Two restaurants with nearly 100 demerits combined have customers paying close attention. 13 Chief Investigator Darcy Spears has this week's Dirty Dining.
I worked at oyshi for 1 week. I was so grossed out, I quit. I refuse to work at a place that doesn't have a good work ethic as far as cleaning. I have a responsibility to my customers regardless of where I work. They also stored the sushi rice in a large container in the kitchen & it was rolled around everywhere. It is so gross!! I never ate there.
That is what the staff is for. We all know what the health policies are. It's common sense. You either clean & keep the cleaning up, keep the points in check or don't work in that type of Career. It's not that difficult. It's called laziness. Period!!
That is a bad one. It's not an easy fix. You really have to keep the ice machine cleaned at least every 3 months or so. Thank goodness I never had a dirty ice machine. I'm very picky about that stuff.
How did they get an A so fast? That’s a lot of demerits. It sounds and looks like that’s just how they run their businesses. That much dirt is not from a given work day.
You are correct but family owned business are more notorious for things like these because they don't have a big corporation looming over them. That doesn't mean you're wrong though.
They don't want to get sued for their blatant fearmongering like telling customers not to eat there as they walk by even though when they are on the scene the business has been passed to operate for the time
Oyshi restaurant saying it was "mistakes".... my man, I wrap my hair up, wash up to my elbows, and sanitize all surfaces in my kitchen as if I'm performing surgery, all before I make Christmas cookies for my own family lol And you run a public restaurant!
Maybe if the restaurant owners were present and would not hire these so called chefs (campesenos fresh across the border), they wouldn't have these health problems.
What’s up with all the restaurants in Vegas having no hot water I never heard of that. You must have crappy water heaters as an ex-plumber I find that to be a strange problem there.
Dangit I love Hwaro ! But after seeing this I'm disturbed to the fact that the owner had no comment. That worries me even more!! I guess I'm going to Gen Korean BBQ and Hanu from now on.
Why Chinese is operating Sushi🤔 Sushi is traditional food, needs skills, should not everyone to start opening the restaurant. You had better check them before eating there.
Disgusting n in a good part of town that sushi restaurant. I am coming from food n beverage industry n I was an assistant manager in casinos n hotels n I was very very involved with the line n outside the line in the kitchen I participated in always to help my employees. Even my first job in management of a theater in a hotel at 16 we all participated in cleaning n healthy dining room cleaning. Ur as strong as the owner n management team it's them who own the wrongs as they should. Train n stay on top of ur restaurant n staff.
If you are going to nick pick any restaurant, you will find many faults. Heck I had a barber that told me if any single piece of hair , no matter what size is found in their storage drawers they would be fined. This is a barber shop, how do keep hair out of anything.
Change the towels lining the drawers constantly. I'm glad they're picky. If it wasn't for the health department we consumers would be so sick. Look at what happened to the people that died of e Coli from contaminated beef.
@@kfmcm I doubt that, like one of the violations is not having health code periphery pasted on your walls. It says nothing of your cleanliness just because you do or do not have a handwashing sign. A lot is just bureaucratic red tape for optimal conditions rather than actual assessment
You know you’re screwed when Darcy comes for a visit.😂
true but i don't think asians don't give a ratsass about sanitation
it helps their appetite when they see live rodents

I worked there for 1 week & was disappointed & disgusted. That is at both places.
@@cb9137 not really. See my comments.
Restaurants ought to have someone on staff specifically concerned with sanitary conditions.

Deep cleaning, fixing violations like fly traps on the back doors, fixing temperature controls. That can fix 20 points.
Like the only target Asian establishments? I've gotten sick of Carl Jr's and Denny's before, I don't see you prying through them
Yup because they racist af

Correction: "They be racist"
@LA Group
I'd be embarrassed to admit stepping into a CJ or Denny's.
I doubt this restaurant is owned by Japanese...it's definitely not ran by them. Real Japanese people are Extremely disciplined and clean.
It's owned by Koreans - manager is Micheal Yoon

I hope they fix it. Especially with Covid-19. We need cleaner restaurants and society!
If the owner has no comment, don´t visit it.

I'm glad to be an amazing cook for myself lol
You tell people not to leave the door open; they don't listen, and flies come in.
