Hello everyone! In this week's video, I am giving some tips for picking colors. I talk a bit about color theory and show some easy ways to make colors feel cohesive in Clip Studio Paint.

Yeah, I was very nitpicky about color concept and didn't like having the same colors on the same characters, but now I feel like it would actually make the characters in a background feel really busy.
When i color my drawings i look like im colorblind-

(8:30) To anyone using Medibang, to do this:
- Make a new layer on top of all your colouring
- Colour the whole thing black (you can easily do this by setting the bucket tool to layer rather than canvas and just paint bucketing)
- Set layer to 'Colour'
- Whenever the layer is on everything undearneath the layer will be greyscale so you can check your values
(Hopefully this was of help to someone :D)
Is this same as Ibis paint?

Silvanniah 025 i think you can with the “grayscale” feature on filters tool
For anybody using Firealpaca, to do the same thing as the above:
-Make a new folder
-Put coloring layers in folder
-Make new layer, put on top of the folder.
-Use the bucket tool (LAYER) and fill the layer in.
-Press "Clipping"

That part near the end about how to make colors that don't look so good work together better was great! I have a lot of characters who wear the same uniform (a bright orange jumpsuit, too), so a lot of them look very... clashing. XD So those tips on making the whole picture more cohesive were fantastic!
Hey, this helped me a lot, thank you. I always pick very saturated colors for my palette so I need to remember to tone it down. Picking only one color to be saturated is like asking a parent who their favorite child is!
Words can't express how much of a lifesaver this video is! I have been looking through dozens of color theory and color palete videos and while I was able to understand some of it it still didn't fully click. This video is the opposite.
