First comment in almost a decade. The original WLIA with Clive Anderson, Greg Proops, Paul Merton, Ryan Stiles, Mike McShane, Josey Lawrence, Richard Vranch et all, was AMAZING.
I didn't think Clive & Greg's relationship could any more hilarious than what I;ve seen from Whose Line, but I stand gleefully corrected. They both seem to be having so much fun dissing each other, and keeping such engaging and straight faces no matter how silly they get. That's one of the things I really miss about Greg in the US version (even though I'm more familiar with the US version and love Ryan and Colin) - you don't see so much of Greg's silly looks at the camera and quick-fire banter.
For those who don't know. The voice for the Beed side of the two-headed announcer Fode and Beed in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, with Scott Capurro providing the voice for Fode.
I watched this interview when it was on TV and this bit here where Greg does this thing with his fingers 07:56, I used to think about that all the time. I actually thought he did "air quotes" (so with 2 fingers on each hand), and I would do it whenever someone said my name.

@1:18 Drew Carey hosts that one and he's a little different than you he's very gentle. For those who have never seen the American version of Whose Line. Drew every once and awhile tried to mimic Clive and got burned by Greg for it.

I think I have just fallen inlove with Greg... pro tip guys who is on the dating scene... maybe Greg is not the best example because he is sharp funny and attractive BUT I promise you if you can make a girl laugh... 95% of the hard work is done... the other 5% is just you NOT screwing things up. What I should have said was Greg is wrong about the puritans being dim , They were the most ardently antislavery to the point that many were murdered... Well, for that and refusing to fight in the Revolution . Actually, they might've been the MOST progressive

it was a mistake to bring 'whose line' to america. the censorship in america is terrible and made the show not as exciting. they got carried away with the audience participation. i tune in to watch the improv comedians, not some unfunny audience members who weren't expecting to be on tv. i'm sure if it stayed in britain, there wouldn't have been a several-year hiatus and it would still be worlds funnier than it is today.
Greg Proops is one of those rare comedians who straddles the divide between American and British humour with ease and that's why I love him.
I could not agree more. I actually prefer Greg on the UK version. Hell I may prefer the British version in general.
