If Missouri is a state that pays out... states usually pay about $50,000 per every year falsely incarcerated. He did 28 years so that would be about $1,400,000. Definitely not enough for all that time he lost. His life was stolen. Many times states have loopholes to not pay out, but hopefully its different for this man. Its painstaking to know this man was falsely accused and to what degree a lack of intelligence was used to finally figure it out. The justice system sucks but of course there are good people within in it. Thank God for this motherly woman who gave this man a lifeline and led hin through his dark days.
God Grace this man with a blessed life ahead. Amen.

I love these stories but good grief, I really hate reading about how so many innocent people are spending literally decades behind bars for crimes they didn't commit. They should be given some type of guaranteed income for what the state put them through instead of them just saying "sorry about that, you're free now."

Beautiful story, so happy he was found
Innocent and released. Glad also he has
a long time friend ship with someone who
believed in him, and helped him indure all
those years while in prison. God bless
    them both.

I’ve seen and heard about one tragedy happening after another a lot recently- this was a breath of fresh air and reminds me that there are still good individuals who exist on this earth. For however long that woman has left here, I hope they’re both able to connect even further. She is his guardian angel.

What a great story, this man was dealt a terrible injustice, I hope and pray he can overcome this trauma and find himself and learn to survive in todays' crazy world. God bless both of you and hang in there Lamar, there is nothing you can ever do to make God love you more than He does right now.
