I know Fukua is supposed to be a joke character but I like the way the devs are dealing with her in the game's story. Marie constantly says that Fukua is strange (different from other characters) and is outside the fate "they orchestrated", which means she wasn't supposed to exist at all. That brings some interesting theories, like: if she isn't bound by fate, does that mean she is the only one who can change everything? We don't see Fukua much in the characters stories because each story is fate and she just doesn't play along? If all characters are just puppets in a fighting game made by the goddesses, Fukua is the only one who can break the fourth wall and stop them?
She actually does appear in Dahlia's story where she tries warning the others about what's really going on but she kept getting cut off by everyone. Maybe they're teasing her having more importance and we'll see it come to fruition in Marie's campaign?
Although I love Marie trying to get an autograph for Patricia, I do wish there was a second dialogue line of her mentioning Annie’s mother, like she has for Parasoul and Squigly.
God her interactions with beo are so wholesome, it's like she gets a brief moment of clarity and turns to a regular girl again who's excited to meet her favorite tv celebrity. She also asks for the autograph of Annie but with beo you can can clearly hear her illusion and innocence. Well, to be honest, these quotes just show that Playable Marie is her after being defeated and the Skull Heart was destroyed (again) and the heart would only return in seven years. However, a small fragment of the Skull Heart was still attached to Marie's corpse and it is because of this, as well as other possible factors such as Marie's willpower and the nature of her desire that it was for her to be strong enough to protect her friend Patricia (Pearlock) who made Marie revive herself now free from the Skull Heart's influence and being able to use its powers (albeit reduced) to try to fix the things she did in her quest for revenge, as well as warning the other girls and women to give up the search for the Skull Heart and the terrible curse it carries and its creator (The Mother) who wants to destroy the entire world.
