My name is Dela and I moved to Ghana from the UK in 2014. I have been living here with my 4 and trying to build a house in Ghana while establishing the lifestyle that we have craved for years.

Crows are sacred animals and having them around your property is a very, very, very good sign. Please read up on it. Leave water out for them and other goodies like seeds or nuts.

Well to start fixing the inside without putting the roof on your house to keep it dry that would be the most important put a roof on
And the example you have set for your children is exceptional. Seeing their parents build from scratch and create multiple homes is a lesson and example they will carry forward believe me. I was raised by a single mom and her example of building and owning homes passed down to me, and I am passing it down to my girls and so on and so on.

I agree with you. This is the reason many people are looking to Africa to buy land/property as a part of their generational wealth plan. Other nationalities are doing it in Africa because it’s important. They know Africa is the future.
I agree with you Dela. It's generational wealth so our kids and grands have something. My parents didn't have anything to leave to us so I want to do that for my children and teaching my son to do it as well.

In mythical believes, TWO black crow around your home is a sign of good luck coming your way or a new beginning in your life.
I was told the birds are the ones that used to live on the trees on the land before the trees get cut down for the building. After the building is raised they come back trying to relocate back. Sometimes they will be using their mouth to hit the window glass. They will stop coming after sometime when they notice they can nomore stay there.

The polysterene is insulation, The roof needs to be installed before yo do the plastering and tiling my friend.
It acts as insulation and flow as well

Della della della please don’t make the same mistakes of old! Put the roof on before you do any plasterwork there’s no point plastering part of a build and having it exposed to the elements. Put a roof on to enclose all your building, then put plastic over the windows to make your building watertight then plaster then put in your windows. then internal walls, electricals then plumbing. Try and actually draw up a building plan with a nanny, with some kind of work schedule obviously it’s Gana so things will not always work out as planned, but at least you will know what should be happening on a week to week basis and in the correct order. The rainy season is round the corner. You certainly do not want to plaster walls, then have it damaged with rain like you said you want to enjoy this experience, not have stress and annoyance at every turn.
Please did you use polystyrene for the flowing. Can you share the company who this.
In some cultures a crow is a messenger from the other side, usually after someone has passed away. Just putting that out there 😅
