    We have a 2012 G37 RWD with 81k on it. Same color. I like the rear deck spoiler herein.

      I really like that color. I think they’re rare as I used to look for some parts to replace hail damaged parts, but had no luck.

    Thanks for the video. I was wondering if I could get away with the fluid change without having to keep pumping the fluid and monitoring the temp by changing the fluid when the car is completely cold? In that case, I would just measure the cold amount of fluid I drained and add the same amount through the fill plug. One thing I'm not so sure about is if I would be able to fill all the fluid back through the fill plug without having it get overfilled? If that happens would tilting the car do the trick? Thanks again for your great videos!

      I'd say having the vehicle warm would be enough without checking exact temperature. If you want to do it cold and filling back exact the same amount, that would work because even if you overfill the drain pan that way, you can quickly close the drain bolt. Main issue I have with this method is if your transmission has a small leak somewhere, you won't get correct capacity. To me personally, doing the fill while vehicle was running was very easy and easier than measuring old fluid.

    The engine has to be running when you check the final level. I'm not sure that was clear to the viewers?

    • @PZPal
      @PZPal  Před rokem +3

      That is correct, thanks

    just to confirm, fill plug is letting out so much oil even though that's how your check level. is this because engine is off when opening the first time vs running when you set the final level.

    • @PZPal
      @PZPal  Před 8 měsíci +2

      Yeah exactly. I guess it all depends what transmission is doing at the time engine is off. And the fill procedure is straight from original service manual.

    I'm going to Change my transmission filter. How many quarts do I need?

    • @PZPal
      @PZPal  Před 2 měsíci +1

      It goes by how many you drain if you want to count it like that, but if your transmission was leaking or burning oil you won’t get accurate amount. You better of using technique shown in the video.

    How come you didn't check the fluid level when the car is running at the end? Isn't that the proper way?

    • @PZPal
      @PZPal  Před 7 měsíci

      You can’t check it. You just go by fill hole sipping oil. You can check on older models but not on those.

    • @PZPal

      The system is called kwik-lift. I got it on marketplace (fb or craigslist) for about $500, new ones go for about $1500

    I have just hit 200,000 on my 2009 G37 and at times it does skip just alittle , should I just top off the Transmission fluid, and keep it going? I know changing it would be bad for the transmission, so maybe a top off would help??
    Thank You

    • @PZPal
      @PZPal  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I think you’ll be fine if you do simple drain and fill. If you do vacuum out fluid and fill new one then you are very likely to see issues

    • @abdieltorres6134
      @abdieltorres6134 Před 8 měsíci

      Thank you , yeah, I def will not do the vacuuming of the fluid , I’ll check the fluid and see if it needs a top off and go from there .
      The special fill tool , where can I get that ?

    • @PZPal
      @PZPal  Před 8 měsíci +3

      I didn’t try it on any 09 but you can return it on Amazon if it doesn’t fit. I am sure it will work with no issues.

    How many qrts does it get?

    • @PZPal
      @PZPal  Před rokem +2

      Don't go by what you see in the video. It all depends on driving behavior and gear placement etc. just see how much drains out and then still do proper fill method.
