If you let the air out of the tire put chains on than air back up chains will be nice and tight

my 1025r will be delivered this week and I am spending my time watching everything I can about them. I want to thank you for this video as it answered a few of my concerns about chains and 60d clearance issues.

Should use Loctite on those inner bolts

Did you not see him add Loctight blue thread-lock at 9:44 in the video?
He also discussed blue vs red thread lock at the same time.

Nice job, according to John deere, all wheels should be torqued at 70 foot pounds , so your good.ther, let us know if you feel a difference.

Do you really need the chains? I use a loader mounted 72” blade 60” box blade for weight, tires not loaded with no issues. R4 tires like yours. You’re using a blower so an easier push in the snow.

Great video . Where did you get that kneeling pad with handles ? It sure would help around my garage for obvious reason. I’m gettin old !!! Thanks for vid.

It was a present from my daughter to use in my garden but it comes in handy any time I have to kneel. My daughter couldn’t remember exactly which brand she bought but if you do a search for garden kneeler you can find multiple ones to choose from. Glad you liked the vid!

How close is it now to the mower deck i just bought a 1025r and everything i cut is on a hill

These wheel spacers offer the appearance of either aluminum or magnesium. In either case, the road salt in the northeast will destroy them in no time at all. The dissimilar metals with the water and salt will create electrolysis. You may want to reconsider your choice of spacers.

I have a 1025 also. Do you know if those spacers will work on the front tires.? I use chains on the front and they are to close to the steering linkage.

Bro-Tek does make a set of 1.4” for the front: bro-tek.com/products/view.php?&eid=60160277 that should be what you are looking for. I can’t think of any issues you would have off the top of my head using them other than possibly being closer to the edge of the plate for your drive over mower deck (if you have one). If you end up getting them, I’d love to hear how they worked out for you.

will those work with the 54" mower deck? and by the way i have a 97 2 door Cherokee as well.and its a stick no power windows. good video keep at it.

I don’t believe the spacers will work with a 54” deck, unfortunately. If you take a look at this post: www.greentractortalk.com/threads/1025r-bro-tek-wheel-spacers.195942/ they show a picture (#20) of the rear wheel clearance on a 54” deck and it is < 1”. Hope that helps.

i was wondering the same thing because i have a 54' deck on my 1025r and wanted to have more stability myself.. the 6' deck just seemed too wide for what i wanted and getting through gates is a must.@@lifeinthesticks743
