Adrian ever since you started doing the videos by yourself the video lady .
Its much better than before
You have a lot to offer as a individual and as a businessman
Thanks!
I totally agree! I've really been enjoying these videos a lot lately. Much more so than with all the other people in it. Nothing wrong with them. I enjoy watching them too.
But they just don't have the same amount of real life experiences in the industry, and aren't quite as charming as Adrian is. ✌️
Grabbed a Stellar Strata on sale and glad I did, sold out now. For under $2k USD paired it with Klipsch Forte IV and so far sounding wonderful.
Been into audio since the 80’s, what you can buy today on a budget is far superior.
The old days you had to buy magazines to read reviews, these days information and reviews are everywhere. Young audiophiles are so lucky. 😎
I agree ,bang for buck today is great , new technology makes everything sound good
Ya but young people can't buy houses anymore.
Lucky that some of us older folks are adamant about the preservation of analog. Unlucky that attention spans can barely last for one track much less what the elders refer to as an album.
Now we need up to 10k, great vid, happy holidays!
Very much appreciate this video. Wish Hegel did multi channel. But as an impoverished country pastor I can only look through he window and drool.
I like your solo videos but also appreciate the different perspectives you staff brings. Either way your audience wins and learns.
Great advice! Thank you
Thanks for addressing this topic! You can open the world of quality sound at this particular price point. I am so please with the synergy in my system that ironically cost $5000 - the whole system! Yes, the synergy is critical. Mine: Rogue Audio Sphinx V3 hybrid tube integrated amp, Tannoy Revolution XT-8F tower speakers, Fluance TT with an Ortofon Blue cartridge, and a Denon CD player. You're good to go! Don't spend a fortune on speaker cables or interconnects. Good luck and enjoy!
Hey Adrian, congratulations on your award. Well deserved.🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!
Great video, Adrian. However, I see the ML1 MKII are behind you. They should either be in the process of getting broken in OR if they are idle, a review of them should already be out. Keep up the great work!
So which amp you like going with the Lumina Series? Is the Naim a well match or would you prefere another amp? Thanks!
Thank you again Adrian. Can you place the Magnepan 3.7 in a relative comparison and/or review? Best regards. Tom eh
Great video.
Thanks
Vandersteen 2ce. A perennial favorite.
Love your CZcams reviews.. ❤ my LRS+’s👍
Thanks and congrats!
Really good stuff here. If the general public knew about this, more people would have good systems.🎸
Thanks
Adrian Low to me is the definition of a true Canadian, now help a brother out and send me those Watt Puppy/Sasha’s that are collecting dust!
Anytime you are ready to buy them, I'll happily ship them to you! Actually all Sasha DAWs are gone
@@adrianlow2114 oh man that was fast, well they’re definitely on my wish list.
Thank you for this video Adrian. I’m one of those guys this video applies to budget wise.
Great! Hope it helps
@@adrianlow2114 any tips on an integrated tube amp in those ranges?
What about the Hegal h190 vs Peachtree preamp/Gan 400? Im trying to decide between these 2.
When can we expect to hear your take on the new active Sonus Faber Duetto? Seems to be the perfect all in one budget package.
H190 at that price is a great deal. It is also Roon Ready but is not wireless so will need to connect to a router via Ethernet cable. Of course this assumes that you are a Roon subscriber. All you need to add is a pair of good speakers for a complete system. Can’t go wrong with the H190.
Neumann KH150 + 750 + MA1 / Crane Song Solaris DAC / Genelec 8331 or the best way, leave your current gear and spend 5K in Room Acoustics and Subwoofer & DSP against room modes. Thats the best way to get realy a step forward to get more & cleaner sound (informations) in your room
how would the Hegel compare to my new Rega Elex mk4?
$5000 is an interesting number. When I got into the industry, $5000 was the price you could pay for the entry level floor standing speaker of a brands high end. For example, B&W 804, Focal JMLab Electra 926, Linn Espeks, Paradigm Studio Reference 100s.
Adrian, the PS Audio Stellar Strata is actually 100 watts at 8ohm, and 200 at 4ohm according to the PS Audio website. ✌️
actually from their web site: Both channels driven 120vac mains, 1kHz, 1% THD
100W minimum @ 8Ω
150W minimum @ 4Ω
Stable for musical transients @ 2Ω
What integrated do you prefer with the mofi sp10? Great videos by the way
Both the Hegel H190 and the PS Stellar Strata work really well, depends on what you like soundwise.
The H190 will be upgraded by Hegel early next year and that is the reason for the sale. The new model "may" be called the H200, but not sure yet (the H590 was recently replaced by the H600). At the discounted price, the H190 is a steal, and since it has been around for awhile, reliability of the H190 should be excellent.
It will still be called h190 with a phono mm
@@paulomontero12 Any other details on the new H190?
Request: good bad ugly…..Goldenear. Before and after the sale toAQ
What about the rumor that Martin Logan brings next year in spring new models *to replace ESL 11/13/15?
I own Innuos Zen mk3 and have Roon and compared it to Sense, yet still prefer Roon (usability wise). But with every update Sense comes closer.
No confirmation
Do a review on those McIntosh ML1 mk2 Adrian . I'm sure a lot of McIntosh people are curious.
Just wonder if PS Audio Stellar Strata and Dynaudio 30 is a good match or something like Hegel is better?
Haven't tried on the Dynaudio
Turntable ?
Would the PS Audio Steller Strata work with the Magnapan Lrs?
Yes
@@adrianlow2114 Are you using this combination?
H190 & Lumina V ...
...also, when can I expect to see some Amator in the shop? =)
We have the Electa Amator III
I would have also included the MartinLogan Motion XT F100 at $4,500 USD a pair.
Tried to keep it under $5,000 CDN but agreed, the XTF100 is very good indeed
@@adrianlow2114 Since you cheated a little bit on the MoFi Sourcepoint 10 being over $5,000 CAD, I figured I could add a few hundred more for the XTF100.
LRS are great, however, it should be mentioned that they require a lot of current and that ain't cheap.
Adrian: “fussy to work with”, also I think Adrian meant to say it’s the iFi ZenStream 🤣
When/if sorted very nice streamer.
Lol. Sounds good when it works 😅
I feel like I’m one of the few that isn’t enamoured with the Mofi’s. I much prefer the Sonus Faber’s and Maggie’s.
Surprise that Anthem / Paradigm as no « good » mention in that rating… thanks!
We don't sell these, and in general I don't review products we don't own. Having said that Anthem is very good!
good point... my mistake I did not think it :)@@adrianlow2114
For me it’s the Pro-Ject Audio Design XTension 9 evo Superpack turntable with the Ortofon MC Quintet Black S 4.000€
4 grand lol I paid 2 grand not that long ago how the hell did they go twice the price what's up!
Hate hyped up products (eversolo)
So if one goes to all the trouble to make a great product at a great price point. And spends money to advertise it so people find out about it. They succeed at this so well. That it becomes the hot product that everyone wants.
All good things IMHO. And all things that aren’t easy to get right. Despite people paying big money to go to business/engineering school to learn about them. You hate them? I would love to hear your explanation for that? 🤦🏻
A Hegel amp? Uhm, I’m more into Nietsche.🤔
The ever solo.
I don't believe the hype
Have you tried it?
I don’t believe in much, but I do believe in Shakti Stone….
Way under 5 grand, but valued twice as much…Shatki Stone and Shatki on lines. For the discerning ear a Shatki recommendation. Get on the good side of sound!
