- Still can't quite believe that after so many years Avatar 2 The Way of Water is finally coming to theaters next month. James Cameron is back in top form and bringing stunning visuals and effects to the silver screen again. The star studded cast includes Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang and Kate Winslet.
From the trailer description, "Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, “Avatar: The Way of Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure."

The actors turned themselves into avatars and lived underwater for 10 years to prepare for their roles, that’s true dedication

They actually developed the real technology used in the movie.
I love seeing their children vary in their physical features, you can see their middle son Lo'ak has the human number of digits and the eyebrows with hair like Jake (so he will probably struggle the most being seen as an "outsider" like his father and be a central character moving forward even into the sequels), but their eldest son and young daughter appear to have the regular Na'vi amount and no eyebrow hair like their mother.
The Metkayina clan is also fascinating because of their differences. You can see they are more teal and their stripes are more flowy to camouflage better in the water, but their forearms and tails are also thicker to help paddle in the water. They also seem to have some sort of tattoos that look kind of similar to traditional Maori tattoos in New Zealand.
They dont really have thicker tails, just flattened ones with a broader, rudder like tip like eels have
There is also the human son who was missing in this trailer, I assume he stays behind when they go vist the water tribe.
James Cameron is gonna give us a masterpiece his sequels are always better than the first I cannot wait

The water tribe is called Metkayina clan and i believe they were the only clan who didn't fight with them in the first movie. They also look very different from other Navi. Their skin shade is slightly different, their eyes are more blue than yellow and they're the only tribe with tattoos.
Do you mean the only clan within the general area that didn't fight with them? Because there are clans most likely all across the moon most likely.

To anyone who thinks this movie is going to bomb or just not be as successful as the 1st keep this in mind. Those same haters said that The Terminator and even Terminator 2 were going to be a bomb, that Titanic would sink and that Avatar would crash and burn. And yet not only did they succeed but they were all GROUNDBREAKING films.
James Cameron has literally made a career out of proving them wrong. T those critics he says, to quote The Rock “Know your role AND SHUT YOUR MOUTH!”
I think it will be massive as people eat this stuff up i personally wont bother going to see it, Terminator and T2 still Camerons best work and greatest films of all time for me...i do love the first Avatar, i dont need another..I just think a talent like Camerons was wasted working on this for so long..onr giant video game..

James Cameron is the S class director. Above Spielberg who is my favorite all time. But james was a normal dude who had a vision and those kind of people are rare. Everything since terminator he has done is top in cinema history. And his last 2 are 1 and probably 3
I never watched Avatar fully.... I watched it for the first time in Imax3d when it was re released in September..... And i was so glad that i delayed it for years..... It was one of the best theatre experience for me..... I can only imagine how awesome the 2nd part is going to be.... Can't wait...

I saw a clip at the end of the first Avatar that was remastered and rereleased in the theatres, in 3D, and it was jaw dropping. It was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. This will be an experience you won’t want to miss.

Fun fact. The Terminator was always supposed to be liquid metal. The tech was not up to scratch when T 1 was being filmed so they went with what is now history. The tech gets better and it's first tested in The Abyss (I love this movie) and it worked well enough, and more was learned that we could then have our polymorphic T 1000 in Terminator 2. James Cameron wants the best so if he has to wait for the tech to catch up, he will.
Hopefully the music will be as magical as it was in the first one. Sadly James Horner is not with us anymore for the 2nd film. Lets see how the new composer performs, from what i hear in the trailer, it sounds promising.

The visuals are amazing. Yes, oceans are very overlooked and the depth of the oceans keep throwing up new surprises as technology hasn't reached to explore those depths. The trailer makes it appear that the company made more Avatars and they are coming back for the resources, is my guess. But, it does feel an interesting story. Enjoy the banter and analysis.

I'm hoping that because it has been so long since the first movie, this will feel very fresh to us when we go back to Pandora. And the two-year gap between sequels is a rather good idea, despite being critical at the idea at first, because it allows for us to let the previous sequel sink in and then let us get a little break, therefor avoiding fatigue.

Achara is so lovely
The water na'vi are inspired by moken sea people in Thailand , who's human biology has changed over time of 5000 Years which resulted in their genetic adaptation, like see clearly under water, have bigger spleens, hold breath for longer, have stronger ligaments in arms and legs. Amazing that james cameron and his team took a real life example and morphed into an amazing story.

Nah, Top Gun: Maverick is the best movie of the year. The use of practical effects is much more satisfying than a CGI fest. Besides, Top Gun was hands down THE BEST theatre experience for me of all time.
