    The rocker switch LED is for the headlight illumination wire, not +12V constant. Good video though guys. I love how you 3 really give it a crack. I wish many more guys would just get in there and try.

    @MyNameIsYeet Před 4 lety +8

    Ideally you should be soldering connections, spades and ect are high impedance also they can over time corrode or disconnect. As others have said 24volt relay too.
    If the LED for the rocker does bother you, you can make a switch to isolate the accessories from the battery.

      @@alijaffal3916 i always do and try to keep each thing such as light bar on its own circuit .... if you use the body of your car as negative then it only takes one of your positive cable to rips and touch the body and if its before a relay or switch you will get sparks/ short circuit or a fire, and putting a fuse on the positive is a good idea too, but not all cars are negatively earthed

    • @AussieArvos
      @AussieArvos  Před 4 lety +1

      did some reading on the internet and apparently i think they should be fine. reverse lights can only be used when in reverse gear with the ignition on. Lights must be no more than 1200 mm above the ground & comply with Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 1/00 - Reversing Lamps) 2005 - www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2005L03873

      @Relapsedmgc Před 4 lety

      @@AussieArvos ADR13 - They must also be mounted no lower than 250mm off the ground, and no higher than 1200mm. If you’ve got a ute with only one reverse light you’ll be able to install a light bar down low as your second; but if you have a wagon with two functioning reverse lights, a third on the roof rack will get you pinged, So what you show in the video is unarguably illegal you have 2 standard reverse lights and 4 LED reverse lights 6 in total on a vehicle that is 6 meters in length when its only mandatory for one. One bit of wording to pay close attention to is ‘up to a maximum of four’. This refers to additional lights so it includes fog lamps in a bullbar if the vehicle wasn’t originally fitted with them. Two new fog lights on the bar and a pair of HIDs in the middle will mean a light bar will count as a fifth light and be illegal - no matter where it’s mounted.
