Clive was slightly taken aback cause he thought Eddie would be as fast talking & rude as his stand up used to be, but off stage Eddie is a soft spoken, & respectful person .
For any Americans watching this, Dixon of Dock Green was basically an English cop who arrested people for dropping chewing gum or being drunk on a bicycle. His show wasn't quite as exciting as the Beverly Hills cop films. It did have a superb theme tune, though.
Yeah I get annoyed when he says he needs to prepare and the timing has to be right. FORGET all that. He came in as a stand up comic. People love him. Just watching these interviews you see he still has crowd appeal and can get laughs. It’s like, if you don’t wanna do stand up anymore just say you don’t.
Mr. Anderson appears to take great delight in demeaning his guest by ribbing them with belittlement. Some call it shitting on people because of an "asshole" personality.
"Them's the chops" | They know wot they're letting themselves in for when they agree to come on the show...🤷🏽♂️ ▪︎ And if they don't....I'd wager it's time for them to hire a new Publicist.

For some reason I was thinking about this interview the other day and you only posted this 3 days ago! Great stuff, thank you.
6:20 “Not doing anymore Beverly Hills Cop”….28 years later…Beverly Hills Cop 4 😅😂❤
Eddie's English accent is terrific.
Clive Anderson and Eddie Murphy. Wooowwwww
Omg!! Genius...
I love the bit where Clive mentions Dixon of Dock Green and Eddie really wants to know what it is.
“It’s just like Beverly Hills Cop” lmao

Taking the P doesn't work with most Americans.

I loved it when he shitted all over the Bee Gees. That really turned me on, and made me hard.
