We really appreciate you liking our work, but we wanted to clear some thing up here: Skulldudes is an AU fan comic and is no way official. The characters are humanized version of the parasites, living weapons, and magical items in the Skullgirls Universe- not gender swaps of the Skullgirls cast.

Yeah, I was also thinking it was gender swap of the characters, but the humanized parasites stuff seems better.
I wish it could be a continuation of the Skullgirls game.

I kinda like the implication that the final boss would be the Skull Heart itself, since it's a parasitic entity attached to one of the main fighters.
I was expecting something generic, like gender-bending girls into dudes, but i am pleasantly surprised. I love the designs, they fit pretty well on the universe of SG.

@@camilafrancadematos4437 more like a spin off or tangent. In fact that was the point of this concept as in this story Venus was board of the skullgirls format and asked Aeon to find a new game. And Aeon literally pulled the skulldudes concept out of her hair pocket.

@@_TO1_ So basically a prequel, that could work. Like this was their true form before the trinity cursed them into forms that require a host to function as punishment for their rebellion. If they don't they will be muted knickknacks left to rot.

Actually if you look at Annie's stage there is Skulldudes' Sagan!! I was screaming when I noticed that lol, oh and Wiirdo & Pasteldot ( i think? ) aka the Skulldudes authors are working on the official Skullgirls webtoon!

@@thetrickster1255 a person on the internet made a character concept and one of the devs made a sketch of the character. Eventually, Lab Zero made it so that there was a rare chance that Parasoul would refer to this character by name, but when the original creator of the OC found out, he tried to file for compensation. This is so incredibly underrated omg I literally had to play it on x0.25 bc I had to appreciate EVERY SINGLE FRAME of this masterpiece, I love it so much

So this is basically a Skullgirls/Soul Eater crossover with the Skulldudes being the Weapons and the girls being their Meisters.
Avery literally grants demi-god powers to peacock so i really want to know what it's capable of by itself
Anthro parasites is a pretty clever concept here that didn't lean too much towards reversing genders to begin with.

Sekmhet is clearly a girl and Hungern is obviously a boy considering how Umbrella uses 'he/him' whenever talking about him.
Eyelashes aren't feminine, everyone has them.
The idea of the life gem being a child makes a lot of sense since it gives immortality and eternal life meaning that since it’s creation/formation it hasn’t aged a bit.

I only found out about Skullgirls one or two years ago, but it's nice to know that the fandom of that underrated gem is still alive. Great work! The character designs are so diverse, and they totally fit Skullgirls' art style. :D

This may not be canon from Lab Zero Games, but it's just wonderful.
All these humanized desings of the Parasites, Living Weapons and Magical Items killed me in a way I can't just explain. Leviathan, Hungern and Buer Drive are, literally, my most favorites. I don't know if Sekhmet also could be, even if she's female, but I also like her a lot.
For now, I just saw some comic-shots and half of Avery's story, but still. Great job, guys.
My favorites are Gae Bolga, Buer Drive (idrk if they're their own separate characters or one. I feel like it's the second one), and Sekmhet. They just look so good😭♥️
It’s like a whole AU like with Deltarune and Undertale. Or a literal continuation a few years after the last Skullgirl
Im gonna assume some of theses characters are gonna play like the skull girls a bit, mainly like life gem can slightly play like ms.Fortune.
Maybe with some differences, or maybe huge differences, for example, we'd see Samson have his moveset look more wild then being controlled by Filia, morphing his limbs into weapons and such

I really am interested in this project of yours. Literally humanizing the parasites, and living weapons is an interesting take on the franchise. Funny you say that, because one of them IS part of skullgirls. You can see Sagan's design in Annie's fighting stage (all the way to the left side)

Interestingly enough this design of Sagan actually appears in the game in studio 21 AKA annies stage you can only see it when annie and Sagan aren't in play though and its only on the left side of the stage but he is there

Just know that this isn’t a genderbent AU lots of people are under this impression. It’s a retelling of skullgirls but with focus put on the personified parasites and living weapons.

honestly if they did ever make a dominantly male roster of characters they’d probably make it the characters more provocative and intimidating so it could be an exact counterpart/be more cohesive with the the female characters; which are super sexualized and badass.

Because I had to look up a few of these, I figured I'd do future watchers of this a favor for names/faces they may not recognize; not everyone's quite as known as Sampson or Leviathan, after all....
Sampson - Filia's Parasite; her attack 'hair'.
Vise-Versa - Cerebella's Living Weapon; the 'hat' she spins on with the two beefy arms.
Avery - Synthetic Parasite, the 'Avery Unit' attached to Peacock, and the means in which she has the multitude of toony weapons.
Krieg - Living Weapon of Parasoul's, able to shed tears of napalm.
Hungern - Living Weapon of Umbrella, Parasoul's sister, who possesses an insatiable appetite
Leviathan - Squigly's Parasite and the reason she's not a mindless zombie; he's also been a part of the family for years, and has a history with Sampson.
Gae Bolga and Buer Drive - Painwheel's Synthetic parasites, the former (Gae Bolga Matrix) is what lets her jut out spikes from wherever, and the later is the blade and spine-like length on Painwheel's back.
Life Gem - Neither weapon or parasite, this gem's more Phliospher's Stone and the entire reason Ms Fortune is alive (and can do the weird stuff she does, like juggle her own head)
Sagan - Parasite of Annie, this rabbit is a remote parasite and has Annie's eye in its mouth.
Sekmet - Parasite of Eliza, and kinda why they're all known as Parasites after what those two did in the past; she's also why, when supplied with more blood, Eliza's forever a knockout.
Andy Anvil & Tommy Ten-Tons - Part of the Avery Unit's summoned gang of help for Peacock.
Bee & Tara - The reasons for this list. They're the synthetic parasites for Hive and Leduc respectively, being the Beezle Bomb and Taranis Generator. Neither character is playable, but both are part of the Lab 8 Anti-Skullgirl group; that same lab is responsible for both the Avery Unit and Argus System for Peacock, and Big Band's musical life suit.
Fun fact I learned doing this -- Parasoul and Umbrella's weapons are named for two of the four Horsemen, War and Famine respectively (and why the former uses a powerful weapon of war in Napalm, and the later wants to bite/eat everything)
