Seattle Police Arrest High School Student After Staff Finds Loaded Gun in His Backpack

- On Friday, May 18, 2018 officers of the Seattle Police Department were called to the Franklin High School after school staff found a loaded handgun in the student's backpack. The 18-year-old student was called to the principal's office around 9 AM because he smelled like marijuana, and when he found out that the school was going to look in his bag he confessed that there might be a loaded gun in there. Just maybe. You know. Why not.
School staff confirmed the presence of a gun (and someone else's credit card) and the police were called.
The student was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm, and stolen property.
The police investigation did not find any indications that there was a threat of violence against the school.

The real story here is the guy who got his stolen gun back. Props to the cops and teachers, real heros who recovered a stolen credit card and gun.
I also appreciate the fact that the teachers and faculty showed professionalism and were't like freaking the hell out. The cops were very fair and respectful as well. This turned out to be a best case scenario all around in this situation. Hopefully that guns wasn't used in a crime prior to recovery.
In my opinion, that man better jump through some hoops to get that gun back. Don't want him losing it again

But, if a crime has to be committed to obtain the gun, such as the minor breaking and entering, you're not criminally liable...

It's a shame and heartbreaking how an adult teen boy like him would have to sacrifice his life because of keeping a dangerous weapon and wielding it when he knows he's not supposed to. If I would see any type of weapon that I don't know about, I would not get near it or even tell an adult if I was still in school myself as you never know whom may have used it. Other than that, the teen was really calm, understanding, and very patient with the officers as most teens and young adults would be verbally violent and impatient when it comes to resisting arrest.

The actual security have those, but if I am right they also have these balance bikes which go 6 miles an hour which is great indoors. They also have a hotline to the police in case some place is heaving riot like trouble.
Also, all nurses can do is hold you back and give you booty juice.
However, Security can do ANYTHING to stop you.
So when people escape in that place it's better to run past 20 nurses than running past 1 security officer.
Cause that security guy will proberly american football you to the floor while the nurse will proberly fall herself in a attempt to grab your arm.
(during my escape the PE nurse litterly told the other nurse to let me go bc she was afraid the crash would have been horrible and tbh it would she would have broken her back)

I've been looking into this, and it seems less than a year later he was killed. It's unfortunate to see anyone, let alone a highschooler, in a situation like this and then learn that he was murdered not long after.

WHOA, that school security lady used to work at my high school!! But my HS was in Vancouver, so she moved up to Seattle at some point after I graduated. She looked and sounded familiar, and the missing finger confirmed it for me. She did tell me the story once about how she lost it, but that was a long time ago....probably 2009 or 2010? So I don't really remember what she said, lol. I'm surprised she's still working, I thought she was close to retiring. I never really knew her that well, because I stayed out of trouble. But she was always really professional when I saw her. Even when there were some real asshole students that would frequently get in trouble. Never thought I'd see someone I used to know in a CZcams video!
