I can see this traversal mechanic being tied into their hold charge attack. Mostly because of Arlecchino's charge attack. Felt like Hoyo was experimenting with charge attacks with her so I imagine that same mechanic will exist in future characters.
if that's the case I just hope we won't have to hold the button to travel - like Yelan's E instead of Arlecchino's charged. my poor hands...

9:52 and also not to mention, the desert took over 75% of Sumeru's landmass, having no Forest region after 3.0 really sours our overworld experience
And then there's me who got bored with the forest area and loved the desert, 100%ing the Hypostyle part 😭
for the longest time i didn't know about the underground desert, and so my exploration percent has been stuck at 50 for like a year, and then i realized that i didn't complete the world quest and goddamn there's so much stuff down there
I already want to pull for the Geo serval girl and the Hydro seal girl, they're both so cute!
Edit: As a history buff, am I the only one seeing that the Natlan vision emblem looks like a Balkenkreuz that's been turned 45 degrees?

Natlan Visions look pretty cool too.
Next to Kanriah, Natlan is the land I am most looking forward to as it seems to have so many different areas in one (mountains, volcanos, hot springs....) So excited!!
Plus, the place shown in the teasers could be a border region and the volcanoes, large mountains, hot springs, and tribal war could be more inland.
I won't lie; I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping to see more Aztec/Mayan/Incan characters and architecture. I'm not a fan of the street clothes look.

I never understood the Pneuma or Ousia mechanic on the Fontaine characters. I just do damage.
I mean if having saurian companions is common in natlan, why cant the enemy mob using their saurian companion to power their saw weapons? In sumeru, while most eremites cant use elements, there are some elite eremites that channel the spirit of the desert gods/creatures to power them up. These could be the same. Not to mention, this could also mean that we might get to see three different mob groups, one of each saurian
I dont think we know vision cases for Snezhnaya.
Arlechinno and Childe vision case looks more like its for Fatui. Their Delusion cases also look like that.
Either Tsaritsa copy pasted Snezhnaya vision design to Fatui delusion design.
Or Fatui has a special design case.
I doubt that fatui get special visison design. Also archons don't give out visions so Tsaritsa can't do anything in this matter.
The Tsaritsa probably copy pasted the design since Childe has a Hydro Vision and an Electro Delusion. So with Natlan's release we have the designs for all seven vision cases.
@Nisteryo The archons don't personally or physically grant visions, but they do set aside a portion of their power when someone is granted one (likely by Celestia). They just don't know who it goes to. Neuvillette's voicelines on "Visions" give a bit more background info on the matter, especially when it was his power that granted Furina her vision (her vision has fangs/claws added to the Fontaine design, making hers unique compared to the other Fontainian characters because hers are one of the first under Neuvillette).
@@Nisteryo Im not saying Tsaritsa made Vision. Im saying Tsaritsa gave out Delusion with the Snezhnayan design case. You can see the same Delusion Case on Fatui enemies.
It seems like the characters will have a skill/charged attack tied to the traversal methods. The geo girl seems to have a lot functionality in that single “buggy”, so it’d make sense for that to be a 4* skill like a sayu’s. The same goes with the hydro girl. If the dendro guy is a 5* the traversal method may also double up as a combat mechanic in his specific kit, kind of like Alhaitham’s dash but being able to be used mid-air.
Looking back on the first trailer it seemed like the player was able to control the Saurians. So instead of the having multiple companions based on the movement types, the traveller would probably resonate with something in a specific region to control nearby Saurians (like summoning waverider).
Following my theory on the character skills/CA for the companions, the archon would probably have a skill that summons a companion that can travers both land and sea and a charged attack that does what the dendro guy does. But in terms of character creation this is very complicated and lacks synergy between skills. So the archon may just have a unique companion like the dragon birds we see at the end of the first teaser.
We also don’t know if the archon is alive since they haven’t been seen for a few hundred years. So it leaves the archon’s kit open.
They will have to give either one of these three free or something. Because the mount used by the geo and hydro girls matched their theme perfectly. I doubt they would make a custom mount, that looks like it belongs to xiao and let Heizou use it. You ll have to have that character to avail that mount. If not, then you do it by borrowing saurian companion power for traveller like the third dude. Idk.
But my fav theory is, the mount belongs to those characters. Like, the girl owns a surfboard, and she borrows the power of the hydro saurian to turn her board into an animated shark creature. Same for the other girl, that drill ride thing belongs to her, and she just channels her saurian companions power through it. Meaning each natlan character could very likely come with their very own mount that they use to channel the saurian power through. i highly doubt that if they release another geo, they would use the same drill mount as this little girl, heck other than child model no one else can even fit in it.

And later bitches about Alhaitham not helping him, and leaving his stuff all around the house XD.
He also makes sure Alhaitham doesn't starve to death when he gets particularly engrossed in some book or another.

There was an event, where we could use our enemies against other enemies. And there were moments when we could use travelers burst of different elements to this day...as well as pyro
Those 'mounts' are just skills. I just know it.
Edité: I feel like the taveler will have traveling kit or are they too lazy and the archon's saurian companion is a dragon that could be a flight for traveling (maybe long press skill or charged atk but anyways...) and could be invulnerable to lava

Before watching this video I never even noticed or thought about the characters riding their contractions we're mounts
Ik about mounts since before the last teaser because of leaks but I thought that the mounts wad traveler turning into the saurians but no yeah ig thats for non Natlan characters or puzzle's
And it makes even more sense that the mounts are Natlan character exclusive and mechanical not living they've just been infused with saurian power probably through a contract with domestic or wild but docile saurians
As for the guy flying though maybe it's a small mechanism on his outfit or instead of having a mount he just uses saurian power on himself, he could also be a different race but look human but he's definitely not a sovereign because he's dendro

my guess is that traveller can use 3 out of 6 dragons which are shown in first teaser and this teaser and pyro archon can use other 3 which are not shown yet (and maybe not be released till future update)

I Missed whole Natlan's Teaser Trailer, now I will know what not to miss when I watching for the "first" time
There will likely be 6 types of saurian movements due to the first trailer having six little animal symbols and there 6 tribes so tribe should have its own unique saurian
What if each of the 6 Natlan tribes could "control" one type of saurians and so there would be 6 in total and like each of the 6 tribes lived in a "themed city" by that I mean for example the huge ship would be for those who control this shark, the flying guys live in a suspended city in the trees, the geo ones in a cave and so on, and something like the volcano residents who control a saurian which can swim in lava..
I really hope if this is a mount system its not only usable in Natlan... I forgave them for making the underwater exclusive to Fontaine, i wont for a mount thats been needed for a long time now
I believe Natlan will be HUGE. Perhaps we will even get everything shown in the teaser in the 5.0 update. That's why they're giving us mounts.
After just recently rewatching "Spirit: The Stallion of Cimarron", I can't help but notice all the landscapes from that movie has the same theme as Natlan's map (which makes sense since it is supposedly based on Native American Cultures).
The girl's hat has an unknown crest / symbol on it.

Also they add new models for body tayp if you start comparing highest the shark girl is a new model like the master diviner in hsr so am hoping for new types of tall male models
Yes they adding new models in Fontaine so they will go on in Natlan I think. Just like all the QoL in Fontaine screams something up for the new regions ( and the recent end game ) so the lv of Natlan may get higher, in Snezhnaya too since we're getting closer to the end game.
Also geo girl has different running animation from other characters of her body type.
the master diviner has the same body type as Clara tho?

(Adding: at around 11:50, the enemy seems to use his foot to start up the “power saw” thing. There are power tools (not sure if that’s the correct phrase) that work like that. So, if the enemy starts up the weapon like that, it may not need THAT advanced technology to power it….just my thoughts….)

i saw someone comment did we miss pokemon"..and to them i would like to say, pokemon would not have fallen off they had made their overworld traversal or pokemon design like this. Last few seasons have been super subpar compared to what they used to be, its almost like their 2d designs feel better.

Lack of another forest area, when we know there should have been another region (Layla's village implied to be north of the mushroom area) is another reason them choosing to release that empty spot just for the sake of releasing it is sad to me. I'm already kind of over most of the nations only having one or two main cities (which makes them being "regions" weird to me) but Sumeru didn't give us any actual desert Eremites that weren't bad, so the desert feels even emptier. It's like when Twilight Princess came out, people still regarded it as open world; but despite the large space, open world felt small and empty because of the lack of content/people/non enemies. botw fixed that because it has many people around the map and lots of pocket areas to make it feel alive. I hope Natlan will do this too.
ngl, as excited as I am for Natlan in general, I'm disappointed with the designs. Not going to get into any arguments with anyone but it's getting tiring seeing them to afraid to make the characters look like the people they are taking cultures from. Yes, taking cultures, because Sumeru they didn't just get inspired, it was a lot of 1:1 copies of the real cultures and religions. Glad to see that despite the excitement, even jp and CN fandom are disappointed with that aspect of the designs. I'm sure it will continue to fall onto deaf ears at hyv but it is what it is.
