I have debated within myself about sharing… here goes. My hubby and I have been together 40 years. I fight against serious bouts of depression and at times anxiety when I feel pressured or overwhelmed… the depths can be like shadows masked by a warm smile and humor. At times I have some close to losing myself to such depths. My guy has the patience of the saints and has been my grounding factor. I wanted to share with you how inspiring I find you both and how I understand the need to step back and find a place of centeredness and calm. Being in the public eye is never easy and it doesn’t come with a ‘how to manual,’ as someone once remind me. Keep being you and sharing XXOO I don’t know if you realize how much you have touched other folks out there… so never doubt that your journey doesn’t have purpose - it does. It takes courage to share, as you have, within a public forum. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, for being a voice of courage. You both shine a light within a world that needs such joy. THANK YOU. And please rethink your table top book, publish on demand, and $50.00 to $100.00 for a lifestyle book of your photos… well affordable - shop around and find someone who will publish it for you. The universe will find a path. ENJOY your new home and adventurers.
Thank you for opening so much of your lives to us viewers. The odd creeper or two is definitely a down side to it all, but I think most of us would be happy to just lift a pint in your direction and voice a happy “cheers!” if we were to run into you at the pub.
I’m so happy you both are loving Scotland so much, trust me there is so many adventures for you both to enjoy. I’m loving the idea of Silver Fox Farm Honey 👌🏻 You are definitely making me want to move back to the homeland 🤗🏴🤗
I can’t believe some people. Just walking onto the boat. I understand what your saying about mental health, the triggers just change. Thank you for the video thank you for sharing your journey with us. I’m not very well and you’ll never know how much your videos mean to me.
Thanks for sharing! It made me sad to hear about the rude people on the canal, but I'm glad you are in a place now without that hassle. And I continue to be immensely cheered up by your vlogs and am glad to support it.
Maybe an alternative to a whole photobook would be having a "gallery" of your best pictures (watermarked of course!) which we could order prints from. Paid for when ordered? 😁 💙
There is such a website in the description of every video I think. You can choose your favorite ones and pay to get high-definition copies for downloading.
Create a digital photo Book then ppl can choose ... download to email list ..they then have the opportunity for print out thus saving..flaffing about time and cost. Post on Amazon etc..xxx 10 sec thought...
Shaun, you are so adorable. As a former chef I would like to suggest a few things if you'd like to share recipes. As you're testing, keep a notebook handy to make notes as you revise your recipe, this will help you perfect the final piece. Write the recipe ingradients in the order they are added, this will help with the corresponding steps in the recipe. Add all ingredients, I hate when recipes leave out water or salt and pepper but mention then in passing. Your passion for food will shine through and I cannot wait to see your recipes on this vlog!
Lovely to see you both looking so happy and relaxed. Looking forward to following along on all your new endeavors and hoping all goes well and is everything you are wanting and hoping it to be. You are certainly in a gorgeous place for it. 💜
Parkin brought back memories of school lunches in the 60s. I've lived I Australia for the last 50 years but fondly remember my early life in Ramsbottom Lancashire and Parkin and Pink Custard for school lunch. Mmmmm.
Hey, thanks for the Q&A. As far as photo books go you can make them Print on Demand if that was something you really wanted to do. Then you don't have to worry about lots of money up front and the company handles all the shipping and handling. Best of luck as you continue setting up the farm.
You had me all in a dither (it's not friday) and there you were on a Tuesday but a welcome sight nonetheless full of innuendos as usual. Elbows in there before I could get the camera, just had me in fits of laughter. Good luck on to both on the next chapter of the wonderful thing called life xx 😘 ❤️
Ahh, Scottish pies! We moved to Aberdeenshire from Northampton 20 years ago, and I can honestly say the pies up here are the best in the world! None of that gristle and beak pies you get down south!! Have you tried them from a chipper yet? They DEEP FRY them too!!! 😋 Great Q&A guys, thank you!
You two are GREAT and have helped us with your earlier vlogs, as we refit our narrowboat. We also have a smallholding so have lots in common, find you both very interesting and make us laugh with your antics. Please produce a "signed" recipe book, Shaun, i would love to purchase one. PS. We had afternoon tea at St Mary's Marina this afternoon. Whoop whoop! Can u remember where that is? xx 💕🐾
Q&A's are always interesting. Looking forward to whatever the coming year brings for you guys. Thankyou for taking the time to make and publish the vlogs. Cheers.
You guys make me smile. Here is the reason why. I am in a lot of pain from arthritis and sciatica. I would rather watch your videos than take a pain killer. Anyway enough of me. Question. When are we going to see your animals? I love you both. Take care.
Take care, guys. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. I love watching your story coming along. My own story is very hard right now, so it’s great to have some else’s progress to enjoy. I lost a wonderful job when the person in charge changed and the new head insisted on shoving out many of the old people. Shoved me out on my sixtieth birthday! So now I’ve spent eight months looking for the next position and watching my savings vanish. I would far rather watch you build chicken coops than write yet another cover letter!
OMG, I love pies too! When I visit home, Standish, Greater Manchester, there is an amazing pie shop within walking distance :( though it sounds like you're actually making your own pies here. Love your new lifestyle.
On the question of raising your own meat, I am totally with you. I am well aware of where the meat that I consume comes from and how it is processed. I love a good roast, or steak, sausages, bacon, and chook. I also love all animals. A lad down the road raised a steer and entered it in the County Fair. I used to go for walkies with my dogs and we'd pass the pasture that steer was in and he'd come to the fence and we'd have a friendly chat. That fine bovine friend won Grand Prize at the fair. The next week in the local grocery store there was a sign displayed at the meat counter announcing that the meat from that Grand Prize steer was on sale. I was heart broken. No beef for me that week, I bought pork and chicken that week. I couldn't raise animals for food. I'd fall in love with them and turn vegetarian. I'm a big softy. It's much easier not knowing the name of the beast that sits on my plate! Nothing beats a lovely meat pie!
Very enjoyable, thanks. Loved all the canal videos, history, scenary and honest content. Continuing watching this new and exciting venture and we are very much looking forward to whatever you wish to share. Please guard your privacy too as we dont own you and must not make demands. Seems like you have a great family of followers who care very much for you and your well being. You deserve this accelade so carry on loving and being loved. Scotland is beautiful.....All the best Cath and Keith. 👋
As a beekeeper myself I can’t wait to see your beekeeping adventures. I keep my bees on the edge of a city and have two apiaries a few km apart: it is amazing how different the honey tastes from each site. Honey cake is amazing btw
Ah - my Friday afternoon lift. I need it as Spring will be a little late this year in Collingwood, Ontario. It keeps snowing, and if it isn't snowing it's blowing, freezing rain, or just rain. Good to see your smiling faces. Stay well and stay safe guys. John, Ontario, Canada
Coffee Table Book - I tried to sell a few of my coffee tables books at two used book stores in San Francisco, California & was told that people no long want them. The culture has changed here.
I think its fantastic changing location and do what you want to do.....good on you .....love watching you two,,,,,have followed you for ages.......and bloody love watching you in Scotland........stay safe guys love from me.....down in Kent......xxxxx
Colin and Shaun, glad your ok, there is nothing like a wobble, every now and again, it's part of who you are, it's what you do and try and reduce the trigger but you know that. This new life, on land, it suits you both, I think, but I'm only 'spying' on you via these vlogs, so hopefully you are far enough out in the highlands that you don't get discovered where you are, I was saddened to hear how people thought it was ok to just walk into your home, and expect to be welcomed, I look forward to discovering Scotland with you, I disassembled the history and information you always filled your vlog s with, so I await your travels on land. Stay safe and well fellas and I await your weekly log on. From me to you x
I would very much appreciate your teaching vlogs re: raising bees, raising goats, sheep, chickens. All your first hand experiences bringing in the animals and getting to know them. Has always been my 'dream' to have a lil' farm... I could live vicariously through you...
getting intimate with foxes .. has to be illegal surely 😮 your totally right about Southport in Lancashire the sea vanishes we drove for 5 min to get to sea once. .. but we got in trouble cos cars can sink in wrong place. .. car was crap anyway. old vauxhaul viva with a dodgy choke 😅
Hey up you two. I was really looking forward to future trips out, the building up of stock and now were going to get cooking with Shaun, feeling spoilt already. Loving the new adventures. Lots of love sent.
I would buy one of the books, I Think they would sell well to people like me who would never be able to see the places you have gone other than with a photo book . Thank you for this I enjoyed it. I look forward to the next one. Take care.
I enjoyed that vlog. You both were delightfully relaxed (if you want some feedback…☺️)and the question and answer session was fun and informative. Looking forward to some more information about your “radio station” as it develops. 🌹
For some time now I have enjoyed the travels with you along the canals and I thank you for that, now I hope that you will both be very happy in a home on shore. I do hope that people will learn to respect your privacy, being famous or too well known was always a fear of mine, now as an old guy of 87 years I enjoy keeping a low profile and just enjoying my friends who are now few and far between, of course I will always give you a thumbs up and wish you both well, keep enjoying life as you find it. willbur.
You associate good and bad memories with the place where you live. If you have serious ones or too many bad ones, you have to move to get rid of them and be more relaxed again. Silverfox was recognisable and people were able to come to you if you want it or not. And it wasn't just one or two neighbours that you ask to please don't come over uninvited. It was a new challenge with new people everywhere you moored. I think it wasn't unbearable, but you want to create your live around yourself (Colin Shaun Otis) and not inevitably around other people. Of course you take yourselves with you, including all the personal quirks. But now *you* decide, when and who to meet. I'm happy for you that you found your private little universe for now. 😊
First of all I love the comment about loved and comfortable for the animals. That's always how I felt about it I couldn't eat anything that had a name and was in my care. As far as the photo book goes I think you might want to look into Amazon shipping for you. A photographer friend that lives near me on the beach here he has a coffee table book but it's a small one cost about $18 and I think he sold quite a few I know I have two of them. Maybe something to think about. Your photos are incredible
You take absolutely wonderful photos. Could you use a company like Picfair (other similar companies too of course) who would print your photos to order? This would be easier for you & much more affordable than a coffee table book ❤
I follow vlogger Cecilia Blomdahl, and that's one of the ways she earns income. You can buy prints of her photos individually in various sizes and orientations.
Listening to you tell us about people getting on the boat uninvited, I must say that some people take really weird parasocial liberties. It's sometimes important to take a step back and think twice before you act.
I reckon you made a good decision. Not being on the move all the time you can now create and mould your own little environment. I hope your new place has a bath. My bungalow just has a shower, and boy, do I miss a bath.
Great to see you living well in Scotland! Here's my tuppenceworth tip for interesting places: the Scoraig Peninsula near Ullapool, home to many interesting people...
Sean did you see in the news today that the RN had won a Tri-Service cookery contest with the famous World famous: Fromagey, Jambony, Oeufy, on a bed of pan grillé with a spicy tomato jus. Good to see you homesteading, very best of luck. Regards from Solent Coast. AJ
I love the in-depth Q&A sessions! Your mental health is a bear you must deal with, Colin, on a daily basis. Just know there are many of us wishing you great strength and serenity and all of the tools needed to live with it. Sean, how about baking pasties? Too long ago I made my first, and only, foray into England and learned about pasties. I love them! Have you two thought of opening a B&B?
Thanks Guys. That was a Tuesday surprise. I did'nt know that the public had gotten so intrusive. I hope you do some canal vacations in Ireland and Europe at some stage . I know with your role having animals to care for you will be concentraiting on that but think about it .Plus and Anthology of your content would make a great C.D gift. I know we can freely watch it on line but coming from you under copyright might be a source of income for you . You have a great Archive which continues to grow.. Pies .Oh Pies . Thanks for the treat.
I had a caravan on the West coast, Castle Sween in Scotland...absolutely stunning...very old castle there but currently needing some restoration work...I was able to take my paddle board with dog on all the way to the land mass on the other side...I suppose this is I understand why you both love bonny Scotland..
Hi guys Great chat this week. Totally agree with you both about moving. Especially as people were invading your privacy. No one needs that in their lives. Glad you made the right decision to change your lifestyles. Have a good week Love Kim x
Mental health is somewhat like my allergies, some I know will expose me so I can take over the counter drugs to help reduce reactions, some I have screened out as much as possible and some jump up and grab me and have me hoping I have rescue drugs very close at hand. But they will never go away, I will not ‘get over’ them. It’s just part of my life and who I am.
I have debated within myself about sharing… here goes. My hubby and I have been together 40 years. From rude people to wild fires. Good to see your sense of humor is intact! Enlightening video, thanks!
I’m so happy you both are loving Scotland so much, trust me there is so many adventures for you both to enjoy. I’m loving the idea of Silver Fox Farm Honey 👌🏻 You are definitely making me want to move back to the homeland 🤗🏴🤗
Best wishes for every happiness in your new home. I don’t care where you boys live. You’re fun.
That was a lovely chat and catch-up. You both are such enterprising guys . Thank you for the 'normal'. In a crazy world. Blessings ❤️🙏✌️
Love it “your in a new Country “ 🏴🏴🏴🏴
I can’t believe some people. Just walking onto the boat. I understand what your saying about mental health, the triggers just change. Thank you for the video thank you for sharing your journey with us. I’m not very well and you’ll never know how much your videos mean to me.

You two are precious souls! Thanks for sharing your life with us! Love ya from the States.
Maybe an alternative to a whole photobook would be having a "gallery" of your best pictures (watermarked of course!) which we could order prints from. Paid for when ordered? 😁 💙
I was going to suggest the same. Do limited runs on pictures, possibly doing framed and unframed options as some artists/photographers do.
There is such a website in the description of every video I think. You can choose your favorite ones and pay to get high-definition copies for downloading.
Great thought.

History and sightseeing in Scotland sounds wonderful! Thank you both! Very much looking forward to it!
I can't believe someone had the cheek to just walk into Silver Fox uninvited. Some people!
That’s so scary someone just walking in like that 😳
Plenty of times 😬
@@FoxesAfloat At least you no longer have the worry of that happening at Silver Fox Farm, that would have scared the heck out of me 🤗
Parkin brought back memories of school lunches in the 60s. I've lived I Australia for the last 50 years but fondly remember my early life in Ramsbottom Lancashire and Parkin and Pink Custard for school lunch. Mmmmm.

So calming listening to you two. Before I go to work.
You could call your honey ‘Bees Afloat’ good luck with everything.
Thank you for the vlog - lovely to see you looking so happy. Love to you all 💕
Thanks for being you! Delightful as usual.
So happy the animals will just be pets. :) The chickens are beautiful… (your vegan fan). Hugs!
Thanks guys it's great to see that you three are doing well and I can't wait to watch your next adventures. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Totally Awesome, thank you for sharing! Look forward to your vLog every week.

Love to see your chats! Thanks for making me smile 😊
I have used some screen shots from your drone as a screensaver on my Mac. Really beautiful. Thank you.
Can u remember where that is?
xx 💕🐾
Great to hear from you both.
Q&A's are always interesting. Looking forward to whatever the coming year brings for you guys.
Thankyou for taking the time to make and publish the vlogs. Cheers.
I always enjoy your vlogs guys....your positive energy is a delight to engage with!
❤😂 great to watch you two again, have to report NO nasty pimples to be seen. see you soon. 💕🐾xxx
Again I love your history lessons. I like the idea of putting your pictures online. Thanks for updates
another good vlog.
looking forward to see the adventures you two go on
You guys make me smile. Here is the reason why. I am in a lot of pain from arthritis and sciatica. I would rather watch your videos than take a pain killer. Anyway enough of me. Question. When are we going to see your animals? I love you both. Take care.
Very interesting as usual. I wish you well with everthing you are now doing and look forward to future VLOGS. Keep well and safe James.
Sorry to hear that, Ann ❤️
Awesome chaps, bright new life approaching, can’t wait to see every bit
That was great! Thanks for sharing what's going on at the C & S Ranch.
OMG, I love pies too! When I visit home, Standish, Greater Manchester, there is an amazing pie shop within walking distance :( though it sounds like you're actually making your own pies here. Love your new lifestyle.
So delightful to see and hear you again guys.❤️👍🏻
Thanks for the video…going to be exciting seeing new places and their history…stay safe and take care !!
Oh my goodness! You two could not possibly be more adorable! You are both good souls!
Great to see you, sounds like you are having lots of fun in Scotland
I might see you on that beach in a few weeks
Very enjoyable, thanks. Loved all the canal videos, history, scenary and honest content. Ah - my Friday afternoon lift. I need it as Spring will be a little late this year in Collingwood, Ontario. It keeps snowing, and if it isn't snowing it's blowing, freezing rain, or just rain. Good to see your smiling faces. Stay well and stay safe guys.

Good honest answers, looking forward to the chucks!
Love the photo book idea! Genius!
Photo books... great idea. Can be expensive but You don't buy it every day and it is a perfect gift for an anniversary or some specific event!
I think both of you are just great. When I watch your videos, even if it's about a terrible subject, like the fire, I smile.
Colin and Shaun, glad your ok, there is nothing like a wobble, every now and again, it's part of who you are, it's what you do and try and reduce the trigger but you know that. Great vlog boys and your getting two more queens sorry couldn’t resist ❤️❤️😂😂🌹😂❤️😂😂🌹

I really look forward to future travel and site seeing videos from you two. I like to watch homesteading videos too.
We have just had a week in Scotland, can understand why you want to stay. Its your life to live and it looks like you both are loving it xxx
Take care.
Hello love having a catchup with you, keep safe and well. Best wishes from the North Norfolk coast UK

Enjoyed this.
Yes, thought many times about a B&B.
Good, solid video. Thank You.
Love you both! 😘
I bet Otis is getting to have a lot of fun running around and not sitting on the boat
Loved watching this again! Had to look up, what Parkin is - looks yummy!
Thanks you guys
Hi guys
Great chat this week.
Totally agree with you both about moving. Especially as people were invading your privacy. No one needs that in their lives. Glad you made the right decision to change your lifestyles.
Have a good week
Love Kim x
In life there often comes a fork in the road. One prefers to go right while others go off to the left. Good luck guys as you go on down the road.
