- Hey guys I finally wore my 3D printed Robocop Suit to Big Texas Comic Con 2022 for Halloween weekend. For years now I've chickened out because I was scared to damage my suit but hey no risk no reward right? Well the risk definitely paid off! Here is a video showing me walking around at Big Texas Comic Con in San Antonio! My dream finally came true!
Robocop theme song by Basil Poledouris in Concert
DUDE! That is fucking BEAUTIFUL! It looks like its the SAME suit from the Movie! You even nailed the walk AND the sound effects are a HUGE Bonus! I hope the film directors of the orginal trilogy see this
Haha I'm happy you enjoyed it! I appreciate your comment!
The gun was missing though. That would’ve been the cherry on the top.
@@KrunchTastic glad I'm not the only one who was like "dude take the socks out of your pants you aren't fooling anyone"
What did your friend wear to the Comic-Con. The one that helps you put the suit on
@@ChrisBoshProps You are awesome, keeping an old 80s icon alive.
I'm 34 years old but as a 90s kid, if i see a guy wearing a full Robocop suit, i would be totally in awe.
Thanks for the comment!
It's crazy how many people didn't notice or looked at it like it was just a normal thing, I would have literally pooped myself in excitement 🤣
true,im 36 i would have biggest smile if i saw it :)
Yeah tell me about it I’m 33 and super jealous I want one 😂
Dweeb!
Best looking version of the original suit since the 90s, hands down. You knocked it out of the park.
Thank you sir! I tried really hard to make the suit look like it came out of the movie..I'm you were able to confirm the hard work paid off! I appreciate the comment sir.
@@ChrisBoshProps you definitely did just that it's exactly perfect I suppose Ed 209 in the making next 😃🤓😂🤣👍
@@NeoMoonSevin LOL That would be a fun one to walk in for sure 😁
I've made a better one.
@@satlynutz I'd love to see it! I mean that in a good way. I just love seeing Robo builds.
Any man who was a kid in the 90's has a special place in his heart for Robocop. I can't imagine the thrill you got every time you made somebody lose their mind!
80s as well
So true 👍🏼
I’m with ya there. Working on my suit now. Come back next year, if I’m lucky
Walking by while people are talking to you just suites the character better. They probably walked away feeling like they met the real robocop for a moment.
Props to your wife for being such an awesome supportive part of this
She is really awesome, I couldn't do it without her.
As an avid Robocop fan I have to say this costume is incredible, great job.
Thanks Adam I greatly appreciate that.
You took that whole Con to the next level. I’m sure you made a lot of people happy that day.
Thank you!
For a moment, I really was expecting a mechanized device to open on your right leg and you taking the gun out or a data connector spike extending from your right hand, considering how amazing, detailed and accurate your suit is. Calling it an incredible work is an understatement. The OG Robocop was one of my favourite movies back in the day (class of '79 here) and I really lost count of how many times I've watched it in VHS, back in the day. Due to the quality and the sentimental value, maybe the greatest cosplay I've ever seen. Kudos to you, sir.
I'm glad that you can see the detail it did take a lot of work it is one of my favorite movies and costumes and to make it come alive was a dream come true. I'm glad that you enjoyed watching. Thank you for the great comment and support
I actually felt a chill go down my spine when the ROBOCOP music played!!!!
Thank you Chris and Mrs. Chris for all your hard work!!!
Thank you for the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Same!,grew up on this!
same, brought back memories of this great movie haha
I'm 44 and I squealed like a gopher finding a bag of grain: "Alex Murphy!" when I saw this work of art straight out of my childhood! OMG, sweet memories flowing like a mountain river, thank you for this, Chris!
Your comment made me laugh thank you haha
This is truly awesome Chris! Robocop was my childhood hero and you knocked it out of the park with this one. The suit is 99.9% even your face and your move matches it. Super great job!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for watching
This brought a tear of joy to me. Im 37 now and i have seen robocop about 100 times. I grew up with him and i can not express how much I love the franchise. (1st movie is the best by far). That being said, im soo happy to see how close this is to the source. Even your facial structure fits the part. Best costume i have ever seen. Btw, robocop theme always gives me chills
Thank you for the comment!
As a robocop fan, I am saddened when they changed the costume and didn't hire an actor with similar voice and demeanor with the original.
Thing is, robocop is not just the suit, it's the man within the suit.
@@ChrisBoshProps you are welcome my friend
@@Kopie0830 absolutely agree with you!
When real fans take the art of props and suits making to the next level! Brilliant proportions, i can sense the sweat and tears went into making this suit, kudos Chris, great job!
Thank you for the awesome comment. Comments like this make the all the hard work worth it.
Maaann I NEVER saw a cosplay like that!! You definitely ROCK!👏👏👏 Also you walked in the same way making the noises and talking to everyone! Well done!
Thank you so much!
This Comic-Con was not ready for this kind of awesomeness
Thank you for the comment!
Seriously. This suit and the Keaton Batmobile are basically my lifelong dream possessions that I will never have fulfilled and have yet to outgrow mentally.
Same thoughts. Very weak reaction... If I was on people place, I would have reacted much more insanely!
Completely agree with munsterbox!
40 years old here and as a kid who grew up with Robocop on vhs I am actually amazed of your work. Great suit, great memories, the music, the scenes, its actually Robocop. GJ man!
Thank you! I'm 40 as well.
40 here also… I’d be freaking out and smiling like I just won the lottery.
Also 40 here, Robocop was my first VHS tape ever that came with the first VCR my dad bought.
Vhs at 40? DVDs existed in 1996, bro
@@Immortal_Liberty yeah, and he was around 14 years old in 1996. He grew up with VHS. They were still in use for many years after 1996 too, its not like one day DVD came out and everything switched instantly.
Wow, I can't imagine the amount of work that went into this Robocop outfit. Man, that is beautiful. I would have been fan girling if I was there
I’m crying when you’re walking with the music, it brings me back to 80’s where all the cool sci-fi movies all around. What colourful days!
Thanks for the comment!
@@ChrisBoshProps you’re welcome man!
Awesome suit. I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR! HAHA! 😁
Thanks!
You know you have a great suit when the cleaner stops to take a pic of you 🤣
I laughed at that as well! I thought to myself surely she wasn't a cosplay janitor?
@@ChrisBoshProps she would of seen everything and been used to it but for her to actually stop and take a pic, I thought wow that’s impressive.
@@ChrisBoshProps Her costume was 100% film accurate 🤣🤣.
Very realistic look and movements. You can tell how much effort and spirit is in that suit, bravo bravo 👏
Thank you very much!
Thank you for sharing the fruits of your labor, as well as the joy it brought you and other, with us. The suit looks AMAZING.
Thank you so much! Its my pleasure sir!
This suit looks even better than Robocop 3 suit and Tv show Robocop. Brilliant! Perfect proportions. Armor color is spot on! etc. So well done. It's beautiful! This is the best cosplay Robocop suit ever made. I wish to be there to witness this masterpiece in person.
Thanks so much man for the comment! I appreciate it very much.
Imagine meeting the original actor who played Robocop while wearing that suit. He'd have understood what you were going through because he had nearly the same problems, I'm sure.
Absolutely. It was a painfully miserable amazing time wearing the suit if that makes sense!
One of my personal favourite Movies of all time, and you pulled off the cosplay nicely. Honestly, meeting someone dressed like Robocop like this would do my day. Even though you were tired and in pain, you just kept on moving and willing to let others take pictures with you. That there takes some serious determination and a kind heart man, nice one.
Thank you for the kind comment and taking time to notice the effort!
The feeling for bring that amount of smiles on people must be really nice.
It was an amazing time.
Incredible! Great Robo Cop Costume! It's hard to imagine how happy you feel every time you wear this costume. Becoming the hero of your childhood is truly a real miracle, and you yourself have fulfilled your dream! What pleases me most is to see that your wife is participating in your hobby. Doing this hobby together is great. I wish you both happiness and health. Let love and passion for your hobby never leave you! Let the whole world see your beautiful costume, and your beautiful partner!
You said it perfectly...wearing the suit and being able to enjoy the fruits of my labor brings such great joy even through the pain of wearing it. I couldn't have done any of this without my wife she really is my rock and hard place. I don't think I'd want or even enjoy doing any of this without her. I sincerely appreciate your comment.
Impressive. As a child (41 now) I was a certified Robo Cop fanatic, I must say that this is a very accurate remake. It's not "on screen" so we'll let a few of the small details slide. I'm sure you have a true understanding and appreciation of why Weller dreaded wearing it for hours on end.
Thanks for the comment. In spite of the pain it was amazing to wear and a dream come to life.
@@ChrisBoshProps no doubt, I too would love to try it out. How, may I ask, did you draw and dimension everything for it to print out to scale? Did you scan an existing suit?
@@jessemurray1757 Yes, also, Weller was very thin (which is what helped him get the role) so he could fit the suit. I don't know how Chris manages to have a good build on him and still fit into a suit that isn't comically out of proportion (like all the others I have seen).
I am 42 years old, and I believe that if I had seen this when I was 10, I would have cried with excitement. Congratulations on the job so well done!
*I would cry my eyes off if I saw you in person wearing that. You made my childhood awesome*
Thanks for watching Ivan! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
7:12 I could tell the kid in the Master Chief outfit was completely taken back by this suit, amazing work man. This is one of the greatest costumes I've ever seen anyone make.
Thank you for the awesome commemt! I sincerely appreciate it.
Fantastic costume, great video and fantastic pictures. Awesome work ;)
Thank you man! That's very kind of you...it was so much fun.
I think if there were some 80s kids in that event would greatly appreciate you as robocop. Watching this right now brings back memories. How much more if we could see this in person. Thanks for sharing. You just brighten my day.
Couldn't agree more!
Great job. Amazing work. And your poses were great as well. Congrats on creating sometihng wonderful.
Dude not only that it was a awesome suite, you stayed in character even when you were getting warn out. The best part, you had fun doing it.
I really tried! It was one of the best experiences I've had in life. I appreciate you watching sir!
Still amazing. I don't think a Robocop suit will ever be boring to look at. Glad you got to finally wear this suit to the con.
There are hardly any RoboCop cosplays out there but when one shows up to a con, they steal the show.
Yeah it definitely stole the show! I wish I could have walked as well as you do haha. You definitely don't see a lot of Robos out there that just makes it better for us. It was a lot of fun and a great time.
For sure you were the best out there great job! One of my favorite movies Robocop..thanks for sharing!👏👏👍
You going past ignoring them is what Murphy was all about well played my man !!!
Easily the best suit since the original film. The sounds are unreal! Excellent job!
Thank you I appreciate that!
I know all these comments are saying how awesome that suit is, and I'll say it as well: that suit is freakin' awesome! It's like you used the original suit they used for the movies. Great job! 😎
Thank you so much!
Wow! That suit looks great… coming from someone who worked on Robo Cop 3. I shipped 4-5 complete outfits for the movie.
I should mention, the real outfit has an electrical outlet at the back of his neck. Rob Botin had pointed it out to me and said that since he was part human he’ll need to plug in an electric shaver to shave. Funny.
Wow it's amazing that you worked on the Robocop 3 and that you can appreciate what I was trying to do. I'm glad that you thought the suit looks great. A lot of hard work and almost a year in a half dedication is in this suit. So your comment really validates everything . Thanks again for the heads up on the electric outlet I might consider it haha. Any idea why rob bottine doesn't speak publicly about the work that he's done over the years. I'm curious to know why any information would be appreciated. Thanks again😁
Makes you realise how good a job Weller & Rob Bottin did all those years ago .This looks great, well done.
Thank you! I'd love to meet Rob Bottin and show him the suit, I think even more so then meeting Weller. It would be awesome to pick his brain.
That brings a lots of souvenirs, thanks Chris!
The suit is incredibly impressive, but the airbrushing is next level! Amazing work . 👍
Thank you I appreciate that. I was tedious on the airbrushing!
@@ChrisBoshProps were you not allowed to have the gun and holster?
@@CoolHandC I chose not to bring the gun because it's kind of hard to hold it with the rubber gloves. I'd probably be fine walking with the gun for a half hour or so but not 3 hours. So I decided to go the patrol route as if Robocops gun was still holstered.
Many people have said it, but your suit is incredible. Very very well done! I couldn't help thinking "there's a reason Peter Weller only wore the top-half when he had to walk around and wasn't seen from the waist down. lol
Thank you! Yeah you could probably tell why most of the actual scenes were only filmed from the waist up by the way I walked in it Haha.
Great work, thanks for sharing!
The OG!!!!!! Nostalgia floods in my brain.
I wore my 3d printed Stormtrooper costume Saturday night at an event. I wore it for around 4 hours, and I can totally relate to all of the "pinch" points mainly behind my knee where the thigh and calf pieces touched when I walked. Like you, I couldn't wait to get out of it. LOL!
Yeah the best way I could describe it is that it was a miserably great time! Glad we can relate....4 hours is a long time!
@@ChrisBoshProps So now that Halloween is over, do you have any ideas of what your next project will be?
@@rmsamonte Right now I plan on building a second Robocop suit to wear for Orlando Megacon and hoping to build a MK3 Iron Man by next Halloween! Big goals hopefully I can meet them. Thanks again for the comment.
arent you a little short for a Stormtrooper?
Getting your leg pinched between two pieces of plastic every time you walk sounds incredibly uncomfortable, maybe that's why Stormtroopers were all such lousy shots.
had to stop the video at 2:41 just to say how phenomenally awesome the suite is, you and your wife make a great robo and louis and you are by far the clostest cosplayer I've seen to Peter Weller you just nail it the facial expression's are amazingly close to Peter's 10 out of 10 in my book you should deff be proud of this!
Thank you sir for the kind comment and great observations. Your support means a lot! We had an absolute blast of a time.
This is awesome! You did a great job, the suit is spot on. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing!!!! great job, looks like a lot of work. Thanks for the effort and just looking at it makes me geek out.
Thank you for watching. A little geeking out is healthy for the soul.
Wow this is a really good Robocop-Suit. The Colour, the Details. Really really impressive. Incredible.
Thank you so much!
CRUSHED IT - best Robocop Cosplay I've ever seen, and you honored the character. Just awesome!
Thank you so much!
Smashed it 🥳👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
…plus, Bloodsport music at the end, perfect 🤣👌🏼
So great. Many many awesome costumes at this event.
This is incredible. This definitely would have been the highlight of any day to see this in person. If I were in this suit I would have stayed in character and told everyone I met to "stay out of trouble."
Thanks for watching! I tried to stay in character but had to break a few times.
@@ChrisBoshProps
Had to break character?
That's just OCP's software getting buggy!
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Ending every encounter with this sentence.
Brilliant 😀👍🏻
I would probably be like "Hello officer Murphy. Thank you for keeping us safe" and then after the encounter "Wait, what just happened?"
Robocop was 1 of my idols.. I've seen so many cosplay suits of it and I swear.. apart from the movie your suit is hands down the best I've seen. Well done
Thank you! I tried hard on it. Still needs some tweaks but were getting there.
@@ChrisBoshProps
would be nice if you could reduce the size of the black torso. so the armor looks less* flat😁 keep up the good work.
i love guys like you, you put so much into it and i do admire the hard work ya put into it. great stuff, glad a lot of peeps took notice of you. keep up the great work dude.
Peter Weller's mouth actually displayed the majority of his emotion in the movie. You were on point with that even. Your OCP handler and the soundtrack loop was a great added enhancement. Thanks for sharing your creation. Very very cool.
This is Fantastic, you belong to a special club that gets to understand the pain Peter Weller had to endure for the Robocop 1&2 shoots back in the late 80's n 90's. You guys got your suit together in the parking lot and it took you 1-2 hours, thats bonkers! You could probably understand his feelings when they approached him for Robocop 3 and he was like Nah! XD
The Suit looks incredible tho so it was well worth the effort! ^_^
Thank you sir. I think what he endured is far worse then what I had to go through. Thankfully most times I wore it the weather was cold. I believe when he wore the suit it was over 100 degree weather and it would take a lot longer to put it on him before filming. I could say I endured a small taste of what he did and that small taste in better circumstances still was moderately miserable haha but a blast of a time. I appreciate your comment very much!
THAT WAS DONE WITH A 3D PRINTER?! 😳🥺😱 HOLY SHIT!! That is unbelievably COOL!!!💯👍
The only thing missing is Robocop's iconic gun, the Berretta Auto-9!!
This was completely 3D printed. Thank you so much it was an amazing and great time!
I also think it would have been even better with a gun. Looks like other people had guns with their constumes and they didnt even have to have red tips
the jaw dropping reactions! amazing
Thank you for watching!
Sensacional! a Robocop Suit mais fiel ao filme que eu já vi até hoje! Congratz Chris! 👏👏👏👏
I am shocked there aren’t more groupies around you!? That suit is amazing!! Why is Everyone so calm… like … “We see this suit everyday. “ I think you should def work on the holster/gun next! Even the adjustable arm cannon from robo3 would be awesome!
That thing was dead compared to what San Diego would’ve been.
If he goes there then the guy wouldn’t be able to walk anywhere.
I wad thinking the same thing. People walking like it's no big deal. Crazy
Trickiest part with the holster is always getting enough courage together to hollow out your leg.
Couldn't get halfway through the video without congratulating you on the costume (my god, bro...) as well as on contributing on what it should all be about: people having fun and chilling in peace. Beautiful video.
I can't describe how fun it was and how much of a pleasure it was to be there. Thanks for watching sir and I'm super happy you enjoyed it!
Back in 1987 Robocop and Lethal Weapon were the two must see movies for me and my family and, I believe, it was for most people as well. I was 26 yrs old then. This was nostalgic and heartwarming for me to see. It's too bad a lot of the younger people don't even know about Robocop because I think you should have gotten much more attention. We've seen plenty of superhero and Star Wars costumes before but not Robocop, especially not one so realistic. The work you put into making it shows in the details of it. I would have been thrilled to see you walking around with that suit . I would have bypassed everyone else just to say hello to you. Thank you for doing this and sharing it with us. This put a smile on my face.
What amazing and thoughtful comment. It was one of my favorite movies as well and that's why I've put so much heart and hard work to make it just right. And I really did make this video also for people like you to enjoy !! I'm so glad and very appreciative of your support ..
@@ChrisBoshProps I also saw the video of how you put the suit together with the attention to detail and comfort. Genius work! I also appreciate your love for Christopher Reeve, the most true superman. It makes me glad to see someone of a younger generation then mine keeping the old school stuff alive. Thank you for the kind reply and, once again, for what you do.
That looked absolutely perfect. Even the bit where you see his mouth was always perfect like it was somehow manufactured. Much respect mate .
Thank you!
This is honestly the best fan cosplay costume I´ve seen. Fits very well, doesn´t look akward and loose like many others. Great work!
Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for bringing ROBOCOP back to life. All your hard work has definitely paid off. Truly amazing.
Thanks Scott! I appreciate your comment and most definitely the work paid off I couldn't be more grateful!
@@ChrisBoshProps your quite welcome.

Absolutely incredible brother! I’m sure you made a lot of peoples day just being there in that suit! ❤️
It was an amazing time! Thank you so much!
Honestly I think your suit stole the show. I was a mad Robocop fan growing up. This has to be the best fan made tribute ever. Well done! And that theme is just the cherry on top!
Amazing brother! Wow great job!
Wow as a kid growing up (I'm 41) Robocop was one of my favorite movies. I used to imagine myself in a costume just like the original one for Halloween in grade school. Great job, the attention to details, to the walk and sounds. To pull it off at such a high level is awesome
Thank you sir!
I never thought I'd see RoboCop waiting a crosswalk 😂 amazing art well done.
Thank you!
He's just following Prime Directive#3 "Uphold the law"
Sec. 552.001. Texas Transportation Code, Section (c) "A pedestrian facing a steady red signal alone or a steady yellow signal may not enter a roadway."
@@sherbournesubwaymess this made me laugh out loud robo cop waiting at a crosswalk because he's programmed to... Serve the public trust protect the inocent uphold the law and wait at crosswalks.
Firstly, credit to ALL the homemade Robocop suits manufactured on their own. This definitley looks the most screen ready! Great job!
OMG!!! My favorit film 80's ! Murphy!!! ❤️❤️ Great job friend!

Wow such a well made suit. The attention to detail is incredible. You not only walk like Robocop, you even have his lips! Probably the best Robocop cosplay I've seen. Well done sir!
I think on the original suit, the thigh and shin armour, was joined at the knee, with a hinge. This was done to stop the upper part falling inside and looking disjointed.
Yes the original suit used a hinge on both sides. I used straps with buttons to attach the calves to the upper leg as it's more comfortable and easier to walk. The upper part of the leg that was scraping my upper front knee was because I didn't add padding in that area of the upper leg when I should of. Thanks for the comment!
This is amazing costume! Just like a gentle nostalgic song to heart.
It's funny, how kids and young people just walk away, or confusingly staring.
This is classic! Great, great job! 👍
That is amazing sir. Love the dedication to detail.
Thank you very much!
This is a stunning costume. You really did an amazing job. The sculpt is so good, the finish is beyond smooth and the paint apps and the shading are just perfect. Honestly what a fantastic job.
Congratulations, that suit looks incredible.
Thanks I appreciate your comment!
Really great, awesome to see great detail of the suit. Must have been a great feeling and experience.
Totally was. Thanks for the comment
As someone who has been up close to one of the original movie prop suits, this is the best looking recreation I have seen. Big fan of the first movie and you nailed it! Great work!
Thank you so much! I appreciate that!
GREAT JOB!!! So happy you were able to turn heads and get such great reactions!
Thank you man for the generous comment it was an amazing time!
Perfect mate, top level job!!!
The Robocop theme is sooo golden! 😎👌
I've never gone to a Comic Con, and don't plan to, but was randomly recommended this video and I have to say wow...nice work on the costume and you have the Robocop walk down pat. Funny how most people seemed to be oblivious, but the few people that appreciated it clearly really appreciate it, heh.
Thank you!
Amazing work! Seeing this warms my heart as Robocop was always a fav growing up. The costume looked incredible and the sound fx in your suit were icing on the cake!

outstanding, dude....seem that u are a nice and humble person, robocop is an iconic and 1 off my favorit character from 90's
This randomly popped up in my feed and I love it- great attention to detail.
Your partner had a good suit too and I love all the help she did to get you into the outfit, and to film
I couldn't have done it without my beautiful wife. She is a huge support to this channel and everything I do. Thanks for the comment!
This suit is absolutely amazing. This is the best build I've ever seen and would have went insane if I saw you walk in like this. Really unbelievable work you did on this. Excellent job. Movie quality.

Awesome work and suit!! You know when the Janitor Lady took your picture it means awesomness. She probably seen it all
Yeah that was awesome!
Inspirational. Amazing work, well done.
Thank you man! That means a lot...I aim to inspire and motivate others to take on their cosplay dreams.
That suit is BAD ASS! I'm A huge fan of the original RoboCop movies (watched them all on cinematic first relaease) and you've absolutely done the character justice. You transported me back to 1987 - and you brought back memories of me leaving the cinema and thinking I'd just watched something that was truly original, thought provoking...and immediately iconic. I guess some of the younger generation at the convention wouldn't have been familiar with RoboCop - especially the O G version - but for those in the know he was as iconic as any Marvel or D.C. character.
Hope you get the pinch points ironed out so you can make appearances at more conventions. 60 year old Aussie guy here...loving your video. Bravo sir!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you got to take a nostalgia trip it was quite a ride for me as well. Good day sir and nice meeting you.
This put a big smile on my face. Well done!
Thanks!
