Jon and Dolorous Edd imo. As Lord Commander, Jon is always brooding and overly serious, while Edd is sullen yet cracking some of my favorite jokes in the series. Always great to have them together

I really liked Arya and Tywin's dynamic. It really showed us a different side to Tywin, and he taught her to think through her moves carefully

I actually think my favorite duo is Jojen and Meera Reed. I really really love their sibling dynamic and how they each use their individual strengths to support the other, and they’re both supportive of each other’s weaknesses.

Aegon II and Sunfyre, heavily underrated, their bond doesn't get talked about enough.

My best friend and I do kinda have a Ned Stark/Robert Baratheon type of dynamic in the sense that we're more than just friends, but we're like brothers. He's older and the oldest of his siblings, but doesn't get along well with them like Robert with Stannis and Renly, and I'm a second son like Ned and I tend to be more reserved and level-headed. If my friend found himself in a position of power he would want me to act as his advisor and I would do it.
I think GRRM must have been a fan of the TV show The Odd Couple. His pairing and humor with the duos is very reminiscent of the old show.

I never came to love Dany’s relationship with Drogo because of how it started. He BOUGHT her and then raped her every night until she learned from her servant girl how to ‘seduce him.’ Gross
I don’t think anyone is supposed to read through that relationship and think too well of it especially considering Dany’s age of around 13 while Drogo is a grown man probably in his late 20’s or 30’s.
The buying her part is definitely gross too, but it’s also super common in the series and in our own history. Pretty much every highborn marriage in the series comes with either money involved or some type of promise in place wether that be military or political alliances, etc.
Like even Cat Tully would be labeled as being sold to the Starks in exchange for the Tully’s joining Roberts Rebellion.

the whole things between sansa and sandor isnt romantic. first off, everytime the hound appears to be romantic towards sansa is when hes drunk off his ass. second of all, sansa is a stupid 12 year old girl who doesnt know any better and had a weird sort of perspective on things. GRRM has stated smth similar to this.
