@@average.yt.commenter609 eehh kind of disagree. While it is true that there always exists a left and right, I think the differences are greatly amplified in a two-party system (like the US). In my country it happens too, but to a lesser extent because of the multi-party system. Unless you're extreme on one side of the spectrum, you should always have some common ground between let's say 5 parties
@@berthelsyonah3902 maybe in your country (i'd love to know which) but in the UK for sure even with many parties theres a massive right vs left movement now and has been since 2016 or so (not literally its been forever but has become more mainstream since then) and enjoying geopolitics as i do alot of europe is now in a place of right vs left again even with multiple parties

It's pretty much doing something and before you do it, you say you're going to do it and that you need help. Usually this action is illegal. I don't think that this is a limitation on free speech. It is speech, yes. However, id consider to be more of a plan for an assault or something.

Not that far in yet, but Felix seems to fail to understand that they have a gradient agree/disagree system for a reason. In my mind, agreeing or strongly agreeing (depending on your mindset) means that you, to whatever extent, mostly agree with the premise rather than not. That goes the same for the other end. If you disagree or strongly disagree, then you at least mostly disagree with the premise. Everyone's going to interpret it differently, but I think this is the most logical way of looking at it. If the person agrees but doesn't strongly agree, you can't assume they purely agree with the statement without exception. How could they agree any more if that is your assumption? I guess you could interpret an "Agree" as them having the same hardline stance, only they don't feel as strongly about it or feel more open to having their mind changed, but it's not a charitable reading to assume that either. Plus, she obviously wasn't meaning it like the latter if you listen to her words there.
FREE SPEECH IS VERY IMPORTANT. but there is speech that needs to dealt with like calls to violence so some things to have some moderation. you shouldn't just be able to say. everything... HOWEVER CENCORSHIP in this way is a problem when its censoring people BECAUSE OF OPINIONS. I think that any place, privately owned or not should never censor opinions no matter how far off you may deem them. People need to voice opinions on ALL SIDES of an argument or situation with trying to resolve the situation as the goal. But i am in favor of censoring calls to violence, pornographic material, gore, stuff like that. but there is a line when censorship goes to far and starts banning people on social media for opinions they have. Things like that are totalitarian

Twitter shouldnt be compared to a private house even though twitter is a private company, because the Presidents and politician make announcement on that platform, a president wouldnt go to a private house to make political announcements, therefor the town square is a much better comparison.
Otherwise, what would stop the government to make their own private platform where only politicans are allowed and then make all the decissions for the future of the country in secrecy on this platform no citizen is allowed to join?

Presidents speak in venues that are owned by private companies, shit the government spends billions of dollars in contracts with boeing and lockhead and martin, etc. Actual tax payer dollars spent. Just because politicians choose to use a platform voluntarily doesn't mean it suddenly should lose its first amendment rights. Instead of comparing it to a private house maybe compare it to madison square garden or some similar type of private venue, but a town square is public land, not a company with employees and shareholders.
Also we already have a platform where only the government can share, its literally any .gov site. without citizens engaging it wouldntg be a social media platform just a glorified website. dumbest take ever.
