  • I am finally back to building in Ghana.
I'm so excited to re-begin my journey toward finally getting this house completed.
Let's start with closing up the exposed roofing areas.
This is going to be quite the journey. I hope you'll stick with me as we take this road together.

    Hi there!
My name is Dela and I moved to Ghana from the UK in 2014. I have been living here with my 4 and trying to build a house in Ghana while establishing the lifestyle that we have craved for years.
On this channel, I'll be showcasing what it's like to live in Ghana and be a part of the diaspora, building a house in Ghana, and some relationship talks too.
I hope you'll enjoy this channel. Don't forget to subscribe if you do!
    Nutitfafa (Peace)
    Dela Xx

16:59 that block on the buttom needs to stay because if they remove it you gonna get rain water coming into the staircase to your living room regardless of having a door or not. Now if thats too high leave it coe niw till the finally screed the roof or put tiles to get the final layer level or height of thw floor then the can cut some few inches to make it even with the height of the staircase door at the of the roof. So that block level underneath the stairs is necessary. Or you may flood your home if you remove it. Its just one more step.

Dela, please stop worrying too much , parking the blocks all on one side has nothing to do to the building , after decking , no amount weight from the blocks can push the building down unless your building wasn’t well structured

Dela, what I am looking at, you are putting a temporary roof to close the top to water proof the place until you can work on the top. I had to do this here in the CAribbean at my home. When you are ready to work on the top side, they will have to break those walls down. I am 15 mins in watching. For the little step over, that is to prevent the rain that will fall from coming in and rolling down the stairs.

Watching this made me dizzy. I can’t do heights. You have done well going up and down 3 levels. The height will scare me that is why I built a ranch style home😄😄😄. You are doing amazing. Keep going.

I’m so pleased, that you are getting to work on your own section 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾You will get there, and so much looking forward to completing the process. But step-by-step 🙏🏾 Are you also going to have drain pipes, to ensure that the rain goes down off the house ?

It’s funny how people with no building construction qualifications are the one who is telling the builders what to do lol 😂 imagine giving orders to a builder in London

@@kgravgrav8496I guess it makes sense. However,Kids nowadays often want their own private home as adults. Plus the big house is bleeding her dry. One day she’ll wake up & the kids will be all grown. Time wasted. It’s better sometimes to reconsolidate the dream.
