    Thanks Monroe! Answered a lot of questions of why my model recently started having problems. Before I never thought of how the parts worked together. You're a tremendous talent!

    I was surprised with one of these as a "please let me out of the dog house" gifts, and I was over the moon with happiness! As a mother of a messy preteen boy and several cats, I've grown to love my 3 different Shark vacuums and this hoover shampooer! But I'm having serious issues with suction and I can't figure it out. A tank of clean water out and I'm only getting maybe a third of it back. All I can find is that the rubber gasket (?) On the dirty water tank won't set properly in one spot. Would something like that cause such a loss of suction? I've watched so many of your videos, and you just crack me up sometimes! I love that you aren't super scripted robot like so many other videos. It's like your a real human being! So thank you!

    • @monroevac
      @monroevac  Před 3 lety

      Thank you 🙂 and yes the gasket can be the cause of auction problems. This may seem a bit clumsy, but try taping up the lid (cover the seem ) just to see if sealing it off affects the suction. Just want to eliminate the lid and tank as the cause. If it is...then try using contact cement to hold the gasket in place. Let me know if that helps

    Mine leaks out from bottom of dispenser immediately after I put the full clean water tank on it. I’m looking for a video on how to repair it. ( no leaking from the tank itself it only happens after I refill and replace the tank on the machine) yes I cleaned it, yes it’s seated correctly. I use it often and it’s over $350 to replace it. FH53010. Hoover smartwash pet complete.

    So I have this same prob right now! Is it cheaper to have the motor fixed or buy a new machine altogether

  • @ronitruhlar3305

    I agree on sharing your knowledge or information. I'm the same way. Let me tell you what I did. I got lazy and cleaned right over some kitty liter and right away my smart wash started making a bad sound. So I stopped. Should I get to the motor and see what damage I caused?i Or is that even fixable? I've only used it about 5 times. Still paying on it. If you could, please reply. You have a great attitude.

    • @monroevac
      @monroevac  Před 2 lety

      When you mentioned kitty litter the 1st that came to mind is the brush rolls. Try running the unit without the brushes turning. That way you are eliminating one of the moving parts. It’s possible the the noise is not coming from the motor but the brushes. we want to know for sure

  • @MrMuugoo
    @MrMuugoo Před 2 lety

    The brushes on my FH model stopped. I had read that the bearings in the brush mechanism were prone to rusting.so not wanting to open it up I cut the top off a 2 litre pop bottle, filled it to the top with vinegar and dunked the side with the bearings into it then left it in the vinegar for almost 2 days. I took it out dried it off put in the brushes and they began to spin as normal. It may not work for everyone but it couldn’t hurt to try.

    Thanks for sharing this video but I have one question that sound inside motor you talked about just happened so I was wondering if i were to open up and clean up Rust or whatever it has going on inside if its still able to save?

    • @monroevac
      @monroevac  Před 3 lety

      If you are hearing noise in the motor; it’s either the fan, the carbon brush or the bearings. Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do. The motors aren’t designed to repair or hack. Someone who knows how to rebuild theses, may do it, but you may have to either replace the motor or buy a new machine.

    My bissel smartwash doesn't spray water from the bottom but it does spray from the hand nozzle. What could be causing the issue?

    • @monroevac
      @monroevac  Před 2 lety

      It met be the handle. Try squeezing the trigger. You should have some resistance if not then that’s possibly the source of the problem. Also try removing the nozzle and see if the water sprays. That’s a staring point to troubleshoot

    I have a FH53000 Hoover smartwash. This is my 3rd replacement because of the same issue which is the cleaner stopped dispensing water with solution. What am I doing wrong. It works with the attachments but not when you go from front to back.

    I used mine a FH51010 for a week bought on clearance, but new. Have old dog i have to shampoo after 4 times a day or more, the tank the water and shampoo goes in pours out the water now from that soring valve, its up inside the plastic piece thats duppose to hold it down, the little spring inside the tank that inside that plast piece is broken, one side of plastic is way up anove the other side, looks like the clear plastic piece has broken lose on the right side it let the spring come up in it. Now it want stop water from pouring out the bottom on the tank. Can you get a replacement plastic piece for the spring valve to fit in to stop the water from pouring out the bottom of water tank?

    • @monroevac
      @monroevac  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Unfortunately they don’t sell the insert, the only Option is to buy a tank . Part number #440005714 you may have to buy from a site like eBay because the tank is discontinued
