Exciting times for all space companies.
Roll Tide, baby!
It was great seeing the BE-4 on the first Vulcan flight! Looking forward to more Vulcan, and to New Glenn.
"It's back, We're back" - That was deep
Love how Blue Origin, Space X, and the other magnificent Rocket Companies are paving the Road to Space for the Human Race!
I grew up in Huntsville. Went to the Space Museum every weekend it seems. Crawled into a Mercury capsule on display, tried to steal a moon rock from a lexan box that was a racoon trap. The hole was basically too small for a fist, lol. When the security guard came over to get me, I dropped the moon rock and licked a little dust from my hand. That got me kicked out for a month. They all knew me by name. Astronauts routinely trained there, so I was always meeting and talking to them. It was pure magic for a a kid who read nothing buy Science fiction in those days. Glad to hear about this. Rocket city has needed a boost like this for a while.
I live in Cullman , I've been to the Space Center and Redstone many times. I actually have a relative that is festered in recreation of Von Braun's office in the Davidson Center
Can't wait to see New Glenn take off for the first time! Good luck Blue Origin.
New glenn must not be wrong its not like starship, starship exploded 2 times and the world is still waiting oft 3 but if new glenn explodes it's serious it took too long to develop this rocket
But if it works it will be very good
@@Ionut-bg6vwNG has much better chance of success compared to starship. BO is taking a much more careful approach for developing their rocket as compared to spacex
@@hamzahkhan8952 Yes, but if starship succeeds and starts flying as often as possible, new glenn will be almost useless, that is, I don't expect it to fly more than 2 times a year, but starship will fly a lot, but go NG
@@Ionut-bg6vwnot neccessarily. starship, like F9 and FH, is not the most efficient vehicles and designed to perform best for LEO missions. some missions that require high performance and low complexity/risk, which starship cannot offer.
Rockets are so cool....
I will admit. It’s a loud and proud engine. I heard them on Vulcan, 60 miles away🤯
Great video, but would've loved to have seen the BE-3U test firing video included as well.
We love our Huntsville!❤
BE4 is such a damn cool engine - I CANNOT wait for NG to fly!!
Thank you for sharing your story. I would love more of this.
very cool Blue.😎
More videos like this plz.
Gradatim Ferociter!
I can't wait to see New Glenn leap off the pad! #teamSpace !!!!!
Huntsville, baybeeeeeeeee let’s goooooo
Go Blue Origin! Go New Glenn! 🚀🚀🚀
Another step int he long history of boilermakers taking us to space!!
This is awesome 😮
respect to Blue Origin for doing more public engagement
time to light this candle jeff! new glenn is aching for the dream of space.
let's go let's go! blue
Super awesome to se and hear 👍💪
Amazing new achievement!
Let's go Blue Origin!!!!
Fantastic to see, well done :-)
Very fascinating!
The skies need more BLUE in it
This is awesome, well done Blue Origin!
Brilliant
Glad to see new Glenn finally moving forward seen real hardware
❤❤❤❤
GOGOGO :)
we're so back
💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
What is the thrust to weight ratio?
two
Congratulations 🎉
Still haven’t reached orbit
Hurry up pls 🙏
Good luck😊🥰🤣
🔷🔷🔷🔷🔷🔷🔷🔷🎱
Go Blue!
Why do I feel like this will become a major success before Starship?
Don't worry! Is just a feeling 😉
Because you are taking drugs?
at the current rate BO is going at, i highly doubt it. although i do hope it starts flying soon. itll be a great heavy-launch vehicle.
Looking forward to the Centaur rockets dress up with the Blue Origin logo !. Mr Bezos 💪👍
By the time you guys launch Elon will be walking on Mars lol cmon, take some risks.
This engine is already 10x more reliable than the raptor and what elon is doing isn't taking risks. It isn't his money. He's just squandering billions on overpriced fireworks while blue origin is actually testing rockets. I could build a plane in about 30 days and it'd glide for 2 mins before crashing in the ocean, or I could spend millions of hours on building a boeing jet which can fly for thousands of miles at a time and for many years. No one in the right mind would say these two aircraft are the same, but one it comes to spacecraft? well Musk fans have ways of bending the truth.
@@Schonah When it was more reliable than the Raptor, the Raptor had already made hundreds of launches without failure.
😔 *Promo SM*
But your rocket is smaller than the saturn V?
Yay test stand!!! Thank you so much NASA test stand for surviving 60+ years so BO could F.I.N.A.L.L.Y. release a video.
Try looking at Blue's other social media accounts. There's a lot more of this kind of thing out there. But maybe that's too much for people who're one trick ponies.
@@Nowhereman10 No, sorry, I follow BO on other social media platforms, so not sure which ones you're pointing me toward. Or is "social media" something you buy from Jeff off Amazon?
@@mikepeterson9733So, you saw the video showing the first actual firing of an engine, a BE-3U to be exact, on this very same test stand last August? Then you've also seen videos and photos of New Glenn going to the pad for the fueling tests that just wrapped up, right?
I mean, at what point do you I just call BS on you?
@@Nowhereman10...But still no launches, right? Or did I miss those? Sure, a couple BE-4s launched, but they were on another company's rocket (ULA rocks! btw). I'll quit bitching when BO finally launches something into orbit, that's what makes a launch provider.
@@mikepeterson9733You're moving the goal posts.
Also, the New Glenn pathfinder vehicle went to the pad for three propellant loading tests. And I'm guessing you don't keep up on things since you'd know that there's a static hotfire for mid-summer, and if that goes well, then the first launch can proceed as early as mid-August.
When are you finally going to launch something to orbit?
When they're good and well ready to do so.
So much better than Space Karan
SpaceX are making like one raptor engine a day and they have the same thrust while being way smaller...
@@johntheux9238 and then they make a huge firework of them. Kindle pay fcking attention to the developmental pace of BO, and every rocket company before them, and even SpaceX Falcon 9 for that matter. And then there’s the water tower of fail.
@@ArKritz84 They all worked perfectly on the second test flight.
@@ArKritz84 have you watched flight 2?
@@johntheux9238 for as long as they weren’t in a thousand pieces, at least.
I would be clapping too if I was making as much as an ER Surgeon every hour lol. Whoopo Yeahhhhh Go BE-4 lol 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
How much does an ER surgeon make? How much are they making? Please be specific and cite sources.
Blue Origin: Renovating a 50+ Year old test stand for 4.5 years!
SpaceX: building a completely new one in a couple of months, for way bigger engines!
One company is burning tax payer money like it's going out of style, the other one... isn't.
Yeah but U know that that SpaceX is just saving Billions of Dollars of Tax payers money, it is insane how much cheaper SpaceX is and how bad NASA is when it comes to "price performance"
@@ArKritz84 SpaceX delivers on it's contracts, bud.
@@benlawton5420 OP was presumably talking about Raptor/Starship. Bud.
@@benlawton5420 SpaceX was five years late with Crew Dragon (promised in 2015, delivered in 2020). It was also five years late with Falcon Heavy (promised in 2012, delivered 2018). The still have yet to deliver Dragon XL for Artemis Gateway, and Starship HLS has fallen behind by several years. The first Starship orbital flight was supposed to be in 2019 with Mars cargo Starships landing in 2022 and then crew missions in 2024. Dear Moon was supposed to have flown around the Moon in 2023, but did not, and looks like it may not for several more years.
Blue Origin is also late on some projects, but has also delivered to its customers. The first shipset of BE-4s to ULA was nearly two years ago, and those engines performed practically flawlessly on Vulcan two months ago. More engines have been delivered, and New Shepard keep on quietly chugging away with its suborbital flights, having sent 32 people and over a 150 experiments to space and back.
Yea, space. Now let it go.
WAIT - the BE-4 wasn't tested in a vertical position before the first Vulcan flight??? I'm optimistic about this new CEO, but Bezos needs to spend way more time in the office instead of gallivanting around the world with his arm candy if Blue Origin has any hope of being competitive with SpaceX. You know, the company that has been running its own test stands in McGregor for the past 15+ years.
You're... aware that this video wasn't live. Right? And that qualification testing was completed almost a year ago?
@@ArKritz84 You're.... aware that the engineer at 0:50 said "this test here" will finally let them test in a vertical position, and that the timestamp at 1:11 of "this test here" is dated 02/01/24 after the Vulcan first flight? Obviously it's not a live video, it's a shockingly sad "hey look at us" promo piece bragging about something SpaceX has done thousands of times already for 15+ years.
@@SpaceGeek321 wow, those were a nice couple of seconds. But as it stands, I wouldn't go so far as to call them an answer to your initial question. Would you?
And still Bezos' engines worked perfectly on their first flight to space, unlike the bozo's
@@SpaceGeek321 I guess you don't follow things much. The majority of testing was done at Corn Ranch before this. But this is not the first vertical test firing of BE-4. The first was the flight readiness test firing on Vulcan last June. The engines were fired for 6 seconds. This would've cleared the rocket to fly, but for ULA botching the Centaur V H2 dome and delaying the mission several months to fix and redo the qualification.
Also, most of the early Raptors were horizontally tested as were other engines. Both SpaceX (Merlin) and Blue (BE-3/BE-3U) had tested their smaller engines on vertical test stands many times because it's a lot easier to do so.
ok
Considering the fact that blue origin started years before SpaceX, the achievements up to now are a joke.
This company hasn't even brought a single rocket into earths orbit.
How many launches of the Falcon 9 have taken place up to now?
Over 300.
amazed Alabama allows space flight given they think the earth if flat
Blue Origin is waste of time/money.
Yawn
Waiting for new glenn vs starship race. ❤❤❤🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳. #LOVE_FROM_INDIA. BEST WISHES FOR BLUE ORGIN ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That would be like comparing an Hotwheels car to a Semi truck (New Glenn is just way smaller than Starship)
@@user-ni1qm4zg8xIt is not. New Glenn is nearly as big as Starship: 98 meters vs 120; 45 tons vs 100.
@@Nowhereman10 exactly you would still need about 2 new Glens for the same payload and sadly the amount will exponentially increase as missions start to refuel in orbit etc.
@@user-ni1qm4zg8x This just shows what a troll you are. Starship needs massive refueling to get to cislunar space, at least 8-10 launches in rapid succession, whereas the Blue Origin conops for HLS require only 4: launch the Cislunar transporter, the tanker, and the lander; refuel and then go. Once there, the tanker and transporter can go back and forth from LEO to cislunar.
@@thomasackerman5399 but still 100 tones Leo to 50 tones Leo is a massive difference isn't it?
I like how it sounds "Going back to the 60's". 💪🏻💙 🪶
All of your videos seems too artificial and unrealistic. Feels like a big cover up
