How to give your doll bangs Ever After High

- Hey all :) In this video I show you how to give your doll bangs using the existing factory rooted hair, or your own rerooted ooak doll. This is the method used in Major Toy Companies, and IT WORKS!
This method can be used on most plastic rooted dolls like Monster High, Ever After High, Bratz, Barbie, Disney, Star Darlings.. etc..
TIP: Be sure the the hair is properly heatset in bowl of hot water OR in your oven (on WARMING setting only!!) and placed in freezer to completely cool off prior to removing heat setting strip.

* All doll reroots that you can see in my videos are done with an industrial machine. This machine is for professional use only - only trained professionals are allowed to operate it. It takes years of training and practice to master using it. The machine is not available to the general public and can be found only in toy companies. I did my training on this machine during my employment at MATTEL. It was given to me by one of my clients in order to use it for prototype making, which is my primary job title - Product Development.

This absolutely works. I don't remove the head from the doll and I don't put her in the freezer. I just use a disposable plastic bowl to soak the head in boiled water and a bowl full of ice immediately after the boiled water. I don't put her in the freezer. I did follow these instructions but altered it to fit my abilities. Thanx for the instructions.

I started rerooting my dolls way back in the 70s. With no way to know what others did, my fix was to aim the steam from an ordinary clothes iron directly at the combed down hair. Good to know a different method. 😊

I've spent many pots of boiling water and time trying to straighten my dolls hair and make it flat to their heads after re rooting. Each time was only semi successful. This tutorial has changed my life!! Not only did my dolls hair lay flat after only 20 minutes of time, I used hardly any water and didn't have to wait hours for her hair to dry!! You are an amazingly talented person and I appreciate your tutorials so much!! Thank you!!

I used this method to relax my monster high doll's hair, Robecca Steam, who had frizz galore and super puffy hair. After dampening, brushing down and wrapping her hair tight to her head, I submerged her in a plastic bag under super hot water and put her in the freezer for the 10 mins each as in the video and it worked! I wish I took before and after photos! I was even able to trim her uneven hairs to complete her style. She's a whole new doll! Thank you Denisa!!!

Thank for this tutorial. I have a doll on whom I did cut bangs. I cut the hair first and then tried heat setting it. Your way actually seems easier. I'll definitely be trying this soon. Thank you for sharing.

This helped me not only with hair style but others as well. I thought you always have to dip the hair in hot water to set the hair, but I guess not. I have success with this method then with any other. :)

Ooooo! I like this technique. A little different to what I've seen before.

This doesn't work for repaited dolls, because it will crack the paint. This only works for factory made dolls. If you are looking to style your doll repaint, just use hot and cold water tp set the hair, let it dry and than repaint the doll. It is a great video by the way
