Fatima and Daniel here - it was so exciting for us to meet you in person and wanted to let you know we are having a fantastic time here in Panglao going to the beaches and island hopping tours. The tour today we saw dolphins, rainbows, sea turtles, and got to relax on a white sandbar. Heading back to Cebu today if you see us sitting at the Mercado our table is always open for you! 🤜🏼🤟🏼

Hi Jonathan, it always amazes me how friendly the Filipino people are, even the kids. You picked a great time to visit the market as it wasn't busy.
They really are, aren’t they?! Everyone was so nice to me here at this market! Thanks for watching, Ben!
I wasn't sure what to expect when i went there my 1st time but the people are the most happy and welcoming I have ever seen. i completely fell in love with the Philippines because of that. You truly feel accepted and valued
100% !
even compared to thailand?
@@WalterWhite5678 way way better
I have tears of joy seeing how hospitable and friendly Filipinos are. I grew up sharing my food, even though I have little to nothing left. I am so happy to know the culture I grew up in continues.
oh it definitely still is this way!
Hating kapatid culture will continue forever I think. Pinoy yata tayo.
I can't believe it's been a year now watching your travels in the Philippines. It's nice to see you happy there.
A year flew by! But it’s been over a year since I was in Cebu last… pretty crazy. Thank you for following along for so long!
I’m from the Philippines but now I’m living in the USA with my family. Watching your blogs make me miss being there. People and food there are the best!

Sky is a precious gem
She is!
The Filipinos are very friendly and entertaining foreigners in the Philippines even here in US but Americans never do that kind of friendliness attitude especially if you’re Asians or Filipino I’ve been had experienced when you’re asking something they say a bad words to you instead of answer in nice way
What how sad😢
The market looks great. We're heading to Cebu soon. Amping!
It’s a great market! It gets super crowded on the weekends though, so it’s good to get there early to on a week day! Enjoy!

After being in Alaska, North Dakota, and northern Germany for so long where it doesn't get dark until 11pm (Excluding Alaska where it's dark 24 hours a day in winter), it's strange to see it dark so early. Far braver than me trying all those different foods, I like what I like and that's pretty much it for me.

Wow it's all delicious food in CEBU
Yeahhh!
One thing I notice is when people ask the vlog name, they just say it fast as if they're going to remember it. Business cards with QR codes my friend. Then they can pass it around and not forget.
Thanks!
Heyyyy Thank you!! I really appreciate it !
That young girl blew my mind!
And that stand Hiding the tip box🤦😂

CEBU AND BOHOL VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE TRAVEL ESCAPES
Yeah!!
So yummy ,naglaway intawon ko,nag tan-aw.
This is so typical of the Philippines all friendly hospitable people everywhere!
& safe.
Terrible here in Australia, people angry & arguing over waiting in line & aggressive & unsafe & very unfriendly!
Roxas city capiz has the best scallops. This shell is the Kapis shell which you can decorate in windows a lamp or fixtures. It’s is very rich when baked with garlic butter or cheese. If you want it kinda light you can try baked mussels. Good video though makes me hungry 😂
Jonathan finally you have a new hat ...... still the best vlogger in thePhils .. keep the great work up
Thank you so much for saying that! And yes! I have a new hat, and in a week it will be destroyed again from my excursions 😂

Oh that’s so awesome to hear!! Thanks you for following along for so long! Sometimes the videos do end up being this long, it’s never really intentional.. just however long the video ends up being is what I go with!
Way to go bro~ Cebu is blessed to have you for a visit!! Stay safe and enjoy it man! Tagay! See you again soon legend!

Oh, and did you see your channel pop up on my phone in this video?! 😅 it was when the little girl and the teenagers came up to me asking about the channel
❤
Kids are so cute 🤗
Also, spicy was never a popular ingredient old school Philippines/Ophir/Apar.
Haha they are! Yeah, it doesn’t seem to be in the typical/traditional Filipino foods
Your welcome in our hometown cebu city sir ❤️👍
thank you!!
I love you Jonathan! You’re the best!!!
Thank you for watching!!
Wowowoohh you've known a lot of bisaya words like - pasayan ,nukos, baboy, baka and many more ... Respect!!!
I’m trying to learn!
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL ""W" man W , I'm also from Cebu City... I'll give you some basic cebuano words 👇👇👇, I'm not a good english speaker but I'll do my very best..
Bai - amigo or migo , Pare or Pre , means dude , bro , mate or buddy but if you're cebuano , I prefer Bai , for example ( kumusta ka bai ?) means hey sup bud , hey what up man , dude.
Next is if you wanna try to connect people when you're eating , you can simply say (Mangaon ta ?) or shortcut version (ngano ta ?) you can add the word "ninyo" if you are saying to 3 or 4 people (mangaon ta ninyo?) Which means -ayyiee hello hi , let's eat.
Next is the word "mahal" it could be 2 meaning number 1 (mahal means my love) or mahal kita means I love you, mahal ko kayo means I love ya'll, I love you guys.
Number 2 "Mahal" is expensive, like for example if you try to ingage with the tricycle driver the price how much will be paying , if he says you think it's overpriced, you can simply say to him " Mahal "boss or mahal kuya , alright I'm looking for another boss/kuya have a good day ,.
Hope it'll help you Sir.
Good job my friend You put a lot of effort into such a long video
Keep safe Jonathan and enjoy ur exploring in the city. Jonathan when saying Salamat po. Say it slowly Sa-la-mat po. Not poww...
English is just basic and norms everywhere in ph. Locals can really mix and match it with their different dialects
Hello love watching your channel new subscriber from Vancouver Washington ☺️ enjoy the beautiful place
Hey! Thank you for sub! Welcome aboard!
You got it
Chewing your spicy siomai while almost bursting out to tears had me cackling im so sorry it was just so funny haha I can tell from experience how hard that is for us who has very small spicy tolerance hahaha
You must visit Sumilong and Kawasan 👍👍😊😊👌👌👌👌😍😍😍😍
I don’t know Sunilong, I’ll look into it! And I definitely want to do the Kawasan falls!
I was born in Cebu! I miss the Philippines so much! Enjoy!
"Cebu Lechon" is the best in the World according to Andrew Zimmerman and Anthony Bourdain both American Chef, Author, Food Network TV channel in the U.S.A. Jonathan I have a new nickname for you since you're all over the Philippines...
I named you the Wandering Joe! You should learn how to speak the Bisaya Dialect since you are always in Cebu & Bohol...You don't say the word "Po" in Cebu because "Salamat Po" is Tagalog, you say "Daghang Salamat" in Bisaya, meaning Thanks lot.! I was born in Cebu but raised in Seattle, Wahington. U.S.A...Shout out to me...."Peace and Love" Jonathan.."God Bless". 🇵🇭 ♥♥🌹☺..
WELCOME BACK
Thank you!!!
Ty John. I'm going there next month

Ahw! I miss Sugbo!
Scallops of different flavors like cheesy garlic are becoming popular in food parks like Sugbo
That place that gave you some complimentary pork barbeque... Its name is Manok Bisaya Atbp. Atbp means at iba pa or and other things. :)
