The response Zach gave was obviously not what you want to hear. Zach has very poor fundamentals when throwing the ball but it can be corrected. Kurt Warner's breakdown of his throws in that last game show examples of his errors but it also shows poorly schemed play design to help a quarterback being rushed. There are so many issues and Kurt really shows it without the overreaction.

I feel so involved with Rich’s process it’s like being a transient Jets fan. Always a Fin but I want Rich to be happy so good luck with Zak.
I was about "letting him grow, while we take our lumps" until we all realized this team was better then expected. Sloppy fundamentals, now it's a question about his ability to read defenses. Now his accountability/leadership is in question.... in THIS media market. Its time to live up to his "promise".
For some reason switching qbs seems only to work when the starting qb gets hurt and the backup comes in ; a lot of teams have this same predicament .

The Bears made Daniel Jones look like Mike Vick - and that was WITH Quinn and Roquan Smith. THEY HAVE NO DEFENSE. If you want Zach to have a get right game then start him against the Bears.

That is problem with hiring a defensive minded HC. Unless you hire an adequate OC, you can never win. Last weeks game the case in point.
With an offensive minded HC, you can outscore your opponent. Even hiring an adequate DC does wonders.
Two teams that have turned it around are Giants with Dabol and Dolphins with Mc Daniel. Even the Dolphins went nowhere with Flores and his top Defensive & takeaway team.
In order to win SB, you must have a good OC / DC partner. Such as the Bucs with Arians and Bowles. Now even Bucs are struggling with only Bowles.
So all media is talking: Arm, Foot, Brain…it is a „Team“ Sport…and a Battle Ship!

Realistically though as a coach, how are you suppose to handle this properly, you cant call Wilson out in front of the team cause he will crumble and if you speak to him behind closed doors there in no guarantee the team is still behind him, Wilson really just fucked the season quite frankly. Really the only reason I thought Fields was head and shoulders above Wilson when they were coming out was because of stuff like this, regardless of play Fields seemed like someone you'd want to lead a team

I get wanting you quarterback to take responsibility but I think the media could have just as easily turned it around and had he said yes claim he's not con for them even he doesn't believe in himself blah blah blah. I had a feeling that Wilson was drafted too high at #2 overall. He had one good year at BYU. Needed more time to prove himself. He should have sat a year behind a veteran, but there's too much of a rush these days for QBs to play right away.
I doubt Zach Wilson has faced much adversity in life. He's probably never been held accountable for bad play and has only ever been told how great he is

I went to BYU late 70s. I think NFL teams should be very circumspect when drafting BYU talent. Sure there have been some great players from BYU in the pros. But more often than not, especially the QBs, they turn out to be not as good as advertised. For one thing, the level of talent BYU played against leaves a lot to be desired. Next year they go to the Big 12 conference. That will tell you how good the talent is. As for Zach, frankly I had my doubts. Young Mormon kid in the big city full of temptations. He's no Broadway Joe.

The problem with benching Wilson is that means Flacco has to start then, and he's not that much better than Wilson.
Jets need to give Wilson more time. He will come around. Consider his courage: it takes a huge set of brass balls to call his teammates when they don't play up to his expectations. He's the second coming, the true Son of Gase.
This has more to do with winning the division. If the Jets were sub 500, Zach would play no questions.

I"m assuming you've been alive for about 20 years or so, because you couldn't be more wrong. Back in the 80's and 90's the Jets' offense was always better than the defense. Yes we had the NY Sack Exchange, but even then the offense was better than the defense. When Vinny Testeverde took us to the AFC Championship game against John Elway and Denver the offense was much better than the defense. Learn your team history.

Allen didn't hurt his arm until just under two minutes left in the Jets game. They beat Rodgers in Lambeau, and the Broncos without Russ, are only slightly less effective than the Broncos with Russ.
Jets have been playing with an elevated make-shift practice squad O-line all year! Lost Breece Hall (Leader for rookie of the year!) for the year! Lost 4 Offensive tackles, including Mekai Beckton and AVT, who is considered a pro bowl tackle! Haven't had their go to receiver, Corey Davis the last 4 games, but they've had easy matchups, according to you! BTW: Josh Allen was fully healthy until under 2 minutes against the Jets, my guy!
