And then hoppy's responded to a comment in this comment section saying that we don't recommend it for semi-automatic weapons. So why the hell is Jerry using it on a semi-automatic weapon. Apparently it's because the foam can Gunk up the gas tube, if that's true why would Jerry risk getting a malfunction by using this product during a competition 💀

Had an Outers foaming bore cleaner loose all its air. Hoppes apparently took over and rebranded it. It doesn’t seem to do as good of a job as the Outers version. I have to let my gun soak ALOT longer to get a little copper fouling out vs the old Outers version. It does work but you have to first scrub the barrel a good 20 times with a bore brush, then a few patches to clean the mess. Afterwards spray foam in and wait an hour or more. I then spray another round of foam in and wait another 45 minutes. I thin repeat with foam again and wait another half hour or more and wipe it all out with dry patches. I had a lee enfield that took 3 days on non stop foaming to come out copper free.

Yes, he was over at Lucas and now with Hoppes. He probably just uses motor oil given the volumne he shoots and using these products that much would not be beneficial.

Can this product be used on an AR-15 or not? It says not to use on gas operated guns yet the guy in the video is using it on a AR-15?
It corrodes aluminum so I wouldn't recommend it. Also it strips all the oil, so it results in rust in hard to reach places.
