a close second. (Maybe because I actually got a ticket to Ace of Spades😂)
❤ Loved your reaction to The Crue. Please check out wild Side or Don't Go Away Mad Just Go Away. Wild Side is my fav because I've a thing for drummers& Tommy Lee is a beast. Watch the video to see why I say that. PLEASE!!
😂😂😂 I got my first ever speeding ticket running 90 through a 55 back in the early 90’s in my 87’ Monte Carlo SS. 😂😂😂 I got LUCKY because I was WELL in those triple digits right before I got popped. 😂😂😂
Side note: These days I’m trucker with over 3 million miles under my ass and haven’t had a speeding ticket or any other kind of ticket since 2003. Do I still speed??? 😏😏😏 Let’s just say I got a LOT smarter with it. 😂😂😂 I figured I could change? Or learn adjust my where and when. 😂😂😂
Bruhh, so random. My dream car is a Hennessey Camaro Exorcist and this is the last year of the Camaro and so Hennessey just released the video for their final Camaro Exorcist over this song. I literally just listened to it like a few hours.
I’m a huge fan of all of their music. I can’t listen to this when I’m driving. I find myself speeding and weaving through traffic! 😆 I had to pay a pretty big speeding ticket thanks to this song. 😁
The second worst concert I ever went to was Motley Crue. Vince was so out of shape and winded that he couldn't carry a tune for more then a few second. All of their songs were out of beat, out of tune, and out of gas. If it weren't for Poison, the show would have been a total lost. The only concert I've been to worse then Motley Crue was Van Halen when David Lee Roth was so drunk he spent the first two songs singing on a mic he broke after falling down.

The 2 shots was straight to his heart
Seen a video of Tommy saying it was him helping Nikki in a bath tub reviving him. Ambulance was false.
He not only died twice. He also outlived his ex, and both of her exes good Lord.
I officially felt old the moment you said "I don't know if I've ever heard of them." 😂😂😂
Me too! Lol
@@Suzette4067 😂
Me too! I was 19 years old. My kids all have kids now, and the youngest is 26!
I know, that hurt my heart!!
@@RoGueNavy 😂
The guy driving the ambulance was Sam Kinison.
What a loss when he passed. 💔
Miss Sam a lot.

That seemed like a hell of a fun time in the 80s.

Dr. Feelgood is another great one from them.

Yes, we did have great times in the 80s.
Saw them open for OZZY on their first tour. Totally mind blowing.
I've seen them in concert 6 times 😂😂
Remeber walking into high school with this blaring from the intercom system. That'd get you hyped for the day. Fun times!
Definitely was!🤘
'The Dirt' on Netflix is a pretty underrated biopic of the band.
Anything Crue was played in the 80s. Check out wild side!
I think he should check out, Dr. Feelgood.

1987-1991 were my high school years...this was one of many great songs from that time period
Yep probably one of the better pervayers of 80's big hair rock, the intro gets me everytime
My suggestions would be Looks that Kill, Dr. Feelgood and Girls,Girls,Girls
Keep up the great reactions!!! ❤
I saw them in 2022. Amazing performance.
I went to the Dr Feelgood concert when the Crue came to Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, AZ- it was lit! Crazy, fun times
Great reaction 🎸))🤘
I love motley Crue I watched them in 1986
I recommend the movie about the band called the dirt. Just the story of the band and them living that rockstar life at 110%.
I reccommend to you because I have seen that you appreciate music& film.

If you haven't yet, go back to their beginning and check out their first album from 1981
I am 1000% sure that this song is responsible for more speeding tickets than any other song in existence.
As a life long Crue fan I feel bad for what I’m about to say: Motörhead Ace of Spades might take the title but my Motley Crue loves are a close second. (Maybe because I actually got a ticket to Ace of Spades😂)
Dwight’s go-to song in The Office! 🤣
try "girls, girls, girls" cuz you know, girls. and maybe "Dr.Feelgood" Both are Motley Crue favorites.

Vince Neal vox, Mick Mars guitars, Nikki Sixx bass, Tommy Lee drums. Yes the same Tommy Lee from the infamous "love" tape with Pam Anderson. 😉
Hi Kabir! They had a lot of good stuff. Maybe you've heard the song Girls Girls Girls, it got a lot of air play.
as previously stated they put on some fun concerts
I'm not sure how old you are but the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s were the friggin BEST!!!!!! FOR EVERYTHING!!!!
Saw them on this tour and previous Appetite for Destruction tour in the 80s. Great times.
You could check out Live Wire from their first album and Red hot from their second. Both are high energy like this one....great gym songs.😉
dokumentry
the dirt
is wild
React to Steelheart, "Never Let You Go". You'll be blown away by his vocal range!!
❤❤❤
They use too be a rummer that Nikki Six OD and the band members used booster cables too bring him back to life
❤❤❤❤❤❤
They were my favorite in the 80's! Had the hots for Nikki so bad!
Dr. Feelgood and Girls, Girls, Girls are some other great Motley Crue songs.
🔥🔥🔥

If this starts your engine, you should listen to Live Wire. I have a feeling you will love this band.
Never actually watch there music video but this song and nascar/drag goes great together just saying
They were so Big in the 80s
You should hear the world's fastest rock song. Dragonforce, Through and Flames. Its truly amazing and they're playing instruments at warp speed.
Oh hell yeah good suggestion!!
Welp! Gotta do Wild Side by the Crue next 😅

Listen to Wildside
You should watch girls girls girls by motley crue the video is hilarious
The Eighties.... If y'all weren't there, y'all don't know. I pity y'all who missed the party.
You need to listen to Dr. Feelgood. It's even wilder.
As i said b4. Such manly music from some female looking men
👩🌾👩🎤👮♀"Girls, Girls, Girls" - THE strip club song.💈
❤🔥If Kabir liked "Kickstart", there are no Crue songs he won't Love.❤🔥
I can think of one song I didn't like Mona I honestly think it was just a filler for the tape lol
@@edwardbranum "Nona"? Interesting backstory to that short song...
I’m a huge fan of all of their music. I can’t listen to this when I’m driving. I find myself speeding and weaving through traffic! 😆 I had to pay a pretty big speeding ticket thanks to this song. 😁
I feel old...
Forget the triple jock strap……..it won’t help!!!
New to me?😂😂😂 not me.
Wtf.. never heard this?? You went down a notch
You should do more song reactions instead of that other stuff. Music is way better than Karen videos
"Music washes the dust away from every day life"
Big 80s band. This song is probably older than you.
