Agreed! Getting new gear does inspire often with creation

If you swap the words “old” and “new” this video still makes sense.

@@itmeremy I like it. Early on in my photography journey (12 years ago) I was more inspired by new equipment than I am now. Now, I tend to buy one generation old used stuff which is still pretty great and still scratches that itch to use something "new to me" and fun. Thanks for making this vid.

@ericadams4101 that's fair. I think the thing there is "new to me", or possibly even something that you haven't used in a while

I hear you on the fidget toy thing. Manual lenses (new and old) get me excited like no other piece of gear does. The tactile engagement I get from manual focussing with a nice cine lens always makes we want to shoot and experiment. I don’t get any joy or satisfaction from using an AF lens - especially all the new generation focus-by-wire lenses which are unusable for manual focusing.

@eifionjones8513 Agreed. Until I got this, I'd only ever used those focus by wire photography lenses and it's safe to say it was quite the difference going to a cine lens
