The 3D characters and water effects were so well done that the things movies usually do all the time were not looking good in this one. The airship and boat animations were wonky at times and some of the explosions too. Strange how the hardest stuff to do was perfect while the easy stuff was a bit off.

They will complain for hours how Avatar movies are unoriginal and than go and watch the same superhero journey redone for the twentieth time without seeing the irony.
They complain how no fresh ideas and IPs appear in Hollywood but they will shit all over these movies and wishing them to fail.

I have to play devil's advocate (especially after you mentioned Endgame). People are entitled to their opinions. For instance, you thinking Endgame was good. It was so full of deus ex machina, it isn't funny. but as you like. It was probably following the comics faithfully. I don't know. I don't think all of the movies leading up to Endgame were "great" while they were well made. A few Ironman and a Thor movie I felt could have been better.

She's definitely going to be the avatar of Eywa (or Jesus as you say), if not I'd be really disappointed. It would explain all her powers and everything, reincarnation of Grace wouldn't explain anything, although she would technically be in there to as Grace is one with Eywa now. So I definitely think Eywa used Grace's avatar to birth itself into the world because Eywa knew the humans would be back and now they're going to need someone to unite all the life on Pandora to get rid of the humans once and for all.

That's the reason why James Cameron is one of my favorite movie director (long life to his work) he had such a brilliant idea to continue this masterpiece I usually don't go see movies in theaters because of overprices tickets nowadays but worth it definitely Avatar 2 the way of water brought me 3 hours in theaters without even being tired or disappointed. His writing and his special effects visual 3D makes us believe Pandora is real, without forget it was a pure joy to see back together Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana and Stephen Lang they are such underrated actors. The movie also give such a beautiful message about family and in the first movie I wasn't really interested by Ewa but this Kiri's storyline in this chapter makes me want so bad to see the next movies.
For me the scene when Neitiry is singing for her son's deathand her voice is different I lost it and I am 27 years old man 😭

Yeah this movie is visually stunning especially in IMAX 3D. Also Kiri is actually played by Sigourney Weaver. I saw some interviews with her and James Cameron about it. He said it was incredible to see Sigourney immerse herself in this teenage character and she was describing how great this role was for connecting with her teenage self again after such long time. It is really incredible technology which can allow actors to play roles they would otherwise never be able to.

I remember years ago watching a video how people hunt whales, so watching them hunt the tulkun was especially upsetting while knowing these are real world techniques. One thing I've not seen mentioned by many/any is how when Tonowari tells Ronal she should stay home and she says "I ride" there's no pushback or questioning from Tonowari. Very commonly in unbalanced relationships even in supposedly balanced hollywood relationships the man would insist or reluctantly allow her to come along, but here, he simply offers his suggestion and lets Ronal make her own decision with full acceptance.

The end of the scene reminded me a little bit of the movie about pearl harbor. After the event occurred the boats began to sink, and when they sink they slowly flip upside down. Once the top of the boat enters the water, it starts filling up the inside of the boat which creates a suction. This suction took the lives of many soldiers because they were unable to swim fast enough to get away and got dragged under water. Brings me to tears everytime I think about it. RIP to those veterans.

The cool bit about the concept of the Avatar is being fully fleshed out in all of these movies. In mythology "Gods' would take Avatars to blend in amongst us humans. The first movie layed out that a person's soul/essence/neural patterns could be placed into an alien body. When Grace died at the end of the first movie we thought it just didn't work for her. It turns out Aywa did something different with her creating it's own Avatar in the form of Kiri. So yeah, Kirti doesn't have a Father; she is the living incarnation of Aywa.
I think the Spider/Colonel situation is going to become a necessary component to an eventual Peace and Understanding between Humans and the Navi. The Colonel will still be a bad guy but because of Spider he will learn to understand and maybe even empathize with the Navi.

For example, the Toothless from the books is of the most common dragon species, is about the size of a cat, and is quite literally toothless.

That said, Way of Water is actually the *third* movie in his original plan, but apperently he decided that the second one wouldn't work as well as a movie so instead it got adapted into a visual novel that fills the gap between the original and Way of Water

I definitely believe James Cameron has a solid plan for the story he wants to tell, because this whole film felt like the second act, of a much larger production... and I'm really excited to see where this story goes.
If you're into technical stuff, the methodology Cameron pioneered for filming underwater, is truly amazing. Not only were the actors free-diving during every underwater scene, but the mask/breathing-apparatus Spider is wearing isn't just a prop created for the film... they got it certified and approved as actual scuba dive-gear.

Jake wasn’t talking about it “being Lo’ak’s fault” about it sisters being trapped on the ship. He meant it being Lo’ak’s fault Neteyam died. Ever since the being, Neteyam has been pulling Lo’ak out of trouble. The situations were getting worse and worse until finally Neteyam lost his life. It’s a pattern with Lo’ak, and Jake probably knew Neteyam only jumped in I save Lo’ak again. Kind of a harsh thing to say, but that’s what he meant by “You’ve done enough.”
I relate to this a bit because I have a younger brother who just never learns. He keeps getting himself into more and more trouble no matter how many times our parents tell him to get his act together. Eventually, his disobedience and rebelliousness is going to get him into trouble he can’t get out of.
