When Kit predicted the Mario movie would make a billion dollars I thought he was crazy and taking a big swing there because video game movies have never made the big bucks before. Turns out he completely called it!

If I am being honest... it was only a matter of time that devs start responding to negative reviews on steam... like it was Twitter. WE have cultivated this culture where corporations used to be the customer is always right, to now, the corporations fight back against their customers in the past decade... it's only going to get worse before it gets better.

There is no DLC for TOTK because it essentially was the DLC for BOTW to begin with... they put all their ideas into TOTK, there is nothing left, and frankly it's time to move on from this time and world

1:16:00 The crazy thing is that Sonic Superstars doesn't seem to have done that badly. According to data from Circana, it debuted at #9 in the US for the month of October. To keep things in perspective, Lords of the Fallen was #20 that month, and was confirmed to have sold over one million copies in its first ten days, as confirmed by CI games. Sonic Superstars clearly sold well over one million in its launch month, probably even more considering that data was US-only. And *now* it's had Black Friday sales to help it along. They considered Sonic Frontiers to be a huge success, and that was a 3.5 million seller. Comparatively, Superstars clearly took significantly less time and resources to create. I genuinely don't even know what kind of numbers Sega was expecting!

@@ThessaTheCat it was the 33rd best selling game in Europe. It tanked it Japan too. Sonic has little appeal outside of the US.

I don't think we need Wa-versions of every character.
But, I think Wapeach is great, mostly because I'm desperate for more Wario and Waluigi content and I think Wapeach could really tie things together in an interesting way.
Aoki's Wapeach is designed as a kid, which isn't what you'd normally think of if you just imagine a warui version of Peach. But, she's also inspired by Doronjo. I think this provides some interesting possibilities for character dynamics you wouldn't get from just "ugly, mean Peach".
Like based off this design, and aggregating some other ideas, I'd probably go with Wapeach being a bossy, mischievous brat. She's just a normal kid, who wants to be treated like a princess, so she adopts the persona Wapeach, and somehow bribes or bamboozles Wario and Waluigi into helping her. But ultimately, she's still just a kid, so she's not going to actually be able to successfully take over the Mushroom Kingdom/Diamond City/whatever. She'd come up with unrealistic, goofy plans that aren't even totally serious and are sorta doomed to fail, because on one level she's not mature enough to achieve her goals, on the other she's sorta larping as a villainous princess (which would also somewhat explain why she cosplays as Doronjo), and on the secret third hand she also just subconsciously thinks the crazier plan would be more fun. Maybe as a result of her shenanigans, she gets herself into trouble and Wario and Waluigi have to bail her all the time, but from her own childish mistakes. (In my head, it's maybe sorta similar vibes to Anya from Spy x Family [but older, brattier, less immediately empathetic] combined with Risky Boots from Shantae) I think if you'd mix this into a Wario & Waluigi RPG game, it could be really interesting, especially if it's the actual Mario & Luigi style and you get Bros. Attacks with the Wario Bros. + Wapeach.
And then at the end they get into the Wario Car and go hunt treasure and the theme from Wario Land 4 kicks in.
I think Krysta deserves another point because of the "Tears of the Kingdom Direct". Who cares if it didn't have the name "Direct" in the title? The essence of the prediction came true in that Nintendo had a showcase to reveal game play of Tears of the Kingdom.

Yeah I noticed this quite a bit this episode. I hope he can look at this for constructive feedback. I do think Krysta could be more prepared in her notes, but it is kinda awkward for you to pester her constantly about it. This is still a casual atmosphere and not everything has to be perfect. You guys still make great content and I enjoy the insight and conversations you both have on the industry.
Deary me. Bethesda really said that? It kinda reminded me of those "Customer service" trolls on social media that set their display picture to a company's, and then respond to complaints directed at them as if they are the company in question.

What happened with Starfield is:
Somehow, after Starfield was finally revealed, a lot of people got amnesia and forgot a lot of their gripes with Todd Howard and Bethesda. And then as Starfield came out, people started to remember "Oh yeah, it's just Fallout in space... Meh"
I'm not really sure why people had been hanging Xbox's reputation on Starfield. It was really weird given Bethesda and Todd Howard's reputation fell hard in the last few years.
Krysta wasn't totally wrong about Halo. The coop firefight is split screen and released two days ago.
In May detective pikachu 2 found a writer and director also Pokémon is getting some Netflix stuff
Can not wait for the story time about rage quiting to the beach!
I think Mario Sunshine is the best 3D Mario game in general. I highly doubt they will ever make another though.

I don't see how you could suggest that being too much Pokemon. I feel like you'd only say that if you're not really into the series. I think three games within a year time frame was great. If you didn't play them then, you weren't going to play them spread out. There wasn't time to get overwhelmed or anything unless someone plays those games very slowly.
I wasnt suprised about the mario movie, nintendo is just like disney a household name. Even my parents had a NES when they started a family. and they dont play games, same with my uncles and aunt. Mario is a household name, I think MOST parents has at some point played a Nintendo game (talk about the western world now) however Zelda? that zelda movie Im not sure will be a 1 billion dollar a movie, especially if its live action.
They are gambling big on that one

I’ll try to clear up any confusion about the BG3 ending, without spoilers.
As someone who has two separate endings saved for my solo character, as well as a co-op ending on a different character, the order for which characters speak/react to things in the ending is indeed randomized. For the most part, the ending is still the same, but sometimes one character might not speak at all, but if you reload, that character might speak like 4 times lol.
There’s also a chance that the order of events involving characters could’ve been randomized for Kit, but for me, they’ve always played in the same order. Only the dialogue of which character is speaking has been randomized for me.
Lastly, the epilogue is fantastic! My Githyanki character is raising a child with Lae’Zel. 😄

When Switch first came out I remember reading something where Nintendo said they wanted the switch to last at least ten years.
In 2022 furikawa said
Switch is just in the middle of its lifecycle and the momentum going into this year is good. The Switch is ready to break a pattern of our past consoles that saw momentum weakening in their sixth year on the market and grow further.
If this is just the middle then don’t expect any new systems until 2027 or 2028
Again If Furukawa’s comments are taken at face value that would mean the Switch will still be on sale in 2027.
They won’t need a switch 2 until 2027 the switch’s ten year anniversary will be a perfect time to announce a successor system
Why is everyone in such a rush to abandon the switch DIDNT y’all criticize Nintendo for abandoning the 3ds and Wii U by shutting the eshop down

The second Sonic movie was soooo bad for me. It was soooo haredcore americanized despite it's a global brand. It felt like i am watching a high school movie with bad jokes.

The TOTK being a mild disappointment... boy do we have some people you could talk to to prove that, it may even be worse than mild lol. That's not me... I loved my time with the game, it's my GOTY. The fact more people are slowly coming forward and saying... yeah this game didn't work out for me after all...because people trying to convince themselves they were going to love it no matter what. I had no feelings on that... since tbh I was never huge into BOTW myself... I thought this game would be the same, but it was the opposite. Maybe I just got it better this time around but BOTW was a lot of hype... TOTK being less hyped actually helped it for me.
Xbox still sucks.
