This is nice in theory, but what makes it unusable is that it uses RGB additive color mixing. Try mixing blue and yellow and you will get a gray--not green. This is the most obvious example, but other color mixes are off or muted. Use the color picker and color theory to get around this. Now, it's possible to get natural color mixing in the RGB color gamut. Rebelle painting software uses "pigments" to create natural colors. You get green when you mix blue and yellow. It's very close to actually mixing oil paint or watercolor.
I think they are planning on adding some level of realistic pigment mixing in version 2, its mentioned in their future plans. I wasnt gonna buy 2 anytime soon, but if thats going to be a feature I might have to rethink it
@@JackTheVulture I hope so as realistic color mixing improves painting--substantially. Honestly, I'm not big into simulating traditional media digitally. I do traditional media like watercolor for that, but I do want colors to mix properly.
Question, where did you get the standard color set option?
Been meaning to find it.
I love the way CSP blends the colors. Mixing colors work like a charm by adjusting Amount of Paint, Density of Paint and Brush Density etc. I just don't have this tool under Window : ( ... I can't find it !!!
Is there an option to export the mix windows like an image pallete?
When will CSP support multicore? Big Brush Size is really lag!
