One of the best parts about Lumity is, in my opinion, not that they’re gay: but because they get together midway through the show and we get time to see them loving each other and communicating as a mostly functional couple. So many shows wait until the finale for the get together and, if there’s anything after that, either have the couple break down or separate them off screen for drama. Luz and Amity, on the other hand, get to actually exist as both individuals and a couple in the show. It’s refreshing.

Yes! I loved seeing two young adults do the best they can to communicate healthily and understand each other's needs. Having a kids show displaying a relationship functioning past the "they got together and now the story's over!" helps so much to educate kids on real relationships. Disney is known for the happily ever after of prince and princess kiss and the rest comes after the credits, so Lumity was a much needed contrast to stories that came before.

You guys remember when we used to think Amity's abominations from her debut episodes were powerful? like TOH really took the time to show each characters growth both physically and mentally which is why I love it so much.

I believe Huntlow would probably have gotten more time to become fleshed out, and was probably intended since season 2. But because of Disney, Dana had to prioritize time. At least Lumity got time to be fleshed out, and they got together officially before the finale of the final season.
I feel like Hunter needs to learn who he is as an individual and not just a Caleb clone or Golden Guard before he should get a romantic relationship arc. Everything about his identity is broken, he doesn’t know who he is. It’s like Roxas, moving past having being Sora’s Nobody and figuring out what makes Roxas Roxas is more important than pairing him up with Xion (which given she’s a Replica of him is awkward territory) or Namine (there is a better case there as her Somebody is Sora’s love interest).
@@jbcatz5 you’re right but keep in mind that season 3 was canceled and shortened. There’s probably a lot of things that would have needed a full season 3 to be flushed out instead it’s going to be rushed.

I heard on some anonymous thread that "Starco" was artificially split apart until the the end of the final season because its crew didn't expect another two seasons after Battle for Mewni, so they wanted an excuse to keep them from becoming a couple "too early."
I disagree that Willow and Gus didnt need to be expelled in escaping expulsion. I think Luz would have been sad if she were kicked out herself, but willow and gus needed to get dragged into it to kick her into making it about helping them.
I feel the reason Amity was immediately like "OMG HER" after grom was because of their dance. Idk about you but after that dance I would also have problems keeping a straight face or a straight persona around said crush.
It is easy to ignore what you want until you have a taste of it.

5:10 One headcanon/fanon is that, considering Amity wears a scrying stone necklace until Season 2, being properly friendly to Willow risks Odalia turning the full might of Blight Industries against Willow and her family. (And in Season 2, the Blights gain the personal attention of the Emperor's Coven, at the time that Belos had the Owl House crew and by extension Luz' friends had a strict non-interference policy, because he needed Luz and Lilith to complete the time loop)
The way explained Amity's love and affection towards Luz is exactly how I saw it. Instead of being herself Amity was forced to act a certain way because of her parents. Specifically and especially Odalia. Both Botsha and Skara aren't technically her friends because they like her or anything. Amity was forced to socialize with them. Luz is the only one who liked Amity for who she was on the inside. Causing Amity to have falling in love and developing feelings for her. Yes they could have taken a few more episodes diving into this and explain it a little bit more but all in all I'd say that Amity is the most realistic mean girl trope to have ever gotten a redemption.

When we learned that Amity’s original necklace that she wore EVERYWHERE gave her mother a telepathic connection to her, it had me wondering if that was why she acted like a bully in the beginning. Odalia is BIG one everyone of what she sees as there “place” in society and being how she’s obviously trying to groom her daughter to do the same and obviously HATES Willow, she probably put pressure on Amity. She has an idea of how Amity should and shouldn’t act, so Amity may have been scared of her finding out she didn’t act then”right” way. Especially if my theory about the necklace is true and she could somehow use it to see what Amity’s doing or go through Amity’s memories. Heck, she may even have Boscha or someone reporting to her about Amity’s behavior.
Which is also why I think Amity was so obsessed with getting her badge back. Odalia is obsessed with image and her child being seen as “the best.” Amity obviously likes school for the learning, so if Odalia’s attitude wasn’t part of the equation, yes she would still get very good grades, but she would also most likely not care if it got her any awards. She’s there to learn new things about magic and the world around her, not make a statement. But that’s what ODALIA wants, to use her child to make a statement. So I think the awards and accolades Amity obsesses over aren’t HER observation, but ODALIA’S. When she lost her badge not only to CHEATERS, but to WILLOW of all people (again, the person her mom seems to hate because of their past friendship), she was probably terrified of how her mom reacted. We see the world through the main characters’ eyes. I’m sure if we saw the scene again from AMITY’S perspective, she wouldn’t look angry and unhinged, but scared out of her mind. I think A LOT of Amity’s first impression on us was her being the perfect little puppet her mom molded her to be. But Luz not giving up on her and continuously reaching out to her made Amity realize she could be her own person. That there was nothing wrong with being a quiet bookworm who liked to occasionally go one adventures with her friends and fall in love with the person who saved her from the dark, lonely place she was in before.
And Amity suddenly becoming so shy and nervous around Luz seemed pretty natural to me. She was coming to accept she liked Luz, which was why she wanted to ask her out. Then Luz unknowingly friend-zoned her by asking her to Grom as a friend. Now, Amity thinks Luz can never see her as more than a friend and since Luz was her first real friend since Willow and basically her only buoy keeping her from drowning in that same sadness and loneliness she felt before (until she meds her relationship with Willow, because they had only JUST started working on it at that point). So I think she was terrified of scaring Luz off. She also gives off some ND vibes (idk why, I can’t say that there was one incident that made me think “girl seems autistic) but being ND myself, I just get this ”one of us” kind of feeling from her, but maybe that’s just wishful thinking). So stress over how Luz may react and navigating these new, unknown feelings maybe be difficult for her in general. She doesn’t seem to do good with expressing how she feels unless it’s a strong feeling like the big, adorable, goofy grin when Luz asked her out or how she just broke down and cried in Reaching Out when Luz’s lie and the stress of her father became too much for her. She can show her emotions, she can say “I fell xyz” but she seems to have a harder time doing so than the other characters. So even if she isn’t ND, she definitely struggles with her emotions, most likely from her upbringing. Plus, a lot of kids in school like Amity tend to have some form of autism or other type of neurodivergence. It’s part of why they do so good. (Just a note: this is not true with EVERY autistic/ND person or EVERY student with high grades. It all depends on the individual person and how their diagnosis and school environment effects them. So I’m NOT saying she’s autistic because she’s the top of her class, I’m comparing her to real world information. People with certain forms of autism are good at things like remembering patterns or dates or other information, which makes learning not only less difficult, but also fun for them. A lot of Amity’s interests require memorizing information, such as ingredients to abominations, how to perform spells, and her favorite parts of her favorite books, so I’m just making to correlation between real world information on autism and what I’ve noticed with Amity. But like I said, she’s never done something that can be pointed to as definitive proof that she’s autistic or any other ND. She could just be a child traumatized by her upbringing.)
So I think Amity’s upbringing and mental health played a big role in her first impressions. And that if we saw those first encounters with her the way SHE did, we would have a VERY different opinion of her.

That is really enlightening for me, Amity being autistic is somethint I've never thought of. When Dana revealed Luz is intended to be neurodivergent, I immediately though, "Ohhhh, so she has autism, that's why she's able to act so uniquely, she isn't constrained to the same social restraints. But I don't think I really understand neurodivergence, as that covers a lot of different ways a mind works. Further, it's dawning on me that ADHD is much bigger of a change to a mind than the impression I got. If Luz has ADHD and not any form of autism, then she could be able to have radically different behavior than other people, living these incredible stories. I thought, but wait, she doesn't have social problems, she has a whole group of friends, lacks social anxiety, and can easily form strong, meaningful relationships with other people - but that is subverted by learning Luz hadn't made any friends at her school in the human realm. I am increasingly still thinking Luz does not have what we call autism - neurodivergence is very widereaching, and Luz's mind can be very special, without her being autistic.
Amity, on the other hand, her being autistic feels odd. She's a jock, she has popular friends to whom she interacts with appropriately (as being cold and distant to a certain degree is acceptable, and she even fits in with group behavior as the top girl), she has normal interactions with Willow (at least in their childhood), and generally is able to function, not just well but expectionally in social situations (though that is helped by her being the Valedictorian and Grudgby captain). Honestly, it gives me a lot of happiness to think Amity has autism, because that means people can live full, socially prosperous lives even being neurodivergent like this, and she can say well-recieved and appropriate things in her social interactions while having autism. I think I've gotten used to thinking of being autistic as being a death sentance for having a social life, especially being as popular as Amity was. But, she does show signs of autism, and even well controlled autism still makes a person autistic. I think the only way that might glimpse better at if Amity has autism is her happy childhood with Willow. If Amity was showing any signs during this time, then it might be highly likely that Amity is on the autism spectrum. Omg this theory just makes me so happy, though, thanks for sharing with us ^^
@@blessedandbiwithahintofmagic yeah a lot of autistic people are actually very friendly and social. I sat at the the special education table at lunch throughout most of high school because they were nice kids. They were always super friendly (and made me start wondering if I was autistic because I could see a lot of my own quirks in them). After high school, I started “working” at a place for mentally challenged adults to go during the day and they were all very friendly and social. They had a hard time understanding social cues, but that’s something that if a parent is on top of, it can be learned. I’d say Amity is a high functioning autistic. The kind that their autism makes them seem “gifted” as a child. She’s incredibly smart and talented, but she does have some issues. Her lifetime of abuse would probably have traumatized her into learning how to cover her “quirks” but she seems to let more and more slip the longer she’s with Luz. Like I said, I can’t pinpoint any one incident that shows it definitely but she just gives off a vibe. And for some autistic people, that’s really all they do. Just quirky people who give off a vibe.

Amity has gone through trauma, and trauma can initiate neurdivergent patterns in a mind - given that she also had to hide herself away, yeah... that makes sense. Other people find that I give off an autistic vibe, but I've never liked that idea, becauss autism is always seemed like something that completely ruins your life, utterly destroys your social capacity, and is indication of a life that's not even a life. I really like hearing that Amity might be autistic, because that means autism is not an end of the line, just another challenge to be overcome. ; )
For me, I've seen a lot of people ask why Amity was so mean to Willow in the beginning if the reason she became 'bad' was to protect Willow and/or to appease her parents, despite the fact that Amity and Willow were alone and Amity didn't need to pretend in front of anyone. But the thing is is that people are products of their environments. Idk if this is just my inner psych student talking lmao, but if you grow up in a toxic environment surrounded by mentally abusive and/or neglectful parents, mean/bullying friends, and siblings who don't know the difference between a casual prank and plain old cruelty, no matter how good of a person you are or how strong-willed, it is almost inevitable that you will become corrupted, or even become just as bad as them -- ESPECIALLY if you are as young as Amity was, and already had a pre-existing desire to impress them. So in the beginning I think that Amity being mean was just an act and a way to distance herself from Willow, but over time, she actually did become that person -- which is even sadder, honestly.

I feel it wasn’t that rushed. After their dance they shared that amazing moment. And amity knows her feelings are genuine. And it’s her first crush and after that moment she didn’t know what to do with luz. Therefor she was flustered
The only reason it could feel rushed is because Seeason 3 was cut short because of Disney's SORRY EXCUSES FOR HUMAN BEINGS as execs.

Not much is known but the lead is a teenage lesbian. To quote that teacher from the Incredibles. "Coincidence, I think not!". But that's just my theory cause that's a whole other can of worms I don't need to dig in to.

I think it’s more about Amity trying to figure out how to handle the aftermath of the closest thing to intimacy so far she’d had with someone she likes. She’s flustered, trying to figure out where Luz stands without giving herself away (and doing a terrible job at it). The dance to defeat Grom was two people in sync, joined in something more.
I've loved this video, but I'd like to say that to me the best lumity moment was the one from the alador and amity episode. Like, that scene were luz talk about her father and amity says to her that they'll do that uman stuff make me cry so hard. That was THE moment, to me even better than the kiss( eich is also PERFECT)

I'll be honest, I hesitant of liking Lumnity because I afraid it was going end up like Catdora, Korrasami, and Bumblebee .
But so far, they managed to be wonderful without falling into those pitfalls.
It's just so nice that finally as actual relationship blossom beautifully. Sure, it started out as a trope but managed to bounced off from that to be more unique. We get see Luz and Amity relationship, and overcome many hurdle together.
Out of all the shipping that Disney had to offer and stood among these It was this very special ship and unlike Starco were Disney literally gave the fans what they only to drop everything else In a major disaster on what It Is today (then later on Steven Universe Future, She-Ra (2017), along with a few more others who got It's curse ever since with *OR* without the shipping craze), but then came an unoridnary couple who decided to step In the ring to give us something fresh and new. When you first see this as first viewing; you think this be a complete rehash of Mabel and Pacifica's ark but added an LGBTQ+ crush to the mix to disguise It as Dana's own then copying almost note forgot from her brother's work but the mote episodes I watch I slowly began to Invest the relationship and even rooted at one point once the build up was complete and see the relationship more health and humble rather then doing the typical "teens agure and fight over dumb topic, then make-up with a kiss" with Dan's work with Seddie or "lets literally give the fans what they want and screw telling an epic finale, let's literally give the fans what they want killing off the other shippings" with Starco. As for what they originally they were gonna do with Molly, Andria, and Libby; pray they didn't become a love tranglr or worst then that cause Miraculous proven not to make a relationship with our "main heroes" but e en surpassed and overthrowned Starco themselves when It comes to worst "Worst Shipping Couples" ever!!!
Lumity was the hero Disney needed but, apparently, not the hero it wanted (or deserved).
A great inverse to Yesterday's Lie's Amity driving herself nuts to help Luz dynamic is Reaching Out where Luz drives herself crazy to help Amity win the fight, ignore her father's death and all the other challenges she's facing.
If you think about it, Luz wanted to apologize to Amity from the start but even after that she could feel a growing bond, and liked her as far back as the diary incident which is why she kept trying to make it up to Amity and in her own way keep the promise that she'd made with her mother right before wandering into the Boiling Isles. The knee training definitely shows their budding feelings each other. So in short, the feelings like all things were super subtle at first, but kicked into high gear by Grom because Amity saw Luz as adorable and sweet for letting her fail successfully in asking her out, whether she knew it or not. By season 2, both the relationship and story both had to be kicked into high gear for the eventual feeling powerhouse of season 3's stuff.
Fun fact: the close-up of wormy in that episode was not a butterfly it was a buzzing horsefly.
That made it worse when I found out!

That first scene with Amity confuses me too. In later scenes when Bosha is picking on Willow, it seems clear that Amity isn’t as into it. The only thing I’ve come up with is that she got used to bullying Willow, but never did like it and felt bad when she saw others doing it. Again, this was a kink that could’ve been addressed. In addition, I think there’s an element of the meritocracy mentality that her parents had tried to instill in her. She acted abusive to those around her so she could get the status she needed to impress her parents, and get the self satisfaction she had been taught to obtain through gain. Now that makes me think, her siblings appear to have abandoned that entirely. I feel like they were trying to get their sister to loosen up, even if they ended up crossing lines in doing so.

I am appreciative of you doing this not many people understand the importance of these 2 characters in modern society and they this brings us back the basics of being people and not being judgmental or being a follower of judgment what Disney did to the owl house was wrong and I’m very disappointed in it. Disney like every person around the world was to stop hating and being discriminatory by canceling this show I found there are actual idiots around the world who are offended by a protagonist being bi or gay and that makes me mad. I actually think the pacing in the relationship is good. Usually cartoon episodes just treat the show like "time went by, but it was not that interesting to make an episode out of it" so you just kind of use that time in between to your imagination.
And given that Amity began to blush even harder right after Grom. It makes sense to me, that's if you assumed off screen Amity would do things like think back on what happened.
Plus from what we know about Amity, simply just loving the Azura books, she's a hopeless romantic at heart, her developing a crush on Luz makes sense and is paced pretty well. To me at least

In the show's defense, things that aren't brought up again might have happened offscreen between the characters since the show shows things happen that we don't see on screen (the finish or die thing in Agony of a Witch)
You forgot about the training episode in the snow - Amity and Luz have become friends at this point, Amity even gives Luz advice - but when Luz brings up the idea of an Azura book club Amity seems embarrassed. Luz also discovers her second spell (ice) in this episode and shows herself to be very capable as a witch. This episode may have done more to strengthen their bond.
The "I wonder who it is" then the gasp was at 21:10 was literally me. I guessed that the note was for Luz from the hints in the episode, but I wasn't too sure because of how Disney is about this stuff.
Also, it's interesting how amity likes reading otabin to kids, in the line in the book, I've never had real friends before, kinda reminds me of Amity herself. Maybe to some extent she's a bookworm bc she can relate to the characters like azura and their hard ships, or as an escape from reality and her abuse. just like luz escaped her bullying with azura and other media. Edit: I know amity was friends with willow but that line from otabin is just an example. There's other evidence too.
This is definitely head canon but in my eyes the scene between Willow and Amity is ALL about guilt. Amity probably feels guilty for just dumping Willow out of the blue (because of her parents) which is why she's so needlessly condescending and aggressive toward her, mocking her because she knows she's not good at magic. I personally think Amity didn't WANT Willow to feel any kind of attachment toward her or miss her at ALL so constantly belittled her in hope that what she did when they were kids wouldn't effect her anymore (but as we know it only really made things worse as the inner Willow literally despised Amity) though at the same time it has a little bit of Amity's OWN anger, even if she doesn't want to admit it, Willow not being the best at magic is the reason her parents gave that they couldn't be friends, so all her bullying being aimed TOWARD how shitty of a witch she is and not really of Willow as a person I think Amity in her own way is trying to push Willow to be better through bullying her, which is obviously not the best way to do things but even so that's my view on their relationship before they went into her brain and Amity explained everything.

I find it best to NOT obsess over people’s romantic relationships, both in the real world or in fandom. People are messy and unpredictable, each having a different method to thinking and learning, and that means they all don’t fall into a specific category. With that being said, planning out people’s relationships is a recipe for immense disaster.
However, I also understand why people “ship” characters. They are just fans of the particular media they consume, and they think it’s either fun, cute, or even both. Which is why I accept the people who do “ship” characters: it’s their opinion and they don’t deserve to have someone else’s opinions thrust upon them.
Lumity: the ship Disney needs but doesn’t want.
And doesn't deserve if they won't reinstate the show.
I will never forgive Disney for what they did to the Owl House.

The underrated part of that one episode is realising Hooty had to literally vore Amity to get her there. That's so funny and gross at the same time, once you realise how that must have went down.

I agree with you in that Odelia would never make her children lunches. What if Edric and Emera we're the ones who made Amity lunch but instead of being nice about it, they picked on her a little. (because Blights are supposed to be strong or something). That's my theory/head cannon and I'm sticking to it.

0:47 this is probably where I think The Owl House should have gotten 3 or 4 Seasons and Star vs the Forces of Evil should have gotten 2 Seasons and 3 Specials because we didn't needed all of the filler episodes we didn't need all of the shipping episodes and there series finale couldn't have been better written where Star didn't Destroy the Magic and Toffee should have been the main Villain and Objectively Speaking I think Star vs the Forces of Evil should have ended at Season 2 with Star and Marco living together on Mewni with no lose ends
I have a potential theory for "The Owl House," could Luz (and humans in general) possibly be something of an amplifier for magic cast by witches? The reason I bring this up is because some of the most impressive feats (outside of Eda's) were performed with Luz either being directly involved or in close proximity to the spell being cast. Do you find this theory plausible or am I just finding something where there is nothing?
U may have something there though just playing devil's advocate here Amity, Wilow and Gus are all talented and hardworking prodigy's in their own specific fields of magic sooo... yeah not sure it could also be more of the psychological influence Luz's personality has on those around her helping to bring out the best in them.
Or Luz together with her friends being Ultra-Powerful. EDA took notice of this in "Hooty's Moving Hassle".

I didn't really care much about the ship that much for SVTFOE, I mean sure I loved Starco but what I really loved was Star's crazy personality because of her love of rainbows, narwhal's and puppies. Also for Lumity I like how there bisexual but sadly I've always thought that when it came to Disney, Andy Mack was the show Disney needed if it didn't cancel so soon.
Lumity are cuple goals that’s for sure. but one thing I really question 🙋♂️ in the animation industry is how come a lot of animated projects from Netflix, Wunderbros Discovery and Disney are canceling these shows that have some kind of liberal ideologys/lgbtq representation in their animated shows? Well…here’s my thoughts.
I feel like people are missing *why* Star vs. the Forces of Evil and The Owl House have such different approaches to their main pairings.
I know a lot of people don’t like the “shipping fodder,” or whatever term they’re using now for SVTFOE, but Star and Marco’s relationship was *always* the core of their show. I’m not denying that the execution could’ve been better, but when Star and Marco’s relationship went through changes, it made sense for the show to focus on that.
As for The Owl House, while Amity definitely cares about Luz and vice-versa, unlike Star and Marco, Lumity is not the core of their show (no matter how much the shippers think it is). Luz’s relationship with Eda and King is far more pivotal for the story and Luz’s growth. They are the residents of the Owl House, after all! I think it’s best shown in The Owl House’s S2 finale: Amity begs Luz to go with her through the portal, but Luz refuses to leave without Eda and King. No offense to Amity, but Luz’s found family is more critical in her girlfriend’s journey.
I don’t disagree about the SVTFOE dragging out Star and Marco getting together, though if S2 showed Star developing feelings for Marco, it made sense for S3 to develop Marco’s end. Personally, I feel that Star and Marco should’ve gotten together at the beginning of S4. Or at the very least broken off Tom and Star sooner so even if Star and Marco got together near the end it wouldn’t have been so soon after the breakup. Oh, and made sure Kelly and Marco never went beyond platonic - that was legitimately aggravating.
Back to Amity and Luz, while I do like how early they got together, I feel like Luz’s end is less…developed. In Starco’s defense, their show did spend a relatively equal amount of time showing both characters struggling with their developing feelings and it’s easy to see how Star and Marco’s personalities balance each other out. Star pushes Marco out of his comfort zone, and Marco keeps Star’s feet on the ground.
I actually don’t think Amity’s feelings were rushed! I think The Owl House had strong bases for why Amity would be attracted to Luz. I’m just not as convinced about Luz’s initial attraction to Amity. Since Luz arrived, Amity has made amends with Willow, abandoned her fake friends for real ones, stood up to her parents, and is much more caring, vulnerable, and selfless. It’s clear how Luz brought out the best in Amity. Luz, meanwhile, managed to ask out Amity (with Hooty and Eda’s help) and…got a smart, cool, and classy girlfriend. Which is fine, but it doesn’t go as deep.
I always think to that scene outside the library after Amity gets fired. Amity breaks down because Luz makes her do “stupid things,” which makes sense since Amity was such a top student who never got in trouble before Luz arrived. But when Luz says the same thing…? The parallel doesn’t really work since Luz had been making impulsive choices long before meeting Amity.
BUT I do like how Amity’s words to Luz in S3 mirror what Luz said when asking her out. It was a great way to bring their relationship in full circle and for Amity to make it clear that Luz needs to stop hiding her struggles.

I feel like the prof is actually disabled. We never see him walk. Hes always carried by his abomination. This is a mobility aid for him. For some reason, he cant or doesnt walk often.
Amity actually does show quite a few subtle attempts to be a good classmate. She raises her hand when the teacher says "the next person better be a passing grade or everyone gets more work." This is so freaking subtle that I would've missed it if I didn't see it brought out like this.
Maybe you should do the Meteora one? I mean it's been a while since you went back to Star vs topics. Plus you did have plans for the Meteora arc, right? And I am hoping you'll mention your opinions on Rasticore too at one point.

Was it possible for Amity's first apperence she was not beign bitchy but helpful in her own way at the time ? Similar to Gisstle from Pokemon Hard Knocks ?
Was Amity trying to mock Willow or was she genuinely trying to be encouraging and came across as Innocently Insensitive? After all, Amity isn't wrong when she says that Willow can't afford another failure and doesn't have anything to show for it. She doesn't actually get antagonistic until Willow steals her spot as top student, and it's easy to attribute the rest of her actions to insecurity (which is confirmed in "Covention").
The later revelation that Willow and Amity were childhood friends throws another new variable into this, as now there's the possibility Amity was deliberately playing up the condescension because she feels it's the best way to motivate Willow to work harder on her magic (and given that Willow's power appears to be fueled by her anger, she might not be entirely wrong about that.) If Amity truly feels she isn't "allowed" to be friends with "half-a-witch Willow", then maybe she legitimately sees being her enemy as the only way left of helping her achieve her potential. However, its also clear that Amity's bullying is part of why Willow resorted to cheating with Luz's help and failing her classes and being picked on by her and her peers is why Willow very much low self-esteem and hated going to school prior to meeting Luz. "Understanding Willow" confirms this, showing that Amity's parents forced her to stop hanging out with Willow and threatened to pull strings to prevent Willow from going to Hexside if she didn't obey.
I have to think that if Disney had put proper support behind the show, and not micromanage the first season with three times the number of executives that they usually do, then a lot of the kinks might have been ironed out, and that might satisfy the segment of the fandom that thinks #Lumity was rushed.

In coven convention, here are my thoughts on some of the set-up stuff
Would have loved Amity and Lilith interacting with each other at some point in season 2
Characters not being shown apologising for certain pass actions is likely due to plot structure, a scene showing one character saying sorry to another for something that happened episodes in the past would be nice, but might end up making the plot of the current episode more rushed
As for the high grades to get into the emperor’s coven, getting into the coven might not need good grades but being able to attend the tryouts to see if you can get in might need good grades
So Kitty Monk, do think the season 3 sneak peek adds to the relationship Luz had with her mother and Amity?
I'm personally not that into ships. I don't really get super invested in who gets paired off with who. But that being said, Lumity is a fantastic, adorable ship, and one of the best examples of gay representation in media.

Like everyone else said, it’s what Disney needs, but doesn’t deserve because they keep showing their homophobia when they supported the Florida bill, it takes a lot of fighting with to get LGBTQA+ characters on screen, and would prefer not showing too much light towards gay characters. Unless they stop being them, creators and writers have to keep fighting against them. Disney may need it, but what Disney really need to change themselves.
