- Hello folks! Welcome to my Majin Buu saga from Dragon Ball Z, explained video! As some of you may know, I recently gained a passion for Dragonball (Cue "Nerd" name calling) I mean, I mainly play Star Wars so ya know, that's nerdy too? Anyways.... I really wanted to make a Majin Buu Explained video, I really enjoyed the Buu saga and felt like adapting my love for the series into my CZcams channel would be a good move for me. A little background: I started watching DB Kai about a month ago, i've now watched the entire first season of Kai and finished with watching the Buu Saga on normal DBZ (Non remastered). I couldn't wait any longer for the dubbed episodes after the Cell saga so I just went ahead and watched the older ones! I love the entire thing! I probably love the Frieza Saga the most! I have started watching Super, like the first 5 or 6 Episodes. I may have to start watching Subbed... Mhhhm. Thanks for watching anyways!

Bibidi did not create Buu, although it was said in the anime that he did. It says in the video here 1:23 that Buu already existed.
Uub is canon, yes. However, and this is important. This video was made *before* the episode that confirmed Uub in super. There was no way for me to know if Uub was going to be canon, I made an assumption that I believe is still quite valid but the point being, Uub is canon for sure 100%. I'm aware he appeared
at the end of DBZ which some are saying sealed him in canon, which I agree with, however at the time I assumed Uub was non-canon due to his arc living within DBGT which also isn't canon. I'm sorry for that mistake. I now understand and respect Uub's presence in the DB canon.
Also, Kid Buu is not the strongest version of Buu. Super Buuhan is the strongest by a very long mile. Kid Buu is the most *dangerous* and *chaotic* as proven when Kid Buu destroys Earth moments after reverting to Kid Buu.
Lastly, it was after Mr. Satan was shot that Buu began to expel his evil side and not when the dog was shot... My bad on that.
Apologies for any confusion but this should clear it up!
There are defo some really cool comments and conversations happening so keep that up, I never expected this video to blow up so it makes me happy to see lot's of Dragon Ball fans talking on my channel. As with all different types of communities, there are also some pretty lame comments here from people who think they're awesome for correcting information in this video. While yes a couple corrections were needed, I just want you to know that I made this video expecting less than 1,000 hits and now it's on it's way to 1,000,000 which is something any CZcamsr would be absolutely proud of.... I am not proud of this one. So, if you're not either then I understand.

When kami released picollo they didn't look too much different.
They both looked old.
When fat buu let the evil 1 out the evil 1 looked completely different .
It's all strange becuz the evil buu and the fat are pretty much the same person.
They both destroy letting you know that buu was for the most part evil.
The difference is 1 was influenced to do good , but still had a destructive nature.
Regardless buu was made to be evil , its just that he needed a reason to not be.
The fat buu you can speak sum sense , but kid buu there's no common ground.
That's what supreme was saying.
The difference between buuhan and kid buu is fighting technique.
Kid buu developed a better fighting technique fast.
Also Vegeta stated that ubb was learning how to fight while fighting Goku in the tournament.
They're both powerful its just that kid buu was underestimated, which is why old kai told supreme kai shin to give Goku and Vegeta the potora rings. Understand that super
buu absorbed Gohan, Gotenks, and picollo to get their skill and knowledge .
Super buu stated that the mind of picollo and the power of Gotenks he would unstoppable.
He absorbed the kais for their powers.
Goku also stated that buu mastered 1 of Vegeta's attacks even tho Vegeta didn't use it on him.
When fat buu shot a beam at kid buu, kid buu waved his finger saying no that won't work on me.
Majin buu basically knows what his opponents are capable of doing.
When Goku was talking to kid buu when he unleashed the spirit bomb, kid buu knew he was gonna die.
To sum it up, kid buu is the most powerful buu cuz he adapts to his opponents fighting technique, unless overwhelmed by tremendous power.
There's a reason Goku trained with uub, and that was to
sharpen his skills and also increase his power.
It was mentioned that kid Buu wasn't the most powerful but still the most chaotic and dangerous

Super Buu was intelligent enough, even in Base Form, that there's a method to his madness. Kid Buu blew up the Earth, for literally no reason. He just randomly felt like it.

I would say Kid Buu is the strongest. In the Manga it says he is the most dangerous or whatever in the show Goku literally says he is stronger then he ever was before in speed and strength. Goku then turns SSJ3 and fights him 1v1. Idk why he would be weaker. Cell didn’t get weaker as time went on and actually got stronger when Goku sacrifice himself, same goes for Frieza. Freiza got stronger then SSJ1 in the show but couldn’t maintain the power for long. I know these guys aren’t the same but from story standpoint I don’t think you would want a weaker person to fight in the climax of the battle/story.

The former was mentioned in the video, the latter hadn't happened yet at the time of this videos release.
Maybe he'll be more helpful in the Super sequel (Assuming one is made) than he was in GT. He fuses with Good Buu and.... that's it. He doesn't get a single victory. He doesn't even put up a good fight against Super Android 17, even though the equivalent of Super Buu should put the equivalent of two Android 17's to shame and this is before he started absorbing ki.

The Grand Supreme Kai was so pure of heart and mighty that he rendered Mega / Buff Buu helpless with just a few attacks and Buu was desperate enough to instantly absorb him. But by doing so had drastically changed the personality and severely weakened Majin Buu to such an extent that a million years later his pureness created a good buu in the end. Might as well just call him God cause I don’t know any other DBZ character with that kind of Power or influence. XD
Power? In terms of destructive capabilities, Grand Zeno (or Zen-oh, whatever), being the omni-king. In terms of straight, raw power? I'd say Beerus, and therefore anyone above or equal to Beerus (other GoD and angels + maybe MUI Goku), considering they can easily dodge, avoid, and lay out anyone who matches them. Have any GoD or angel fight the Grand Supreme Kai, they're more than likely going to destroy him. I could be wrong, but judging my the ease it takes Beerus to dominate all the Z Fighters (Buu included), and the ease it takes Whis and other angels to dodge and block anything, I'd say they're stronger.
Influence? I don't know about that, really. Not many comparable scenarios there to make..

i wonder why beerus wasn't killed when buu absorbed the supreme kai as they're linked to each other (ofc most logical reason being that beerus wasn't written back then)..the supreme kai technically left the world when he was absorbed and became a part of buu

Majin Buu has to be my favourite Z Villain. Most of all in his Pure Form (Kid Buu) for multiple reasons.
I love his design, I love the strange nature of his powers/body, and I love his mentality.
To describe it best, Kid Buu is like when you give a psychotic 11 year old a rocket launcher. Buu is a child who has the power to destroy entire galaxies. He has no morals. All he knows is destruction.

How come when Buu absorbed Gohan, it didn't make him a nicer person?
When Gray Buu absorbed Fat Buu (who loved Hercule), he was unable to bring himself to harm him. And as the other person said, he does become somewhat less savage and even a bit reasonable as he absorbs people.

He managed to suppress the Grand Supreme Kai's goodness so Gohan probably wasn't going to be dominant, either. What I'd like to know is why Buu never questioned his actions. What was his end goal once he'd destroyed all there was? Just sit in the void forever? He absorbed Piccolo's intelligence, so you'd think he would have contemplated that at some point. Perhaps, if he had won, he would have eventually started thinking about that.

Buu was never a deity, though. Yeah, I get why Kid Buu wouldn't contemplate this but Super Buu is smarter, especially after absorbing Piccolo.
Well done, the only thing I have to add is that the current Buu that exists today (I'm referring to the Buu in super, not Uub) is typically referred to as Mr. Buu. He's distinguished from Fat Buu because Fat Buu still had the strength of Kid Buu. While Mr. Buu certainly is very powerful, he does not have Kid Buu's power and hasn't had it since they split and Kid Buu was destroyed and reincarnated. Just as a side note.

Kid buu is not the strongest version of buu. He is the most dangerous, but super buu is the most powerful version. Mystic Gohan is the strongest non fused DBZ character. He is even stronger than SS3 Kakarato.
Even stronger? Gohan SnS was leagues above Goku Ssj3.

Base Level Super Buu puts SSJ 3 Goku to shame. He was confident that the fusion (Which they only knew SSJ at the time) would beat Buu, placing it above himself. After training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and going SSJ 3, he becomes Super Buu's equal. At that point, slightly beyond Goku's level.

But if we're talking abt raw power of transformations, I guess that's just ssj3 needing a fuck ton of energy just to reach. Mystic Gohan came to Earth in that form, we didn't know how it'd be (but I'm thinking it's the same with ssgss transformations while on earth - it's stronger than ssj3, but it does not pose a threat to earth)

I understand the differences between recklessness with power and just being powerful. I've heard that super buu is the most powerful, with emotions and understands of what he does intact as kid buu powers is great as well, he's just reckless and doesn't care and lets it all out which made him more unpredictable and more dangerous. Unfortunately it’s wrong...bibidy didn’t actually create buu...buu came into being when the universe began and was actually not bad at first...it was millions of years of seeing the way mortals behaved that ultimately made buu bad...and then bibidi came along and figured out a way to control buu by taking him over with magic...just like babidi does to Dabura and Vegeta...hence buu became majin buu

Out of the top 3 bads for DBZ cell was the only one who started out weak and had to gain to become powerful as Frieza and buu were born with unbelievable power. It's kinda cool to think about.
Cell wasn't exactly born weak. Imperfect Cell was stronger than 17 by default. The only reason Piccolo stood a chance against Imperfect Cell was because he lost a lot of power reverting to his larval stage to time travel and needed to absorb a bunch of people to get back to his normal power level (at which point he totally bodies fused Piccolo and 17).
@@connman8d617imperfect cell had to absorb half of the earths population first ..he was almost toast but he solar flares and hid until he had enough life energy

From what I understand it was about the kind of heart Buu had that determined his strength. Interestingly, kindness weakened Majin Buu in his purest form (Kid Buu) after absorbing the Grand Supreme Kai. Now Kid Buu is somewhat contaminated and weakened. Because Gohan, Piccolo, and Gotenks had not-so-kind hearts after absorption, Super Buu got a hundred times stronger. Once Gohan, Piccolo, Gotenks is released, Super Buu is a bit weakened, but still have Fat Buu's kindness. This Buu will not harm Mr. Satan and even asked Vegeta to not pull down Fat Buu's people pod. Once Fat Buu is released, then the South Kai fused Buu is there with his not-so-kind heart making this Buu even stronger than Super Buu. Once the South Kai is lost forever, his purest form of evil is present again, making him even stronger than the previous form without contamination and with the presence of additional God Ki. Remember a Supreme Kai is not limited to instantaneous movement and that's exactly what Kid Buu started doing. He got a hint and moved to the Other World. Goku miscalculated thinking that he can beat Kid Buu with SSJ2 and SSJ3 but it had no effect nor weakened him. Because of Kid Buu's evil heart, the Spirit Bomb (thanks to Vegeta's thinking) is the only power Buu could not deflect.

so when Evil Buu eats fat buu he becomes Super Buu...goku and vegeta later find fat Buu inside Super Buu and release him...but instead of reverting back to Evil Buu he becomes his original Kid Buu form???? WHY!!!!

Boogie Thug Rose people majin buu turned into chocolate and then eaten were not encased in pods, but that's was not the case with fat buu like he was absorbed via goo. So i think Evil buu somehow need something from fat buu to be kid buu, maybe that explains his gray color.

In my understanding this is how it worked. When fat buu split and evil buu was born, evil buu was the essence of kid buu without his natural body. basically kid buu without his natural body. So when they released everyone including fat buu, what was left was the his natural body plus his evil essence (evil buu ) which together makes kid Buu. Hope this makes sense :)
What I never understood is why super buu didn’t revert back to evil (gray) buu when they cut fat buu from the pod. That’s seems like what would logically happen considering super buu is just the gray buu with fat buu absorbed.
Because Good Buu still had Kid Buu's subconscious suppressed within him, he only expelled Kid Buu's Evil alongside the majority of his power. Good Buu essentially became most reliant on the Supreme Kai's powers but not without the Majin regeneration ability (which itself was nerfed as it only restored Buu's health, not his Ki).
Once Evil Buu absorbed Good Buu, Kid Buu's subconscious transferred to Evil Buu, causing Evil Buu to cease to exist now that Kid Buu's consciousness reunited with it's Evil while Good Buu kept the Kai's. However since Good Buu wasn't as pure hearted as Grand Supreme Kai, instead of turning into Fat Buu again, Kid Buu transformed into the correct form he was supposed to attain when he absorbed Grand Supreme Kai: Base Super Buu.
*So the reason why Super Buu reverted into Kid Buu was because he lost Good Buu but didn't lose subconscious essence, causing him to turn into his original form instead of his incomplete form which was Evil Buu*
*It's like with Semi Perfect Cell. After he blew himself up, the one cell that survived still had the memories & essence of Androids 17 & 18. So instead of regenerating into Semi Perfect Cell, the Cell instead restored itself as Perfect Cell using the leftover memories & essences of the two androids. And the explosion caused Cell to grow even more powerful due to the Zenkai boost.*

First of all kid buu isn't the strongest buu. And Uub is canon as he appears in dragon ball z ...
As far as I know it wasn't suppose to be canon becuase that was the lead into gt, however, Uub was mentioned in super anyways so it confirms it's canon.
SWTOR Central Uub is in the original manga, of course he's canon.
Uub appeared in the final chapter of the original DB manga, the only indisputably canon source for DB. It will be interesting to see the Goku/Uub fight updated or retconned into Super.
It's not because he is mentioned in Super, more because he is just a normal character in Dragonball Z manga. He only appears for like twenty pages, but he is there. Nothing less, nothing more.

The separation of the evil from fat buu is different to the separation of fat buu from super buu. Not sure why really, maybe it's because it was done by buu himself rather ripped out entirely like Goku and Vegeta did to Super Buu.
Perhaps when the evil was separated from fat Buu, it included the South Kai and a little bit of Fat Buus imprint still, whereas the unnatural split by Goku and Vegeta totally rips all this out which is why he pleads 'I won't be me any more!' when Vegeta is threatening him. Perhaps fat buu and evil buu were still connected even when separated.
How on earth Fat Buu was able to expunge another version of himself in the first place as an innate ability (which he seems unaware that he could do) is a mystery. Bibidi must outrank Dr Gero as a true evil genius.
Beyond that, do they ever show how the kais originally defeat fat buu? They just say he was weak enough to defeat, but he's still stronger than the supreme kai so

There was a scene there where super buu was afraid of turning back to kid buu when vegeta tore away fat buu from within him, it seemed to me even he was afraid of that mindless destructive form and when he did turn back to kid buu the first thing he did was blow up earth.

An interesting fact, even though Buu had been sealed for like 5000 years, certain circles of the universe were aware of him. Frieza said in Super his father warned him never to attempt to fight Buu (or Beerus), so the Frost Demons (or at least King Cold) was not only aware of Buu, but that Buu could theoretically come back at any time. Although oddly enough, it seems Beerus either did not know who Buu was, or didn't care ... anyway, not really that important to Buu's history, I just thought it was interesting.

Some time during super it is explained that ONLY the Kaio-shin fuse for eternity using the ear rings. That's real underlying reason as to why they split inside of Buu. I say underlying because obviously we got this explanation years after the buu sage ended in real time.

Point of reference: Bibidi did not create Majin Buu, he existed since pre-recorded history, Bibidi simply knew how to bring him out of his slumber. This is a common mistake because the anime fucks it up a bit, as both Babadi's and The Supreme Kai of universe 7 recall events as Bibidi tells them, not as it actually happened.

Guys. Grey buu IS kid buu, just not in a natural body. Which is why he's grey and not pink! Basically, the Kai's influence gave fat buu a lot of potential for good, so once he expelled the evil, it created a form of kid buu without a natural body. He then absorbs fat buu to become a more ruthless stronger killer. However, he's still got a speck of good as super buu refuses to kill hercule (fat buus best friend). So once fat buu is removed, so is the Kai's influence on buus natural body, allowing the evil to completely take over the natural body, leading to kid buus true form. With the info given, it's even plausable to say if fat buu had not expelled the evil from himself, kid buu would not exist. We are led to believe that these changes to be made by absorbing the Kai's were permanent, because it's not something buu can do at will and only by unleashing his evil rage does he get stronger. By buu pushing out the evil, he effectively gave his evil side a way to regain the natural body and overstep the Kais influence on the body. Then once fat buu is absorbed, it's only his influence that keeps kid buu from having complete control.

Mr_ Testuo it’s confusing, but I think the reason why he turned into kid buu is because good buu is essentially kid buu but with the grand supreme Kai absorbed and when Vegeta ripped away the good that was connected to super buu, he was forced to degrade into kid buu because he has no other influence inside of him and that’s why he’s also called pure buu

Majin buu was my favorite villain really. He is actually stronger than all the dbz tv show villains put together (Power levels) and when he becomes kid bu, he starts not giving a fuck. He beat all the z fighters and it took the dragon ballz to undo the evil he did

Also as far as Uub is concerned. Ive heard rumors that he was cannon but i am skeptical. If in fact he is cannon why have we not seen him in super? When Goku was gathering people for the tournament of power it would have been THE perfect time to get Uub in and they didn 't so therefore im goin out on a limb and saying sadly Uub is NOT cannon

Beerus definitely did, but he didnt care. Guessing the rest didnt care either. Its the GoD's and Kai's job to keep their universe tidy. If it gets out of hand, Zeno could delete the entire universe in an instant.
you'd think the god of destruction would've gotten involved when something is killing off what is essentially his life support. As once all the kais die then so does the god of destruction.
