    Using a hammer and hitting that axle straightened real easy

      @@olzkng not good as you can miss up your gears near the tip of the axle

    you know how it got bent?

    • @olzkng
      @olzkng  Před 2 lety

      Nope. Someone hit a curb or hit one pot hole too many I'd assume. I bought the rear end used so it was like that when I got it.

    All you did was get new axles ?

      Yes, I had Moser make me a pair of axles. I put new bearings on the axles before they went in so the bearings and the axles were both brand new and slid right in. It took care of the problem. They usually get bent by either a huge pothole or from hitting a curb and bending the outboard section of the axle shaft or flange.

      @@olzkng okay perfect I’m having the same problem in my rear passenger side I’m pretty sure that’s what it is would you have to get both new axles or just one

      You can put in one used axle if you want. If t’s a common rear end they may be easy to find. My rear axles are Olds 12 bolt 31 spline which they only made for 2 years I believe so you very rarely see them for sale. An axle manufacturer may only sell them in pairs if you try to buy them new.
