Do you really need di2 for cyclocross? I would think the mud would eventually gunk up the electronics. Also, more of the cute bike shop girl !
Di2 is brilliant for CX. It shifts seamlessly every time. Obviously it'll get muddy but I won't be racing on this on the really really bad races. I have a single speed cx which i'd prefer to use for them

These videos would be so much better with a little go pro footage. Really sad that you go on all of these great rides and none of the journey is captured on camera other than the times you pull out the big camera.

Your right but I think the accepted understanding of it comes down to ideas of scale. Meeting the person who makes your bike and knowing that it was built one-at-a-time rather than via mass production methods is where many perceive the value to be.
