I ordered one on day one. Was worried about all the negative reviews. Then I remembered why I bought it. As you said, it just works. It will work for many years to come. I have this paired with my Cinema Display non-thunderbolt. That display still works great and the Studio Display will work for a decade. You get what you pay for. Quality.
The only thing that is "wrong" with this display is the A13 chip inside. They should put an M2 inside and call this thing the new 27" iMac. Than the price (even if it's a bit higher) is also totally justified...
You are not wrong.
Probably on its way.
the price is NOT justified. way way overpaid. missing all whats comeing with another brand to way lower price
@@alcylon good, which one do you suggest 5k 27” ?
But we don’t want another iMac screen
I agree, for me the biggest surprise was how the scaling works so well. everything is so clear.
I was able to finally pick up this monitor for $1299...WOW, totally worth the purchase as it works intuitively with the MBP M3 Max 16.
Awesome! Where at?
@@JerrySchulze I was actually able to purchase it at Best Buy during a sale. Price just went back to retail ($1599).
JS - Totally with you. ASD pricing and (non)availability is annoying BUT it's awesome. I've loved mine (waiting on a second one). If you are (like me) captive to the apple ecosystem the ASD is terrific. My other issue with other options is the poor brightness - once you see 600 nits on the ASD you can't go back.
I love my 2020 iMac 27" 5700xt, 5K display. Speakers are more muffled, so i use the same external Logitec speakers i've had for 10 years. Display is similar to Studio display.
I think the Studio Display is amazing. Its features easily outweigh all of its shortcomings. I’ve never been as satisfied as I am now with my Studio Display with any Mac accessory I’ve ever purchased. It’s simply the best by a very very very long shot.
Totally agree!!!
perfect!
those background frames looks amazing, how to get it?
After watching several of your videos over the past few months, I wanted to let you know I appreciate your approach. Between you, MKBHD and Rene Ritchie, I feel like I get accurate information delivered in a professional, fun, drama-free way. Thanks so much for doing what you're doing. Keep up the good work!
Wow! Thanks so much, that is some incredible company to be in. I try to be honest in what I share so I am glad it comes through.
Great review! Many tech CZcamsrs critique products for not being what they want them to be rather than analyzing what the product is, the market it serves, and whether or not the product sufficiently and successfully fills the need for its place in the market. Even though the Studio Display isn’t for me, I can appreciate why Apple made it and the market it serves.
Thanks. It's one of those things where if you need it you know. But also there are a lot of benefits for regular people and its too bad that it is this expensive.
I bought a 2014 iMac 5k last year for $500 and use it as a computer but I can also use it as a monitor for another Mac and plan to try it one of these days. It's another option to get a 5k monitor off a Mac on the cheap. I'm currently using a 2010 iMac 27 as a third monitor for an M1 Mac mini using a piece of open source software and it works really well. One other nice thing about using an old iMac as a display is that it can also be used as a monitor for Windows systems.
Appreciate the long-term review. Planning on getting one of these in the near future.
Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks for the update JS! Quick question - what’s your configuration for the CalDigit? Are you able to plug it into the Studio Display or do both the Studio Display and CalDigit have to be plugged into your Mac? (I have the 14” MBP Max and was curious about using both the Studio Display and a hub) Thanks!
I would love to see your review after a year. My Mac Studio display died after 18 months. First signs of trouble was its inability to turn on if the Mac Studio was restarted. I was able to to get it to turn on again but this was only after having it powered down the Studio screen for at least 8 hours. Pulled this trick off 3 times but once I upgraded the OS to Sonoma it bricked out totally. Nothing will trigger it to turn on. I now own a $2500 beautiful brick. I'm in negotiations with Apple related to the next step. My best advice is keep the box for when you return it to Apple
Thanks Jerry. Very helpful!
Thank you for the advice. Great video
Hi Jerry, deeply enjoy your objective videos every you made!! Keep going, mate!
Thanks!!
@@JerrySchulze :)
Thanks Jerry - that's really a big help🙂
I have had mine for just about as long and have been using it with my 14” MacBook pro. It truly is the best display to pair with that computer and is amazing for working from home. I found that the riser Apple Sells for the iMac works well for the studio display. The reason I did not get the height adjustable stand is that the riser cost a fraction of the cost of the height adjust option.
that's awesome!
Which riser? Twelve South's?
@@kevinsmithwoo I have the 12 south high rise stand. It works great at both elevating the display for way less than the hight adjustable option on the studio display and providing storage for cables right on the desk.
@@Piketom1 What "12 south high rise stand" is that, that works with the studio display? Do you have an amazon link? Thanks!
@@philipnewton Here is a link to the product page. The stand also has lots of useful storage inside of it to keep the desk clean.
How does the display quality compare to your 2020 iMac display. Side by side since you have both.
Great review!
i'm rocking a 2011 27" cinema display hd with my macbook air m2, and it is still fantastic. sure it is a little bulky with thick bezels, but the build quality and design still solidly holds up today. if the new studio display came out in 2018, for $1000, i would jump on it. but as is, i have no reason to hold onto my 2011 apple display until they give us a more next-gen HDR screen with a better camera. it's a nice display, but i would probably use continuity cam for video calls. a near miss for me, especially at $1600, but still a very tempting dispaly
Great points and thanks for watching.
Thanks for the review - just to confirm, is your Caldigit DOWNSTREAM of the monitor? I'm thinking of using my dock downstream of the monitor to drive 2 displays (Plugable TBT3-UDZ)
Display looks great! Great review! IMO EIZO are the best displays for macs. Used them for design and color work for over 10 years. Always work flawlessly on mac. theres a reason high end retouching studios use them.
Hi Jerry: Thanks for creating this video. I am upgrading my old 2015 iMac to a new M1Pro Mac Book Pro plus this display. I like the extra ports on the back of the monitor. Can I plug a USB C hub into the monitor so that I can free-up ports on my Mac Book Pro? Cheers, Keith
Are the in built speakers are on par with the iMac 24 speakers or with 2 (in stereo) HomePod mini's ?
At the moment I'm looking at a HUAWEI MateView (28.2", 3:2 aspect ratio) for a 1/3 of the price of a ASD in the UK but I keep coming back to ASD for ease of use and that it will just fine with Macs (wrt to scaling).
I would say the months-long lead time issue you raise at 4:30 has been resolved. Ordered the same one you have two days ago and it arrived at my door 20 hours later.
Very informative
Glad it was helpful!
Jerry! Have you tried using the iPad's full screen external monitor support/Stage Manager through your CalDigit TS4? I know its still in Beta, but I just got my TS4 and I'm wondering if Ill be able to work well! Let me know!
Hi there. Would you choose this over the new Eizo cg2700x? I totaly understand the uniformity of the displays of mac, and as u, my works are mostly displayed digitaly nowdays (i am a commercial photographer)but it is hard to spend the same price for a display which lacks of a lot, and it is maybe the old lg panel refurbishd and they were not so great, then a fully pro graph display i used to in the past, but nobody cares adobe rgb today... :) does not care webcam and speakers. Thank you answering me.
Hi there, thank you for the info👍🏼 I’ve got a question. Will this display be compatible with the new ipad pro 12.9”? In a way that when you connect it with the new ipad will the content be fullscreen visible on the display?
Thanks in advance. And fyi, overhere in the netherlands we pay € 2.489,00 for the full tilted monitor with mamostructure glass. Thats $2432,56 😶
Good review and timely because I’ve been on the fence to purchase one to connect to my MacBook Air m1. QUESTION: Does this support / recognize the new Ventura continuity camera feature? Thx!
Hmm not sure what you mean. It connects the camera though the thunderbolt connection. You can choose to use continuity camera even if you have the display connected.
I love mine. Waited 6 weeks for it. Well worth it!!!
You are awosame reviewer mate, Thanks! you bring me all hidden emotions what I had with apple products. Cheers!
I have one of these on order and it has taken forever but it is supposed to be here within ten days. Right now I will be paring it with my M1 Mac Mini and I hope it works well. Can’t afford a Mac Studio yet. 😊
It will be worth the wait!
it's simply the best for Mac users. I had a iMac 27inch and as a second monitor a IIyamaha 5k display. Both has work fine, but with the purchase of a Mac Studio, I bought two Studio Dispays because they the best
2?! NICE!
Is it worth buying for macbook m1 16 pro? Im a frontend developer. Thanks in advance
How do you connect the Cal Digit dock? Do you plug your Mac into it via TB and the monitor into the dock?
I'm thinking about switching to Apple from PC/Android so this may sound like a stupid question but....
With this setup of a Mac mini and studio display, are you able to FaceTime with other iPhone/Mac users?
if you've never used a modern retina imac before, you don't know what you're missing with the image clarity and how good the sound is for regular youtube and music playing in the background while you work.
3:52 "...to switch to a VESA, or vice versa..." Made me laugh!
avoid if you're in gaming, but to codes, text clarity purpose, nothing can beat this thing.
Excellent video Jerry. Greatly appreciated. I'm biting the bullet and buying the Studio Display for my new Mac Studio M2 Max. No...not cheap and perhaps missing a few advanced features...however still THE best.
To this day, the best external display I have ever used.
Why do monitor manufacturers put vent holes on top of a screen and not the sides or better, underneath? Dust will most definitely accumulate. I always appreciated my mid-2011 iMac screen that had a smooth top. I wiped off dust from there all the time and I was so glad it wasn't in my machine. Do you know if it safe to vacuum the top of your monitor when it is off?
Great video makes me consider to buy one with a new Mac mini M2. What do y say about the RGB it’s around 85% as I have read, still work for printing photos
Yep, you are right. Professional photos or personal? petapixel.com/2022/03/18/apple-studio-display-review-accurate-and-consistent-pricey-and-aged/
@@JerrySchulze personal but I like high quality
@@andersphansson8335 I think most reviews are very positive about the color and calibration.
I have one in the office for work, but I am having issues with USB peripherals connected via the USB-C on the back of the display dropping out all the time, I am trying to run the one-wire plug and go setup with my M1 MacBook Pro... I do not have these problems using my old Thunderbolt Display at home.
So I have a small USB-C to USB-3 hub on the back, connected my wired Apple keyboard and wireless Logitech mouse via a USB dongle plugged in the keyboard, the mouse connection often drops out for like 0.5sec so when I drag and drop something it will mess up.
Another annoying thing is I have wired headphones connected to the display via a USB-C to 35mm dongle, the connection will constantly drop out every 30 mins or so and switch to the monitor audio, and the headphones won't be recognized any more, I will have to unplug and plug back in for the OS to see it.
The firmware is updated to the latest on both the OS and Display, and still didn't fix it just wondering if anyone else have this issue?
I enjoyed your review! (Now subscribed!!). I ordered the Display, and a Studio computer. I have always had a second monitor with my iMac. Now I would like to add a second monitor to my new Studio Display. Size is not an issue (prefer 24" or above) but can't afford a second Studio Display. Do you have any recommendations for me? :) Thanks again!
Thanks for the sub! I will be looking at displays soon, but not sure I have an up to date recommendation right now.
Just an FYI, Best Buy has had the standard tilt version in stock for a few weeks now. I got mine in 2 days last week and it's still in stock as of today.
Nice! I will let people know, thanks!
Where do sticky notes go?
I'm considering this display for my macbook pro 16".
Here are 6 reasons you should consider it. czcams.com/video/fRTgjjoYEV4/video.html
Look love to get one just way to much money for me. I switched from Windows to Mac, which I love.
Should there be any reason that the Apple Studio Display support. on Windows. I was wondering as Mac-centrric as it is if there are issues with Windows (after waking up from sleep or to set resolution to 1080p or 720p)?

Nice video review recap,. Jerry.
Thanks! I am not sure if there is a good reason to use it with windows but if you have space for one display and need to connected a windows machine sometimes it will work somewhat.
The delivery time is over. I ordered mine a couple weeks ago and got it the same day through courier delivery.
This was a an excellent review. Enjoyed hearing your back and forth with both the pros and the cons of Apple's new Studio Display. Earlier in the year, I had planned to replace my 2010, mac mini (the last model with a built-in DVD super-drive) and its matching Apple 27-inch Cinema LED (none thunderbolt) display with the new Mac Studio and its matching Studio Display. But, the Mac Studio was on 5-month back-log and the Studio Display had several issues (most cited in your video) and did not appear to be much of an improvement over the built-in 5K monitor present on both the 27-inch iMac Pro and the 27-inch iMac models. So, I picked-up a used 2014, trash can size 8-core/D-700 Mac Pro for $1,200 and paired it with my current 2010, Apple display and everything is working great. Why, because the picture is clear and crisp, the built-in speakers sound good, and the build quality is excellent (smile...smile).
Nice choice! Thanks so much for the comment and watching!
Wait wait wait…. Why go for the 2013 trash can, when you could’ve gotten a 2017 iMac for less, or even a 2019? Those will get the Ventura update plus they have the same exact display as the studio display. 1200 is way overpriced for that machine
Had Apple bumped this up to a 32’ at that price point, I would have definitely pulled the trigger on one. I am currently using a 32 inch 5k LG Ultrafine Ergo while not perfect (especially coming from a 5k 27’ iMac), I am quite content at the moment. Oh and the clamp stand that attaches to your table, love it. It allows me to pivot the monitor to almost any angle, including portrait, that is hard to beat. That said, if Apple were to produce a larger version at a sub $2k price, yeah, I could see picking on up.
No! It needs to be a 27” for this resolution. It is true retina 2X which perfect scaling (no scaling). 32” needs to be 6K. Apple is just doing the perfect solution, users don’t understand scaling, retina…
32" 5k from lg? Not sure if that's correct
I think Apple aren't too concerned with the camera as with the latest OS you can use your phone as a webcam. I'm most likely wrong but it's certainly an option if you want better video quality. I'll be buying one of these when I get my Mac Studio :D Great video Jerry, thank you.
I have my M2 connected to CalDigit TS4 connected to Samsung 8K mini LED TV - best setup ever!
Please review the Alogic Clarity Monitor VS :)
Hey everyone! I am working with a Macbook pro with a closed lid - and I am not sure what is the best way to leave it for a night.
With the suppose lauch of mini-LED Studio Display Pro 27" in October... Maybe Pro display XDR (min-LED) I rather wait
I feel like that sounds too good to be true. I thought there was a thunderbolt limitation about being able to do 5k at 120hz.
It’s flat out amazing. Better than my 2015 5K iMac. Let the haters hate. The only thing I regret is not getting the adjustable stand.
I figured out the best option for me is the VESA one for the adjustability
Have been seeing more ghosting on my LG UltraFine 27" lately. They are aging.. but everything I've read indicates they still have the best bang for the buck. I agree with your near-end sentiment that it sucks how sucky Macs are with external monitors. Another example: two of these LG UF 5K connected.. Mac can't tell them apart, and every time I reconnect, it's a roll of the dice that the right camera, speakers, etc. will be set. And lately, the right one starts up dimmed from sleep state--every time. This seems like just basic stuff that Apple should have solved a long time ago, especially considering they were advertising these as the "replacement" when they stopped making displays back in 2015ish timeframe. ... Anyhow, thanks for the review. It comes across as a thorough: "great, but.."
The Alogic Clarity monitor is a great alternative to this
I'll just say something, once you take it home and try it, life won't be the same without it, it's just amazing !
Yea!
its not weird to do a software update on a display, with latest oled screens you also can update the firmware
What calibration hardware and software did you use? Can brightness be reduced to 120 cdm also is it a Adobe 1998 color space? Or SRGB.
It has good % srgb
@@krishnav974 No Adobe RGB not colour accurate for printing photography.
It’s really a excellent display, It’s works well with the Mac studio and the MacBook Pro.
I’m curious why people would be surprised that Apple products not only work well with Apple products but tend to reject non Apple products? Apple ecosystem (a Steve Jobs concept) is in place to make certain you need the majority of their products to have maximum productivity. I am as close as you can be to an apple fanboy without actually drinking the koolaid, I do think the display is worth the money in my use case but sure…it’s expensive.
The webcam sucks, do professionals really rely on webcams, and if they do how much better than everyone else do I need to look on Zoom?
I have a bright room, tried to avoid studio display and get cheaper alternatives... 4k 32inch, very good reviews... nothing compares to Apple studio display, I either have to make myself work in a dark cave or get this display, all of them are 250-350 nits which are not enough to have In a room with big windows.... (even with the blinds shut down)
I got mine and yes I agree with everything in your excellent video!
My friend You are madly in love with the display Wow even at 1,600 $ you are so happy Good Luck
Which is the other monitor on your desk while talking about HDR content on youtube @1:50? Make and model number
Eve Spectrum. I have a couple vids on it.
You can definitely control the brightness of the Studio Display through windows. You just need to install the bootcamp drivers...
Interesting…
@@JerrySchulze might be an interesting video for you to do! I haven’t seen any other CZcams content describing the best practices that folks have figured out since the display has been in the wild. There’s a MacRumors Forums thread that describes it in great detail - supposedly 100% of the features work under Windows except center stage and Siri
Can I use Mac mini late 2018 with this instead of pairing with a Mac and it would work?
Apple says 2018 mac mini or later
i have a work PC(lenovo thinkpad e14 generation 3 ) and I wanted to go for a studio display rather than the 4k displays however studies show its not a good choice .But i really want the studio display. Can i still be able to connect my laptop and go for it?.please suggest

I wish Apple update this with 120hz refresh rate and local dimming zones micro led.
My main issue… you cannot sit any monitor beside it… they just not show any photo as good as this monitor… and buying another studio monitor… may be without the camera and the sound system at a better price ?
Good idea!
got it from best buy yesterday same day. same for b&h. Yeah definitely it is expensive but I just feel the quality and as a graphic designer the panel is just wonderful it’s so sharp and that extra hundred nits is actually kind of nice and I did get mine like the same day Best Buy has them in stock right now.
would never get the nano too hard to clean and it does kind of screw up the sharpness. And yes I’ve looked in to get the the Vesamount going to the Apple store and it’s actually not that expensive in fact they might not even charge me. I think it’s a great display I’m looking forward to upgrading to either a MacBook Pro max or I might get a tricked out mini for it but for now MacBook Air M1 . Not sure why the m2 mba would be a thing unless you just think dark blue is cool because to me that new air looks like a MacBook Pro on a diet and that dark color is going to get dirty fast.
In closing I feel the compare of cheaper monitors is kinds meh because one great is better than 4 mehs. Anyways, good review and thanks. Speakers are pretty pretty good:).
There really is just no comparison against this display. It has features that no other display has, but it’s Also missing features that some people want. Like everything in life there’s a trade-off and this display it’s all of the most important bits.
@@JerrySchulze very solid points. To me, as someone that uses it for my biz it can be justified as a cost and benefit. For my people that is not the dase and therefore you would get a monitor for less but the idea of ripping it for the cost? Funny story. When this monitor came out the Snazzy Labs guy was ripping it a new one which is his choice but the other day I was reading something from Sara ? Peachy and he commented hpw he was using the monitor. This is why I really try NOT to listen to tech reviewers. There is alot of tech click bait just li,e in most other place. Imenjoy your reviews and in tje end you have to try it and if it’s not for you returning it is not that difficult.
The Studio Display has been out for awhile now, and I agree it is still the best for its all in one quality package and APPLE compatibility. But…, at that price? And no HDR or mini-LED? I wanted a larger external display when it came out for my new MBP 14” and bought a used like-new late production and still in the box APPLE Thunderbolt Display for all of $200. Amazing built quality, great built-in speakers, and the mics and camera and still usable OK. No, it’s not as high resolution sharp at 2K, but at a ‘normal’ viewing distance of 2-3 feet it’s fine, and bright enough, color is great. With the TB adapter to USB-C it pairs perfect to MacOS (but no charging connection to the MBP). Just a thought if the price is not in your budget and no hassle APPLE compatibility is important.
Are there any picture quality advantages when a monitor is a standalone vs. built into the machine like the all in one iMac? I have a 2015 5K iMac that's getting up there. Would I notice improved image quality from the Studio Display? Yes, I know on paper they have the exact same resolution, but there can be other factors too. Like one thing I've never liked: the antiglare coating creates a slightly fuzzy image especially in daylight. AT least I think it's the antiglare coating doing it.
Dell 43” works out of the box every time.
Living in Canada, I paid $2,200 for mine, no regrets in the purchuse.. Colour accuracy, sound production brightness for video editing superb.

@@MaxStArlyn See I don't do print, so its fine for me. Since I moved to this monitor, my clients have been saying they're liking the colour grades more.
@@BrownGuyMadeIT Ok 👍.. that’s why I said photographic printing. Butcher having said that, for the money you pay for it I would have expected Adobe RGB as well. But if you don’t ever have to calibrate for photographic printing, there is no problem.
@@MaxStArlyn Exactly, that, don't get me wrong I do photography as well but tbh I edit all my photos on my iPad and If I do print it's in B&W to go along with the colour scheme in my studio. 9:45 okay so, it is not just my eyes right? That “factory calibrated p3 wide color” thing makes all the Apple products screens DO look same, unlike the other ones, right?
many other monitors also "just works" with macs (Lg 4k, 5k monitors). I don't who "so many" you are referring to? Not enough improvement over lg 5k which is available for $1k
Hey Jerry, out of curiosity, do you personally think the Studio Display is worth it over a less sharp but high refresh rate option like the Eve Spectrum? I'm spoiled by Promotion on the Apple portable devices and I feel like trading in some sharpness for that smoother experience. Saving several hundreds of dollars is also a nice bonus as well. Thanks Jerry!

I appreciate the comment. It really is an amazing over all display. Not the best in any single category except for 5k. All together fantastic.
Nice to have a camera on the display, but many of us would use the one on our MB Pro 14/16 assuming we are not in clamshell mode. So I can understand why Apple wasn’t too bothered, though looking at it, not as bad as some webcams I have seen lately (Dell XPS 13 Plus for example).
As for no higher refresh, I know that 5K 120Hz does not exist at the moment so no surprise there, but hopefully this will arrive in a couple of years when this is refreshed.
Yeah this is for a specific niche demographic, those wanting 5K and there are limited options here. Apple knows that just making yet another 4K display in a market swamped with them would be dumb, so have pushed higher quality to their users and I think the detractors misses this salient point. My Apple Display is still working and is well over 10 years old so this will be a great longterm investment for creators and as it is 5K will be future-proofed for some years. As for HDR, hopefully Apple is going to release another higher grade inbetween model for around $2700, and with the sales being surprisingly good, that may be more likely than not.
Expensive compared to 4K monitors but that was the point, make something that Samsung and others do not make (apart from LG and their model is a bit older). Def worth it for prosumers.
To be honest know one cares about each others camera quality. Ive been in so many zoom meetings and not once have I cared about others camera quality.
The thing that bothers me the most is the refresh rate. 60hz for a premium monitor is not cutting it. I have a dual monitor set up and my second Monitor is running at 144hz and the difference is so drastic. moving apps around and moving the cursor around on the studio display feels so disgusting.
@@dutyrover946 I agree with the camera quality; just YT makes such a fuss about it, I assumed it was very important. De facto, the mic is what really matters.
As for the refresh rate on the Studio, that display is aimed at creators, and most do not need more than 60Hz. If you game or are in a habit of moving windows around (mine are all fixed to a desktop, and I never do that), then buy a display with a higher refresh, this is not for you!
I bought both of Studio Display and Pro Display XDR, the Studio Display was not better, actually it's worse. For instance, when you play some videos that have black background, Studio display is actually not that black, it is dark grey, you can clearly see the monitor's black frame is darker than the video's background. Pro Display XDR has no this problem. I compared Studio Display with my 2019 iMac 27, they had the same issue. I had to return the Studio Display. XDR is way better, size, quality. Of course it's also way more expensive.
A $5,000 display is better than a $1,500 display? Shocking
@@gabedamien What shocking is someone says the $1,500 display is the best! So, $5,000 is better than the best, if that's what you mean.
Of course the Pro Display XDR is leagues better than the Studio Display. 😆 They’re in completely different leagues, and targeted to completely different users. The studio display will have more gray in areas that should be black since it’s a traditional LED panel, whereas the XDR display is a true HDR panel, gets 2.5 times brighter than the Studio Display, has local dimming zones for better black uniformity, better contrast, etc. It also costs about four times the price as the Studio Display. I know you know this since you had purchased both; but this has been common knowledge to the masses for the last year or two, lol.
Today I bought an Insta360 Link webcam to fix the camera issues with my Studio Display.
Amazon has a sale on the display for $1325
Yes they do! You can use my link in the description 🙏
@Jazz 16 Yes to all
Yes, it's very important to emphasize that it's the best FOR MAC. But that also is changing. Especially when looking into screens, not build quality because this is by far the area Apple is shaming others :D
I had no Idea the the problems yyou hare referred you’ve referred to you have referred to are so pervaded so are so pervasive. In the end, I’m confused.
Yeah. I keep trying but I still can’t justify this display lol
No pro-motion, and at the least no app control for the brightness and volume on iPhone?? I can’t believe people are buying this.
Valid concern for iPad.
At $1,999 for the display and height adjustable stand you can get the base 14" MacBook Pro with a display and webcam that destroys what the Studio display has. You can settle for, "The best display for a Mac," or you can just buy an actual Mac.
The should add a M2 instead of the A13 inside and call it an iMac. Than the price is absolutely fine....
