    After watching some youtube videos about the Jets draft picks,I would seriously let the fans pick the next draft. If it was up to them, the Jets would have had Marino and Warren Sapp, among others.........

    The Jets are such a bad organization they have been jinxed. They cut Sanchez in favor of Geno Smith.There coaching staff is terrible the GM made a fool of himself last week. The year they had the #1 overall pick in 97 Peyton Manning was going to have a press conference most people thought he was going to for go his senior season to enter the draft and his press conference was him staying with Tenn

    The problem with Rich's impassioned speech is that Rex Ryan while a great defensive mind, has never made the jump to being a head coach. He's a DC that has never shown the slightest bit of interest in learning about offense or trying to help that side of the ball. All the previous drafts were defensive heavy when Ryan had that draft room clout. That all being said, Idzik should be fired.

    • @henrikavetisyan6695
      @henrikavetisyan6695 Před 9 lety +1

      Rex Ryan isn't a great defensive mind. You can bring up his track record and it still doesn't change anything. All the man has done is blitz and rely on excellent coverage by his secondary. It worked when he had guys like Ed Reed, Darrelle Revis, and Antonio Cromartie. But without a Pro-Bowler back there, he's nothing. His coverages most of the time are absolutely insane. Who in their right mind sticks to their base defense against a 3-WR set? Ryan did that multiple times in the Packers game and Jordy Nelson just demolished the secondary.
      As far as offense goes, you're wrong. Ryan's methodology to the draft has been correct. You don't draft a WR, RB, or TE in the 1st round. QB, O-line, or defense. As the Steelers, Packers, Ravens, Patriots, and Seahawks have shown, that's how you succeed as a franchise. The problem with their drafts has been their scouting department (lead by the incompetent Terry Bradway, who drafted a kicker in the 2nd round about a decade ago) drafting terrible players. Look at the 2012 draft alone. Stephen Hill over Alshon Jeffrey and Quinton Coples over Chandler Jones.

    • @FirestreakRodimusPr
      @FirestreakRodimusPr Před 9 lety +1

      I said Rex doesn't care about Offense and isn't a complete coach. That is correct. You're proving my point.

    • @jow43
      @jow43 Před 9 lety +1

      FirestreakRodimusPr So is Chip Kelly not a good coach because he doesn't do anything with the eagles defense? Chip Kelly came into the league because of his offensive mind not his defense.

    • @jow43
      @jow43 Před 9 lety +1

      FirestreakRodimusPr You think all head coaches are complete coaches?

    • @chrisgreen5289
      @chrisgreen5289 Před 9 lety +5

      Head coaches don't need to dictate both sides of the ball when it comes to their focus. That's what assistant coaches are for. OC DC STC WR coaches QB coaches etc. Rex is a great defensive mind so that's one side of the ball you don't have to worry about so much. He needs help with the offensive side of the ball. That falls in the hands of the GM and the OC. They have no QB therefore they can't be successful no matter who they have on the outside.
      And Henrik are you kidding? The Ravens defenses were great and yea you can say because of having Ed Reed and all that but come on now you still need to coach up the players and make sure they do their jobs regardless of talent level. There are plenty of talented players in the NFL who do dumb things over and over again on the field. And the jets defense now isn't bad even tho they have 0 talent on the back end. The reason they are an awful team is because they don't have anyone in two of the most important positions: QB and CB's. Even if Rex had some decent secondary players that defense would be great because of what he's able to do with his front 7. You can't deny Rex's defensive genius at all.

      the ravens and seahawks spend just as many of their 1st round picks on defense and make the playoffs...problem is tannebaum traded away some of mid round picks and our 2nd and 3rd rounders have been horrible guys like winters geno hill and ducasse to name a few

You dont here them talking like that towards the Browns (who havent ever been to a super bowl), the jaguars, lions. All im saying is talk shit about those teams in addition to the jets
