Listen. Your ads are getting out of control. For starters, we don't need to hear it twice. secondly, NEVER in the middle of the video. It instantly makes people unsubscribe. Like i'm doing now
Derek Furst I can see if they had a 15 second ad in the beginning, but geez... He didnt even play the ad twice he played it three times. I know im never watching this dude ever again.
Daglas Aitsen The ad placement is still horrible. Imagine if television shows had the characters stop in the middle of the show between commercials and were like "we just wanna take this chance to remind you to enjoy a refreshing coke" you can have ads and not totally ruin the flow of your program
Derek Furst Not quite sure what you mean. For a classic "30 minute" TV show there will normally be 2 ad breaks during the show, for a "60 minute" TV show, there will be 4. For scripted shows, the TV shows are written specifically so they have a place for these ad breaks. If you mean the actual timing in the middle for this review is poor, that's possible, I can't be bothered hunting the specific ad breaks to see what they're like in this review. Most shows don't have the characters themselves doing the ads, but they do sometimes have the actors introducing them particularly in the past. For a review, there isn't really any character, so it's more similar to a non fiction show were you do sometimes have the presenters talking about a break for messages from their sponsors, or whatever.
What's the point of a 5K display with the hardware that the iMac offers? But I have to admit, this is a value product. Probably the only value product Apple has every manufactured.
Guy Random This and the Mac Pro, at launch time for 3000$ you could not build a better system than the base model Mac Pro, plus it was smaller than anything else on the market at that processing power.
Tim Fan That is true, but in this case we are not talking about the macbook pro, we are talking about the Mac Pro, which is supposed to be a high end uber powerful workstation and lets be honest, as beautiful and innovative as I do think it is, it has become a gadget to impress your friends. If they had gone for a dual socket, quad gpu and tons of storage options, like the previos Mac Pro Monster, then it would be a different story.
The point of this iMac is to sell iMacs. A user can play on Facebook, or edit a hollywood movie, or just it it on a desk and stare at it. Granted other platforms might do it better or cheaper or something, but this is simply a product that people can choose to buy or not. The point of a workstation is not expansion, it's work.

Yep I will definitely choose the iMac over the Dell's stand alone more value for the money $2500 and you get a computer, While the Dell display is $2500 plus graphic card your looking little over $3,000 if you don't have the GPU to support Dell's 5K.

Misleading title. There were 8K TVs available when this video was first uploaded, making these monitors far from "The Highest Resolution Displays in the World!"
4k is 1920 * 2 = 3840 pixels wide. For a 40" TV (diagonal), at 16/9 ratio the width is about 35" (height is about 19.5"). So it makes: 3840 / 35 = approx. 110 pixels per inch.
based on your excellent review - I today took delivery of two of these 5K monitors for use with my MAC Pro (2013 cylinder) - plugged them in and we were off - seamless scrolling between screens - no stress - no fuss and I even used the included cables too - no need to faff about with trying to find compliant aftermarket cables - easy is the word. The screens are AMAZING - glass fronted, crystal clear, STUNNING graphics and so cheap too - very happy and my eyes and have been treated to something very special - cheers.
? Why is the Dell monitor a bad deal just because it doesn't have a built-in computer? To people like me, that makes it a BETTER value, because if something in my computer fails, I don't have to go without a nice display on my replacement system.
How does not having a built-in Mac make the Dell seem bad from a value point of view? I mean, if I wanted a 5k screen, I'd prefer to not having to buy a computer as well. Being able to buy only a monitor is so much more convenient.
Does it have displayport input for your PC? Does it have all the same input features a Dell UltraSharp series monitor have? With Picture-in-Picture and stuff like that? It's like comparing a pickup truck to a trailer. If you have an SUV and you need a trailer to transport stuff, you wouldn't buy a pickup truck instead, just because it's got a car built in, you'd get the trailer. Comparing a screen to an all-in-one computer and saying one is better value is like saying that an orange is better value than a pear because it's cheaper. They are two different things. Even at equal prices, I'd rather have the Dell monitor, because it's much more useful for hooking computers, consoles and such up to. Better value as well from that point of view.
It's gonna be half a decade now and still 5K monitors are fucking rare. By now Apple released their own 6K display but a couple of years ago Dell came up with their 8K monitor.
Awesome video, as usual. The resolutions of monitors are moving faster than the technology can keep up with. 4K content is extremely scarce, and there's already 5K via Apple and Dell? While I can imagine that it looks amazing, it's not a standardized resolution, so I'd imagine that the next leap will be 8K in the PC world in the next few years. Still will work great for content creation, thanks to all the screen real estate.
***** 3way sli or something, i would say titan x in 3 way sli cna handle this thing. its going to cost a fortune doe. titan x for the vram you know 12 gb of it :)
***** i'd have to agree considering you'd have to be rich to even have those qualities for gaming lol I understand future proof upgrades but its beyond overkill to have 3x 4k or even 5k monitors for the current and next generation of gaming
Adobe RGB 98% for the iMac? Would really like to know where you got that number from. My understanding is that the iMac is more around 70% of Adobe RGB, not to mention Yosemite only supports 8bit/color channel, so displaying Adobe RGB is totally out of the question in Mac OS X. Not even sure if iMac's or cinema displays even support proper hardware calibration or not, which would be another major difference between apple displays and more "professional" monitors, and why the price points are more or less justified.
+Epicness 357 The iPhone 4 really was a game changer. I remember I bought it (and even waited in line for the sucker) over the HTC EVO 4G which had an 800x480 screen, which was considered one of the best at the time.
Dell and Apple has still not learned that NO one seriously occupied with imagery is interested in a glossy reflection coming from the screen. If I was into seeing the reflection of myself and everything behind me I'll buy a mirror.
stonsie da boss too bad its hardware is already several years old. apple sells new computers with 3 year old internals. a 5k iMac with a radeon 2gb video card?! lol... mid range PCs now have 8gb video cards! they bragged about the new Mac pros 1.86 tflops... lol. my gtx1080 has 8.9 tflops! apple takes a turd and puts it into a fancy box and sells it to dumbasses .
lol what r u talking about. they update the internals every year. i also dont understand ur vocabulary or care because it is really fast and the display is incredible and the software is great and its an all in one and there are no wires
+B. Nunes Watching this on my custom built hackintosh with a 5k Dell screen attached. Enjoy your limited all in one, when your specs become shitty and you decide to throw your imac away your screen will get binned with it.
The Dell monitor looks like the color reproduction is more accurate. The whites are white whereas the Mac has a warm hue to it. Also the fact that the speakers are better on the Dell makes me want the dell one more.
are you serious lol. You're only getting a monitor for 500$ more than you would get a very very similar monitor PLUS a machine that can run it without a problem. You must be very rich to buy the dell over the imac
MrHashtagMinecraft The iMac is actually not that powerful. The GPU is a mobile one and can barely run it, and not to mention the fact that it can't really be used as a workstation as it has Mac OS. The monitor can be hooked up to a computer that you already have, and when you are done with the machine you can reuse the monitor, unlike the iMac.
Sir Platform I've never heard of duel-booting before, care to educate me? If you mean dual-booting, then that wouldn't be Mac OS. That would be another operating system.
UnderwearThief Duel-booting is when you install software that will let you install Windows on a Mac, it's actually endorsed by Apple too (they made the first program allowing you to do it). All you need is a legit *( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)* version of Windows to install and bootcamp (it's free, too) and you're set.
I'd just buy the Mac because you get a great computer for the exact same price. If I REALLY wanted to have a computer running Windows (God would only know why), I'd just install it on the iMac w/ Bootcamp. Windows runs better on Macs anyway, as Bootcamp optimizes Windows to run on such hardware.
N ytonial How so? I gave a valid and reasonable point--no--a FACT. The iMac costs just as much as the Dell monitor does, but you also get a really nice computer (and much better build) with it, plus peripherals. If I was dead-set on running Windows, yet wanted a 5K monitor, wouldn't it be worth it to buy the Mac and run Windows on it? That way I'd have a computer AND monitor for the same amount of money that it would take to buy that standalone Dell monitor.
Becuase thats only 1 expensive manufacturer that your basing the entire windows platform off. "why would anyone want to run windows", becuase its more useful, more compatible, and some people like to not have to pay apple the 400% commission (phones at least) that they want to put their logo on average computer parts. "windows runs better on mac" :D Dont make me laugh..... windows 10 on equal hardware (SSDs) boots faster than mac OS, and faster becuase a virtual machine will always have bottlenecks. It makes me think your only experience with computers are a $10000 mac with a top range i7 or xenon and GPU, and are compairing it to a $200 HP seccond hand windows with a lifetime of craapware installed on it. what if... 5K is pointless.... Unless your a graphic designer there is no need for 5K, even 4K hasn't got much support yet. When graphics cards come out that can drive 4&5K in games, the large resolution market will expand and prices will drop. Its allready happened with 4K for us PC users. the first 4K monitor (not implanted in a crapple machine) cost $1200, and to play a game at that resolution would take a 2 part graphics array of at least $1400. since then the R9 and GTX 9 series have come out and meant that the average computer gamer has a 4K monitor capable graphics card for $500 or so, and thus the price of 4K monitors is now as low as $400. And dont pull the "macs are better becuase they can display in 5K" Becuase, like macs, PCs of the last deccade can display the desktop at 5K too. But there is more to computing than looking at your pretty icons and facebook page....
N ytonial Don't tell me that using MacOSX is expensive, when one could build a Hackintosh if they really wanted to. Also, a registered copy of Windows costs a good deal of money, while MacOSX is free to download. Windows is more compatible? What, games? I don't think games (something Microsoft specializes in, so of course Windows would have more made for it) really count enough to be mentioned. What interesting is that MacOSX already have lots of good 3rd party software for it--many Apple-made applications already coming with the system. With Windows, as soon as you need to do something as simple as opening a .zip, you have to go and download some 3rd-party application for it. MacOSX can also deal with formats (reading AND writing) specific to Windows, which makes it multi-platform. Heck, even 20+ years ago, Apple advertised DOS-compatible Macs. I've got one that's from 1994, and it can physically run MS-DOS and even Windows. Pretty cool. I was speaking about the hypothetical situation in which someone would want either a Dell 5K monitor or a 5K iMac... in which case the iMac is a better buy, since it costs the same, yet includes a great computer (and peripherals) along with that price. Even as a monitor, that Dell looks like it's made with pretty cheap parts. And, if someone really wanted to run Windows in the end, they could install it right on the Mac without any issues. The Mac will have better Windows support than any other PC, whether pre-built or custom.
yes. horrible image retention. I have a 5k and it sucks so bad. I'd never buy an Apple again. $3,000 machine and the image retention is so bad it causes me havoc when creating my client designs. awful.
+Dusty Knocks ??? Maybe you got a bad one. From what you just said, I do something that's pretty much the same to what you do and I also use a 5K iMac. I have no problems with it. I actually have that Dell monitor sitting right beside it and I find that the iMac is A LOT better. Huh. That's really weird. What monitor are you using or planning on getting now?
The Mac sound doesn't have more fidelity, it actually hides certain elements of the track and it sounds muffled. With the dell one can hear more information.
Dell makes pretty damn good displays. I was so tempted to get this guy to replace my old Dell U2711 (or rather to push it to secondary monitor status) which I was and am still super happy with, but ended up with a Wacom Cintiq instead as it is more suited for my job. The U2711 still resides on my desk as the secondary monitor now after replacing the stand to be able to tilt it. If I ever buy a display I can't draw on again, they have certainly earned my trust.
3:49 there is an explanation in the iMac 5k video by Apple. They stated that they had to make a custom chip in order to power the display, so to not have an extra connector for it.
Thank you very much for this review! Are there any obstacles (other than price) to turning one of these displays into a "Cintiq-like" pressure-sensitive tablet monitor, as the iPad Pro seems to be. They have similar resolution (allowing for different sizes): 240 ppi vs. 260 ppi, which would be a lot like working at actual print resolution for digital illustrations. Any comment?
Just bought the new iMac, 27 inch’s it’s fantastic, wouldn’t own anything Dell again had one many years ago. My last iMac lasted over 10 years, new one can upgrade to 64 gigs of ram. Pricey yeah but for me worth it.
When new, bleeding-edge displays come out, the only question, really, is, "do they come from the same factory and production run?" (and "are there problems with that factory / production run?") Other than that, you basically care about fit and finish and what's in front of the display (glass or matted lamination).
The charging port on the Dell doesn't have "a little bit extra voltage" it can provide more amperage. If it had more voltage, it would break the device you plug in.
Nice video and good comparisons. Can you put in the description how you tested the monitors? I'm trying to figure out how you did the light meter/contrast test. Thanks.
to me both speakers sounds the same because i am listeing through my macbook pro speaker..so both sounds like a macbook pro speaker *If you didnt get it ,its a stupid test,to record an audio with mic from speakers (pc or tv or whatever),add it on your video, add it on youtube and ask people to listen to the difference...thats not possible, because what we listen is your mic quality through our speaker.so it sounds nothing like the source
I'm not sure how the iMAC is the better purchase, considering if you ever say wanted to upgrade to a PowerMAC, you'd have to buy a seperate 5K display.
great comparison but I think some people didn't like the video because you talked things other than just strictly display quality which is what most people wanted to know.
This video came out in 2015, it's 2 years later now and people are still buying 1080p monitors. Forget 5k, atleast for now. The fastest g-sync monitor isn't even 5k, it's 1440p which is basically 2k.
You can't really hook up decent computer hardware to the mac monitor ever and there really aren't any options on the market today that can properly drive ether, by the time this changes there will be better monitors on the market. The dell may be something you may consider in a professional setting where 5k display and color accuracy is something that would help you preform your job. For most people both would be a mistake
iMac has mostly the best display, but you have to ask yourself what you want (to do). Photo editing = Best display | playing games = good display | ...
Why is a 5K monitor at 5120x2880? A single monitor at 720p resolution is on 1280x720 (HD) so single HD 1280x720 x5 = 6400x3600 not 5120x2880. Why is this 5120x2880 supposedly a 5K monitor?
Marino Petrucci 5K refers to the pixel width of the image, they round 5120 to 5000 which is written in shorthand as "5K" , K stands for 1000, thus 5K. 👍🏼😀
Oh cool - 5 times the resolution. But "K" still means 1000, as it's an accepted shorthand for Kilo, which means 1000. Also used in audio specs, like 1K, 5K etc, identify hertz frequencies.
For me, resolution is definitely second to refresh rate. Since going to 120hz native refresh rate... I will never even consider a monitor which is only capable of 60hz, regardless of resolution.

Daglas Aitsen The ad placement is still horrible. Imagine if television shows had the characters stop in the middle of the show between commercials and were like "we just wanna take this chance to remind you to enjoy a refreshing coke" you can have ads and not totally ruin the flow of your program

Buy $2,500 monitor, realize it makes your UI looks like shit due to improper scaling. FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Jason Y No scaling no cry! :3
+Jason Y Scaling works prefectly in OSX...
+Coded Games ^ what he said
+Jason Y im sorry, is that really the price of this monitor? :U
Yes, scaling issue only really happens in Windows and only on certain applications. Autocad and Adobe programs to name a few.

wow this is the first time, apple is cheaper than dell!
supbrotv second time, the Mac Pro was the fastest system you could buy for 3000$ at launch time, and also by far the smallest.

Those are prototypes.
And?, they are still a higher res than 5k.....
Patrik Manni that's the point he was making, learn how to read.
oobligah he read it right, the man said highest in the marketplace. None of those are available to buy because they are prototypes

I see 0 point to get the Dell. The imac is so much better value it's unreal. Only in the rarest of circumstances would getting the Dell make sense
? Why is the Dell monitor a bad deal just because it doesn't have a built-in computer? To people like me, that makes it a BETTER value, because if something in my computer fails, I don't have to go without a nice display on my replacement system.
3 years late you sit duck with your outdated Imac. PC guy is still rocking with there newest hardware on a nice monitor.
Wow this was like a monitor science video, i really enjoyed it!
It's so nice of you to make the video clip.
They are two completely different products for two completely different buyer groups, apples and oranges. Which is why you can't compare the value.
Ivan Balajić not 1000 gpu pls go home
not even ya dingus
And in 10 years, these displays will cost 30% of today's price and 30k will be the highest resolution on the market.
Now we wait...
Nick waiting is stupid
It's gonna be half a decade now and still 5K monitors are fucking rare. By now Apple released their own 6K display but a couple of years ago Dell came up with their 8K monitor.
welcome to the future, where pretty much the same display sells for $1,600 :)
we are no where near 5K monitors XD in the future
Very detailed review I havent seen a monitor review this detailed before great job! 👍🏻😉
The Dell speakers sound better up to now
I don't think theres a GPU out there that can even support 5k. The resolution itself is rare
***** actually some youtuber did some gaming with 5k
***** his YT is LinusTechTips
Huskers yeah I know most of the stuff they present are just for show
What the heck. This iMac with an entire computer inside seems thinner than a standalone 5K monitor.
+Anton Zuykov Dell is making profesional monitor not hippster shit
Adobe RGB 98% for the iMac? Would really like to know where you got that number from. My understanding is that the iMac is more around 70% of Adobe RGB, not to mention Yosemite only supports 8bit/color channel, so displaying Adobe RGB is totally out of the question in Mac OS X. Not even sure if iMac's or cinema displays even support proper hardware calibration or not, which would be another major difference between apple displays and more "professional" monitors, and why the price points are more or less justified.
loot crate sellout 1 ad is enough
"With retina" Shut up. It's not with retina. Retina isn't a technology. Anything above 351 PPI is "Retina" It's a TERM. NOT A TECHNOLOGY..
exactly on iPhone's retina display is just an excuse for the horrendous displays on iPhones
+Epicness 357 They invented the """""sweet spot"""""
+Epicness 357 The iPhone 4 really was a game changer. I remember I bought it (and even waited in line for the sucker) over the HTC EVO 4G which had an 800x480 screen, which was considered one of the best at the time.
Exactly and they didn't make it lg did and iPhone paid them
Dell and Apple has still not learned that NO one seriously occupied with imagery is interested in a glossy reflection coming from the screen. If I was into seeing the reflection of myself and everything behind me I'll buy a mirror.
Very professional video my man. One to many plugs tho. I own a 5k iMac. Very of pleased with it....
What setup are you running?!
100fps --- 5K ---- Crysis 3
Four way SLI GTX 980
25 way sli gtx 990 Ti
4 R9 290X 8GBs in crossfire, and an Intel 5960X.
He didnt run crysis lol

Watching on my 5k iMac
stonsie da boss too bad its hardware is already several years old. apple sells new computers with 3 year old internals. a 5k iMac with a radeon 2gb video card?! lol... mid range PCs now have 8gb video cards! they bragged about the new Mac pros 1.86 tflops... lol. my gtx1080 has 8.9 tflops! apple takes a turd and puts it into a fancy box and sells it to dumbasses .
lol what r u talking about. they update the internals every year. i also dont understand ur vocabulary or care because it is really fast and the display is incredible and the software is great and its an all in one and there are no wires
How does it feel using 4% of the resolution...?
can you install pc games?
romancebear yes
If only there was some information about lootcrate in this video
"Highest Resolution Displays in the World"... Except for the 8K displays? -.-
This is not compare video, this is Sponsor video !
i am watching this on my 5k iMac
+B. Nunes Watching this on my custom built hackintosh with a 5k Dell screen attached. Enjoy your limited all in one, when your specs become shitty and you decide to throw your imac away your screen will get binned with it.
fuck you nigga
La Thien thanks for the support
B. Nunes Is your iMac 5k irrelevant yet? Don't worry it will be soon
just fuck off nigga
My 5k imac came with 1 dead pixel. Had apple replaced it under warranty. now it's perfect.
Thank You for giving a review that was informational and focused entirely on the products. Finally someone who knows how to do a review.
UnderwearThief "it can't really be used as a workstation as it has Mac OS". Have you ever heard of duel-booting? Parallels? VMWare?
Windows runs better on Macs anyway, as Bootcamp optimizes Windows to run on such hardware.
true. I think Dell made a mistake with the pricing and it probably will drop in the future
Spoken as a true fanboy....
The Mac will have better Windows support than any other PC, whether pre-built or custom.
those 720p youtube videos must look great on these
Congrats on 100k subs.
Keep it up!!
way too much sponsor hawking :(
I heard about image ghosting problems in iMac. Is it true?
yes. horrible image retention.
What does "image retention" and "image ghosting" mean? Is it only related to animation?
holy crap those dell speakers are awesome
The fidelity of the imac's speakers sounds like it passes through about eight feet of water first.
Thunderbolt and display port use the same connector... But their not the same type of connection -____-
The Mac sound doesn't have more fidelity, it actually hides certain elements of the track and it sounds muffled. With the dell one can hear more information.
Didn't take long for the prices to drop, 5K monitors are $1500 now.
Both panels were pretty much evenly matched very surprising. 5k is amazing-overkill, but amazing
all about that dollar man 3 ads in one video
This video missed the point that the two screens are the same panel so they are gonna be pretty much the same
Woj or whatever how you say your name. The port doesn't have extra voltage, that violates USB standard. It is 5V @ more current. Do you even EE bro?
Dell makes pretty damn good displays. I was so tempted to get this guy to replace my old Dell U2711 (or rather to push it to secondary monitor status) which I was and am still super happy with, but ended up with a Wacom Cintiq instead as it is more suited for my job. The U2711 still resides on my desk as the secondary monitor now after replacing the stand to be able to tilt it.
If I ever buy a display I can't draw on again, they have certainly earned my trust.
Ok i think, it's safe to say that this is a Monitor Channel. Not necessarily in a bad way but you see what i mean.
3:49 there is an explanation in the iMac 5k video by Apple.
They stated that they had to make a custom chip in order to power the display, so to not have an extra connector for it.
Actually. R9 M395X and upgraded CPU. Comes to about 2799 not including taxes
great vid. I just do photography and know very little about the whole thing. but you increased my knowledge these monitors. again thank you
Thank you very much for this review!
Who is better?
why play the same ad three times
Just bought the new iMac, 27 inch’s it’s fantastic, wouldn’t own anything Dell again had one many years ago. My last iMac lasted over 10 years, new one can upgrade to 64 gigs of ram. Pricey yeah but for me worth it.
This was released on my birthday :D
When new, bleeding-edge displays come out, the only question, really, is, "do they come from the same factory and production run?" (and "are there problems with that factory / production run?")
Other than that, you basically care about fit and finish and what's in front of the display (glass or matted lamination).
10-bit color depth cannot be achieved on a mac
can't understand why they use a mac for video/graphics things
David is Fan of His Dell Desktop
that mac is SICK!
The charging port on the Dell doesn't have "a little bit extra voltage" it can provide more amperage. If it had more voltage, it would break the device you plug in.
their both 5k and their both screens. good enough.
iMac is $1730
Dell is $1599
Clearly we got a winner here Apple offers a lot more than just an 5k monitor
Which do you think is better a fully equipped 5K iMac 27" or a fully equipped Mac Pro for hard core 4K video editing etc...
Best monitor review ever.
Thanks for you review it very interesting.
I have the iMac 5k it ok but not on par with a dedicated monitor such as Eizo or the like.
Nice video and good comparisons. Can you put in the description how you tested the monitors? I'm trying to figure out how you did the light meter/contrast test. Thanks.
2021 still polling few fps. After so many year image is just incredible! No plan to sell. Astounding Dell monitor
to me both speakers sounds the same because i am listeing through my macbook pro speaker..so both sounds like a macbook pro speaker
*If you didnt get it ,its a stupid test,to record an audio with mic from speakers (pc or tv or whatever),add it on your video, add it on youtube and ask people to listen to the difference...thats not possible, because what we listen is your mic quality through our speaker.so it sounds nothing like the source
I'm not sure how the iMAC is the better purchase, considering if you ever say wanted to upgrade to a PowerMAC, you'd have to buy a seperate 5K display.
OVERALL IMAC TOOKDOWN THE DELL! I WISH THAT IMAC WAS IN FRONT OF ME ;(
thanks for the thorough review. Would love to see your opinion of the new UP3216Q
great comparison but I think some people didn't like the video because you talked things other than just strictly display quality which is what most people wanted to know.
You said that it is basically impossible to play at 5k resolution, could you scale the resolution down and then play without lag? Great video
I hope that the battery charging port does not have "A little bit extra voltage", but maybe can output more current.
I am so looking forward to purchasing my own 4K or 5K Computer Monitors!
iMac has mostly the best display, but you have to ask yourself what you want (to do). Photo editing = Best display | playing games = good display | ...
Great video man! Thank you.
3 minute long ads in a 15 minute vid? wow. I'll never be watching one again.
Great in depth review :D
Why is a 5K monitor at 5120x2880? A single monitor at 720p resolution is on 1280x720 (HD) so single HD 1280x720 x5 = 6400x3600 not 5120x2880. Why is this 5120x2880 supposedly a 5K monitor?
It's more than 5 times actually cuz 1280x720 is 921,600 pixels where as 5120x2880 is 14,745,600 pixels which is exactly 16times the amount of pixels
Thanks for the answer man.
Marino Petrucci 1k is NOT HD 540p is 1k
This is not fair. There is no point having a battle between a monitor and a computer.
Nice review, very thorough.
For me, resolution is definitely second to refresh rate. Since going to 120hz native refresh rate... I will never even consider a monitor which is only capable of 60hz, regardless of resolution.
You are doing video about 5K monitors but you upload the video in fullHD congratulation
