- Whats up guys and welcome back to another youtube video. Just wanted to apologize for the blown out footage throughout the video as we are using new equipment and are still trying to dial everything in. However this video is about my experience with my F80 M3 for the past year iv'e owned it. Just trying to give you guys a general idea of what these cars are capable of if you maintain them and drive them often. Huge shoutout to @Jonathan Wang for pitching in on this video and giving his opinion as well. Hope you guys enjoy this video as much as we did recording it and as always LIKE, COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE!!!

S1000RR M-Sport owner here - comfort: 6/10, reliability: 9/10, fun: 10/10
‘18 M4 Comp here. As someone with lower back pain, I have no issue with the comp seats. The side holsters hugging you in place is a good makes up for no lumbar support to me.
Also switched 20” comp wheels to 19” 437M with PS4S 265/35 fronts 285/35 rear. It’s perfect 👌🏽
Yea the comp seats aren’t terrible lol just for me it’s the longer road trips that do me in. I currently have ps4s on my comps but I’m planning on getting new wheels soon properly 19’s
why'd you switch to 19" 437M? Less harsh of a ride?
For me driving for more than like an hr the comp seats tend to get uncomfortable but can’t complain we own //Ms haha. Im on my 2nd //M these are really reliable like you Wang said just keep up with the maintenance. F80/F82/F87s are just a blast to drive 😮💨
This is a really good video. It’s lowkey what I needed lol. Having a certified tech casually answering questions and having fun is dope. I’m looking into an F80 (my friend has a 2018) and I love the thrill/aesthetics. I’m coming from a 2019 S5 so I’m patiently waiting next year for the right opportunity to make the switch. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the kind words brotha! hope you find the M3 you're looking for this year!
The visuals 🤯🔥🔥
Amazing video very informative and love both the cars absolutely beautiful 💯
Thank you 🙏🏽
Solid video my brothas! Cinematics we’re juicy 🔥 & this M3 is definitely driven how it should be 💯. Approaching 1k subs 👀
🤫🤫🤫 lol and you’re is too 😂 be taking 200 plus mile trips every other weekend lmao
Great review...Best line "has not left me stranded like most BMWs do" lol 😆
Only speaking the truth… ask me how ik hahaha
Nice breakdown. Excellent cinematography
Thank you 🙏🏽
The Turner skidplate saved my ASS so much on my Pre LCI M4... i desperately need to install one on my F80
Lol don’t play games man 🤣 get to it
Had 2013 f30 335i n55 pre lci ran it to 90,000 miles. Ran strong had flame tune stock turbos no issues, just regular maintenance.
Any vehicle will last as long as you take care of it ✊🏽
You take good care of the M3 bro. no doubt she'll last forever!
I try my best lol
clean.
2018 M3 competition with 46,000 miles with no issues so far and $0 in maintenance under the pre-paid maintenance plan. It’s been a very robust and reliable car so far. 🤞
Glad it’s treating you well brotha! Enjoy it!
Comp seats ain’t really that bad for me either I daily mine and have drove to jersey and back both 7 plus hrs lol btw great review bro 👍 looking forward to more content!
Yea I just have some back problems haha but they aren’t terrible 🤣 and thanks bro more content coming soon! ✊🏽
Nooooo not the
BMW! Glad Ben’s alright
Lookin forward to see what’s next
Thanks man 🫱🏽🫲🏻
I really like this video ultimately I went with the G80 simply because like how you said you're picky I am super picky and iIcould not find a clean one all last year I wanted a 2018 all black M3 comp with under 30k miles and that my friend is rare I like minor modifications too so at that point i just said let me just order something new. But in the future if I bump into a clean F80 i would jump on it.
New subscriber love the content the the daily driven introduced me to you r channel
Welcome to the channel 🙏🏽 and thank you for subscribing ✊🏽
@@ShrugMedia anytime bro!!!!
Never really had any issue with my 3 Bimmers that was not self inflicted.
I’m glad to hear that brotha lol and I’m sure the self inflected wasn’t intentional 😂
The M🌲 has treated you well. The videos are definitely evolving in terms of quality. Keep up the good work brothas. 1k coming!
That’s… white 🦦 hahah
Whatchu think about the crank hub bro? Just copped an F80 I’m so excited
Crankhub is a single digit issue. If you are scared, do it. But personally, I have a 112k mile M4 that's Stage 2 tuned and is on the stock crankhub.
See I know this long standing joke about BMW reliability, but I can speak for myself and one of my close mate, I had 5 BMWs with 1 M car and my friend had 4 and 3 of those were M models, I am on my F80 M3 Comp too, neither one of us had ever experienced any form of reliability issue, the only "issue" if you would call it that was my 320i M sport had a battery fault after a year but factory warranty covered that and the my friend had a hand break cover came loose and it was covered again under warranty; other than that, never once experienced any issues that would get us stranded on the side of the road, and we have done plenty of road trips and tracked ours too, never once skipped a beat, but like Wang said, do your scheduled maintenance on time as both of us do ours exclusively at the BMW dealer and we always buy a service pack so you know what your running cost would be (trust me that's worth the money and don't get any other add ons), fuel shouldn't be a big deal in my opinion since we don't really know how many more years we would have the pleasure of enjoying ICE cars; and in Australia (where I am from, everything is far more costly than USA), according to our local NRMA insurance stats, BMW holds it's value same way as a lexus does, at least for the first 5 years and it depreciates significantly less than its German rivals; if reliability was such a problem then I doubt that would be the case; some great piece of advice for all those out there considering a second hand BMW car, 1: Try to always buy from a BMW dealer with points check & service history instead of buying private unless you had proper professional training on what to look for; 2: Check for a German produced VIN number and lower KM or Ms if possible; 3: Lastly, don't let your emotions get the best of you and if the deal is too good to be true, it usually because it is, so always have a second pair of eyes with you while doing the inspection; 4: Lastly, avoid buying any heavily modified cars, as it usually voids warranty even if there's any, also, unless you can guarantee the work yourself then don't bother, a lot of the damages can't be reversed so keep that in mind and also, unless you want to run yours into the ground, any mods won't reflect on the resale value for European cars, it's completely different in JDM world but for Germans or exclusively BMW, don't be surprised if your mods aren't appreciated by dealers when going for a trade and they are usually harder to sell in private market; if you keep those points to heart, I am sure you will be a very happy Bimmer for a very long time! #sheerdrivingpleasure!
Just curious, how much mm was this lowered by front and rear?
Don’t have exact specs for MM’s lowered brotha sorry
Lmao got the same corolla and the seats are horrendous compared to my sti seats. Maybe a f80 might be the next car
I’ve had my 2018 F82 for a year as of a few weeks ago. Zero issues. Just your normal maintenance
Glad to hear it
How long did it take you to get this car ?
Ummm about 7 years from the time I wanted one
Just got my f80 couple months ago, what kind of inspection should I get to make sure nothing is leaking or faulty
You can take it into your dealer or a shop of your choosing and ask for an hour diagnoses or vehicle check to have the technician inspect the ins and outs and scan the vehicle to make sure everything is as designed.
People complain about reliability on BMW's mainly because they're haters. I've had two BMW's thus far, both non M cars, driven them hard and never once did they give me any issues at all. In fact I've owned two other brands, Honda and Renault, both those cars broke down but not once did the bimmers I owned ever break down
As long as your drive your bimmers they won’t give you any issues. Glad to hear you’ve had a good experience thus far
You had a Honda break down on you 😂😂😂😂😂.. please tell me make model year and mileage...
Hondas always have loads of issues, I know I owned four, still love them, but I got me a 420i for the past 8 years, no issues
@@vesuviusenigma7739 LOL ok.. tons of issues.. look at cost of ownership. It's cool that you're the one person that has never had an issue with a BMW.. poll the audience and every other video on the internet about oil pan gaskets, intercoolers, and other items that are known to go on a BMW..
@@antcruz83 the only reason things don’t go wrong on Hondas compared to bmw is the lack of tech, bmw put a lot into they’re cars and sometimes that isn’t always the best thing, as for drivetrain, BMWs are amazing and will rarely let you down
Mang, I met you at the dragon. Cool.... should asked me about the durability of my e92 M, @213k
Haha @jamalpha is my ig message me on there!
Hey man what year is it
2018
Your thoughts on the Crank Hub?
I’ll have a whole video on it soon
Getting a solid crank hub. Catless downpipe single mid pipe and the AA madmax on Monday. Here we go 2018 F80 zcp
Nice!
What year is it
2018
Looks like a gta6 leaked footage
24thousand miles already had leaks , reliability yeah right
Unfortunately bmws have to be driven so the gaskets heat up and cool down often. The first owner before me had the car for 4 years and only drove 15k miles so ik it was going to have some leaks but nothing major.
Wow you guys use a lot of words to say very little.
Thank you for taking the time to watch the video 👍🏽
