Retired NASA Astronaut, Don Thomas, took time to thank NASA’s Break the Ice finalists for the work they're doing to benefit future manned missions to the Moon and beyond. Break the Ice, a Centennial Challenges competition with a prize purse of $3.5 million, seeks cutting-edge solutions that will prepare humans to live at the Lunar South Pole by creating autonomous lunar regolith excavation and transportation technologies.
