I don't pick the hairs out with tweezers, I use the tweezers on the inside of the head to scrape the glue off starting next to the ear. I found this works well and I get one head done in about 30 minutes. Just pull the glue and hair through the hole in her head. Doing it this way also means all the old horrible glue is out and the heads 100% ready for new hair. I also find if you heat the head uder hot water the glue softens as does the plastic head and is easier to work with.
Thank you for the tip!! I'll definitely try it on my next reroot!
+I'm Lilly Jae. Thanks for the tips both of you and I can use the information to make my own custom monster high doll now!Thank you!

Where do you buy your doll rerooting Hair? :)
@@pianeko974 etsy has a lot of options and beginner kits!
Oh my lord the mulan part was life đđ
+Toto Monocle YASS! hahaha đđđ
+Toto Monocle I know I laughed a little too hard at that part XDD!!
+DisneyBoy21 can you do a video of how to put bangs on your doll
IKR HAHAHA
Toto Monocle I onew this part was going to kill usđđ€Ł
DON'T PULL IT FROM THE OUTSIDE! it rips the holes đš use pointy pliers and pull it from inside the head, way less damaging
Yeah,that is much much safer
You did a fantastic job rerooting your Cleo! This is truly how Cleo's hair should have been done. The tinsel always looked so tacky. Now she's beautiful, thanks to you and your amazing rerooting skills. Thank you so much for sharing! Cheers!
+dca01 Oh yes! God I hate those awful tinsels. Always annoys me haha
and thank you so much for your kind words!
+DisneyBoy21 - Hope you had a very Happy New Year! Wishing you all the best for 2016! :)
Best advice: Use a hair dryer or hot water to remove the head. Use needle nose pliers to remove it from inside the head. This makes it easier for me đ
That Mulan part killed me!!!! LMFAO!!! XD I'm really amazed by how well you rerooted her hair, considering it's your first time doing it. I also love how you stayed consistent with her previous hair style, but gave it a lot more spice. ;) Definitely gonna try this someday! I have a lot of dolls asking for new hair lol! Great job as always DisneyBoy! :D
+Aggressive Barbie Hahaha! That moment you have to go to war to save your dad but hair still needs to be on fleek! LMAO!! XD This was my 1st time, so I decided to do something straight forward and you know me with my obsession to make things accurate to the shows haha Can't wait to see what new hair your dollies will get! :3
She looks great! God I wanna re root a doll aha!
+Neighthan Rot you should! its fun!
I know this was posted 1.5 years ago, but I wanted to say that the blend of hair you picked out for her is perfect! The yellow is perfect as well đ
Me reading comments before watching the full video: whats so funny about Mulan-
Me after seeing that part: *falls over laughing*
+Momo Miya hahaha you were probably like what does Mulan have to do with this
***** Yes I was XD
That Mulan part đ I love her hair! If you don't mind me asking where did you get the rerooting tool?
+Dolllover19 dollyhair might sell them. I'm going to check it out. Too bad he only did one re-root. It seems to be much faster than the knot method.
+evimlck thanks!
hey mad it with a needle and a knife holder
Dollightful has a tutorial of how to make a rerouting tool
Perfect * 0 *
Awesome!!!! I loved it! You're amazing! :D
+Grace Watts thank you! :D
She looks amazing! You did a fantastic job :)
+Rioakafoar thanks so much! :)
You are one of my favorite doll youtuber in the entire community! Your work is always amazing and you're very funny and nice! Also your voice is so good to hear! Greetings from Italy!! :DD
+MicksHardy Thank you so much!! ^_^ You are too kind! :D
Hello to you in Italy! Hope you have a great day! :3
She turned out so prettyÂĄ
Great job đđđ
+Bestdistroller Petpony thank you!
I can testify that you are not exaggerating about the pain in your hands! I have done reroots twice before using the knot method on vintage 1970's dolls that belonged to my mother so had to thread a needle through each individual hair plug on the dolls head and pull it through... not an experience I want to go through again anytime soon! You did a fantastic job, always enjoy watching your videos :)
+Cian Fenton Thank you! haha and wow, the knot method takes much more effort and time! bravo!
Who else died when he but her head in a glue top đ
I couldn't stop laughing either
I thought that was funny
great! you're really talented person. I like new hair of your Cleo.
+ĐĐžĐœĐ° ĐĐŸĐ»ŃĐœĐžĐœĐ° You're too nice, thanks so much!
LOVED the part with the Mulan picture XD i broke there it was tooooo funny! she looks so pretty with her new hair
+Dani slagter Hahaha I was laughing while I was editing the video too! XD Oh yes, The tinsels annoy me so much too! LOL They're always in the way. I wish I had gotten a lighter blonde for the tinsels part but I love they way she turned out. and Thank you so much!
I know you wanted a brighter yellow, but I think that her hair is absolutely perfect the way it is! The color is absolutely fabulous and you did such an awesome job!
+Nichole Joslin Thank you so much! :3
Wow! I'm amazed every time.
+marisol hernandez Thank you so much dear! :D
You did awesome for your first reroot. Looking forward to see another one.

yes, you totally should! :D
good jod on the reroot i love revamping dolls
+Ariel Forbes thank you!
OMG you did so good, she looks just like she does in the webisodes
I thought it was very clever of you to use the glue bottle as a stand. Well done! I bought a mermaid "Barbie" from the Dollar Tree to try to reroot. This is such a great way to relax! It is such a creative hobby. The possibilities are ENDLESS!!! Happy Crafting!
you are so patient and amazing! Wow!
3:00 when Life comes at you
Idk if you already know about this technique but instead of doing the tweezers to take the hair out you can just put a scissor inside the head and scrape the glue part I've done it it works very well and fast
Great job, man! The colors that you picked work extremely well together. You make me want to reroot a Cleo, too but I gotta do a Lagoona first. She will be my fourth reroot. :D
+NoodleMore Thank you so much! :D I wanted a really bright yellow to represent her tinsels since I hate tinsels haha but I guess this worked out great as well! :) Oh I can't wait to see your Lagoona! and your reroots are amazing! I love seeing your boys with long hair!
+DisneyBoy21 Oh, thanks! :D
How much hair do you need for monster high?
She's looking Fab xx
You did an effin good job man! Her hair looks fantastic!
+Sonya Mistdawn thank you so much!
+DisneyBoy21 where did you get the hair from

+DeadDollies 14 thanks so much! :D
+DisneyBoy21 np she gorgeous and thx for the tips XD
amazing work! and your first time? great job!
+Devin Loucks Thank you so much! :)
Wow! Cleo look so goodđđGreat Job! If you are going to reroot a doll again, try to take of the hair from the inside of her head, not from the outsideđ (that goes much easier) And I have a question, where did u got the hair from?? Sorry if you mentioned it in the video...đThank you!
Omg why didn't I expect that Milan reference XD love ya!
I still can't get over the Mulan partđđđ
+Sweetpich Berry Hahaha You better get over it soon or else You'd be late for your war! XD
+DisneyBoy21 lol
I got nervous watching u cutting her hair! She looks amazing!
another good way I like to get the hair out of the inside of the dolls head is if you have a very small crotchet hook! it hooks right onto the hair and pulls it out. much easier and quicker than trying to pluck out each plug one by one :)
It looks awesome!
+dirtypoptoxic thank you!
You did a AWESOME job , Nice đđ
I love her!! She is better than the real original Cleo doll.
+Sharon Martinez thank you!
Wow, she looks so amazing! Great hairstyle!
+Jenny Nevers thanks so much! :)
My niece cut draculauraâs bangs off and now Iâm making her Akita neru
She looked like a Bratz doll without bangs!đâđđ
The rerooting tool is amazing! I didn't had a tool so I rerooted my MLP doll with a needle and thread. I need to invest in one if I want to continue to reroot doll's hair.
+Luna Wynters Haha you should! its fun!
the lengths you go to for cartoon accuracy LOL
+Tabi Kat7 I have a problem LOL
I know this video is quite old now so you've probably refined your technique, but I thought I'd offer this advice:
I find it's much better to remove the hair by going through the inside of the head with tweezers or, preferably, long nose angled pliers. Long nose angled pliers let you get everywhere inside the head and have gripping teeth to help pull out any stubborn glued parts.
I only ever pull from the outside if I get stubborn single hairs I can't find on the inside of the head. I know it's harder with dolls due to the smaller neck holes (I mostly do MLPs, but I do dolls as well) but it's much easier on your hands over all (especially with the pliers). Before removing the hair you should also soak the entire head in a bowl of hot water to soften all the glue and make the hair clump together so you don't get a million hairs flying all over the place when you rear it out. It also softens the plastic, which again helps with removing the hair.
I get my hair from the same supplier as you, I can tell by the names of the colours. Their hair is excellent, they use the same supplier as mattel.
She came out so pretty ! đ
AMAZING
+ĐОга ĐĐłĐŸŃĐŸĐČ Thank you so much! :)
Instead of plucking out individual hair you could scrape the tweezers along the inside of the head, it removes the glue and the hair :D
She looks so goood!!
I've watched so many of your video's and I am in awe of your skills!! Can you tell me where you buy your hair from? I am having a hard time finding hair that I really like and that I can order multiple colours :) thanks a bunch.
Lol when you showed us your progress I was like "LION?!" Lol it looked like a lion XD đ
+pinkdog12 34 hahaha
Love it ! I'm too scared to try this on one of my dolls Hehe :P
+Monsterhigh 15 thanks! haha I was scared too, that's why I got an already damaged doll haha :P
You did a great job! It's so pretty! :)
+Clubul PÄpuÈilor Thank you! :3
I laughed so hard when Cleo's face was on Mulan's body XD
Wow that's amazing! O.O
damn that's a lot of hair
Talk about Doll rescueđđđđ
Woah wait. What tool did you just use for the hair? And where can you buy doll hair to re root?! Beautifully done btw!
Lianna Levi you can buy doll hair and a rerooting till at Dollyhair.com
Some things I've noticed about rerooting on other people's tutorials that might be useful to you:
- Some people heat their dolls up in a warm oven to make the plastic softer, and thus makes the head easier to remove.
- There's glue holding the roots in place on the inside of the doll's head, so scraping that off might make for easier removal, and preheating the doll might make the glue itself softer.
- Some people also go to pull out the doll's roots from the inside of the head.
I haven't done this myself, so please take it with a grain of salt, but this does seem to make things a lot easier for rerooting. :) You did a beautiful job with Cleo though! I love the colors you picked out for her new hair!
+Paradoxical Intention Thank you! I've taken note of your tips! Everyone has different ways of doing it but let's see what suits me best :)
***** That's the best way to go about it, I think. :3
Just try stuff out and see what works for you the way you want.
she looks so Pretty!!!!!!! and how you made that MULAN part XD
Well Done! You make me want to re-root my Nefera too. I hate the tinsil :
Super cute!
Ok I know it's been a while but do you put the glue first then pour hot water(after glue dries ofcourse) or do you pour the hot water first let hair dry then add glue? I hope you see this because none of the videos I see explain if the glue comes before or after. THANK YOU LOVE your VIDEOS
Looks really good
my first reroot experience the method i used to take the head off was easy, all you do is:
1) secure a baggy around your dolls head
2) fill up a cup with water from your sink on the hottest temperature
3) place doll head first into cup
3) wait a couple minutes beofre taking it out
4)remove from water and take off plastic bag
and then it should just slide right off x3
(I feel so much like a noob rn xD)
were did you get the re root tool
Wow! I'll need to learn soon haha
+Oki-J (Jamie) Its fun! You should! and hey we have the same name! haha
Your so funny! I laughed so hard at the mulan part đ
You should pull the hair with the tweezers from inside the head because the glue will also come off easier that way ;)
That would be a good tip
omg I can't even tell it was rerooted it looks so natural on her
+Dylan Adrianna Jackson thanks so much!
I loved the Milan part it was so funny at first I was like omg I wish I had Facebook so I could post this and at the end I was like omg I loved it so funny lol
+Chey I think hapmsters are cute Dietrich haha thanks!

+Joo KĂČY Thanks!!!!! :)
